Check in was swift and easy. The room was clean. I must admit the place is a bit run down but they still try to preserve the heritage. We had the Halcyon Lodge 2 which is on the first floor, the only thing we didn't like about the room was the sound of the water pump that constantly pumps. That...

Stayed here as a couple for one night in July and to be honest it was one night too long. Don't get me wrong the staff are very helpful and friendly but the whole hotel is in need of a serious renovation. Am sure it was stunning in its day as a little England retreat but unfortunately our room was...

We had 4 marvellous days here and will book to come again This is 78 year old Typical English Country House and I cannot think of anything bad to say. We had a fantastic suite, very clean and comfortable with plenty hot water. The staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing, my only complaint...

We came to ye olde with our two young children to escape the haze in KL. We were expecting rustic old world charm but what we experienced was something quite different... On the positive side I would say the lunch was lovely (though we had a 45 minute wait), and staff were quite helpful. The location is good and the...

We've been to the Smokehouse in Cameron Highlands before so thought we'd give this place a shot. The premises itself is very quaint, rustic, feels very old English so if you like that sort of thing, this place is great for a meal (albeit so-so food). To stay there is another story. The room was large in size, but smelled...

Ye olde smokehouse has given very fond memories. The place is quaint and albeit a little run down it still lent a very English ambience. Staff service was excellent. Mukhtar the head waiter was so friendly and helpful. We had a huge dinner at the smokehouse. Simply superb! The lamb rack was so succulent and prepared to comfort the palate....

Rustic beauty. If you are looking for 5-star amenities, this isn't for you. If you are looking for simple, rustic and quiet time, this could be the place for you. Cleanliness - they can do better but it is acceptable. Not perfect but ok. I think management must ensure cleanliness because coming here, there is nothing much to do but...

Whilst the hotel merits 3.5/4 stars for what it is, it is by far the best place to stay in Fraser's Hill. The building is lovely, with beautifully furnished interiors and a lot of thought. The terrace provides a lovely spot for afternoon tea (recommended), whilst the bar, lounge and restaurant are all comfortable and welcoming. The rooms themselves are...

Visited multiple times to Frasers Hill and this is one of the exclusive accommodation that you can get in Frasers Hill for a stay here. This accommodation offers the olden England experience as Frasers Hill is found by Louis James Fraser in the 1890s (a hill station retreat was opened in the year 1922 for the British at that time)....

Checked in was swift and Simon showed us to our room. The room was equipped with the basic amnesties, a small fruit platter and some cookies which was a nice touch. However, the room lacks ventilation, it felt damp and stuffy inside. Has a musty smell. Lacks security when you open the window for fresh air as there are no...
