I won't repeat what everyone else has already said - all I can say is that if you can't decide which river lodge to stay at, stay with Jason and Gert at this place! You won't be disappointed! I loved it. The stairs are hard the first time but that's only because you don't know what's at the top yet::-)...

We stayed at this boutique resort based on the good rating of Tripadvisor. Jason, Gert and their team for sure gave us a once-in-a-lifetime experience! If only for those more then 500 stairs to climb to begin with! Rooms were big and super clean, food was great and very personalised but the best was the hospitality, the nice chats, the...

We have been at the Last Frontier resort in august with two adults and two kids (6 and 8) and we loved it. Gert and Jason are very friendly, the food was excellent, the boat trips amazing....We saw elephants, hornbills, monkeys, birds and a lot more animals on the boat trip. During the diner Gert let us taste different fruits...

This place is an amazing place to stay. There are 4 rooms and consequently the staff are very attentive to your individual needs. It is in a truly beautiful spot with amazing views and although the 500 or so steps are hard work it is really worth the walk!! The food is delicious and as a vegetarian they made me...

Last Frontier Resort is certainly a place I can recommend. It's build on the top of a hill surrounded by rainforest. The view is magnificient, the food even better. The rooms are clean and spacy. We had a good bathroom with a decent shower and warm water, a luxery in the jungle! We enjoyed the 2 rivercruises and the junglewalk....

I highly recommend this place. Check out our travel map - you can see how many places we have been and we are fussy. But this place was fantastic for the service. Truly, you will not get better service anywhere else and it really makes a difference. Belgian and Malaysian owners make the perfect mix. You get picked up from...

Incomprehensible fact that it was not was full, especially as we now know the hospitality of Gert,...

Our 2 night stay was wonderful. The rooms are spacious and inviting, with great views. The food is a very nice blend of different cousines, Jason was very interested in learning our recipes from Spanish cousine. Jason and Gert are great hosts, they are very involved in a programme to create a wildlife corridor. This is a real plus, if...

If you're looking for hosts who really care ... this is the place. Gert and Jason will do almost everything so that your stay at LFBR will be one to remember. They will arrange the transport ( a taxi driver or they drive themselves). They even booked our busride from the junction to Semporna. They waited to see us off...

What a wonderful place to stay and so worthy of all the positive feedback on Trip Advisor. Of course the location, the activities and the animal spotting were all superb and a unique experience for us but the pleasure of those were enhanced by the delightful staff and the extremely personal and friendly way in which the lodge is run....
