Not what I expected it to be. Great setting on well maintained piece of land. Well going to the rooms quite spacious and an old settung. Found the rooms quite dull n not well lit. I believe thr bathrooms could do with a bit of modernization. All in all I did enjoy my stay. Food is ok but I do...

We had buffet lunch here en route to treetops. This was by far our worst experience in our tour of Kenya. The buffet was Luke warm, the food poor. We had visited previously and had a much better quality. The gardens whilst pretty were not as well maintained as once they were. This place caters for many passing tourists but...

Outspan Hotel gets A+ for lovely grounds, well maintained lawns, lovely setting with scenic views, big spacious rooms (doubles not the single rooms), friendly and attentive staff not to forget the rich history accentuated by the old colonial architecture On the flip side, i would mark it down for underwhelming food with little to no variety and bland tasting for...

Your website is misleading as it says you transfer us to treetops. That stopped last year apparently! So you cost us extra because we had to pay for our driver and vehicle to access the park PLUS there was nowhere for our driver to stay so you cost us more in fuel too to get him back to Nyeri. The...

Had booked and confirmed two deluxe interconnecting rooms, and one standard room, based on the hotel website. The Deluxe rooms have a shower and bathtub, while the standard rooms are bathtub and/or shower. The rooms we were shown were clearly not Deluxe. They were so dated, with saggy beds, and a bathtub with no stand up shower. Asked to change...

Back in the day,Outspan was a force to reckon with,no other establishment in the locality was as good as this one.It is set in expansive serene grounds and everything about it spells history. However that is where the compliments end.Everything else has gone down, poor service, mediocre food.Absolutely no value for money.Unless things turn around, the old glory will be long gone very soon.

What can I say about outspan? It's very beautiful. It has amazing architecture, original furniture and it's surroundings are amazing. Unfortunately that's where the amazing ends. Food is sub-standard and takes up to 1 hour to get onto the table-they were pretty simple meals but took forever. The service was less than stellar; we returned a pot of Milo and...

Sitting outside in the patio with the beautiful park in front f you is really an enjoyable moment. Neither the service or the food is worth a journey, but if you are hungry and passing by it is absolutley no mistake to take a break here. One certainly gets the impression that the place has passed its peak.
