Based on TripAdvisor reviews, I had very low expectations for Uncle Tan B&B. Like most travellers, I was staying here one night prior to my stay at Uncle Tan Base Camp (Note: This review is for the B&B, NOT the jungle trek). The staff at reception was very helpful right from the start (including the very friendly little boy who...

We stayed in a private room with shared bathroom and were surprised to find air conditioning in our room! This made the stay very pleasant, as well as the great bedding. There are lots of bugs but understandable - you're on the edge of a rainforest. All meals are included and this was some of the best food we ate...

We stayed in a private room in the longhouse near the back of the property as it was only a RM4 price difference from the dorm for both of us - glad we did as the room was far more spacious, had aircon and very quiet. It's quite good value as all 3 meals are included (and is excellent, loved...

I took a group to uncle Tans for two nights, the aircon wasn't working in the dorm room, and didn't look like it had been for a while, I spoke to the manager who eventually put them in the 2/3 person rooms with aircon. The whole place seemed very run down, but had obviously been a lovely place at one...

I stayed here for 2 nights to visit the orangutan sanctuary in Sepilok. I stayed in the basic dorm for about 50 ringgit per night. This might sound like a lot, but breakfast, lunch and dinner is included. There is also free tea and coffee and biscuits. The food is cooked by the family who own the place and it...

We booked uncle tans b&b for the night after our 2d 1n tour to the wildlife camp on the Kinabatangan. We stayed in the longhouse-type building and were the only people staying there at the time so had it all to ourselves! Very cheap value and includes all your meals. Food was basic but did the job. Try the pineapple...

We stayed there before we went on a jungle tour. The rooms are clean, the air-conditioning is working fine and the breakfast is included. The only negative point I can give is the lack of hot water, but at the end you get what you pay for.

Basic clean rooms, good value for money. THe staff is very friendly and there is a chill and relaxed atmosphere. We arrived very late due to mechanical failure of our bus , nevertheless we got a nice warm dinner.

It's good value for money directly in Sepilok close to the Orang Utan Sanctuary. The price includes three free meals, namely breakfast, lunch and dinner, which were really tasty. The dorm and the facilities were clean and comfortable, but the flush of the toilets didn't work properly.

My friend and I stayed in a double room with a private bathroom and air conditioning which we paid RM 116 so only RM58.30 each. This cost is not much more compared to getting a dorm room. Our room was very basic (literally one double bed and nothing else in the room). The rooms were tired and the walls are...
