#14 of 371 Speciality lodging in Wadi Rum
Wadi Rum is one of the most dramatic landscapes in the world. During the day it is a tremendous, silent, breathtaking panorama. During the night it is a place of tranquility and peace under the dark sky as the flames of the campfire mixe with all the desert stars. Nowhere do the stars shine as brightly as in Wadi Rum. Our tours aim to help you experience the wonders of our ancient Desert home. We offer tours by Jeep, Camel and on foot of the incredible sights of Wadi Rum. Come try traditional Bedouin cuisine and spend the overnight stay right in the Desert surrounded by peacefulness and stars.

It's THE ONLY camp in Wadi Rum where you can just walk to the best climbing spot without having to rent a 4x4. You can easily walk to famous routes like "Merlin's Wand" in 20-30 minutes - and it's a fantastic walk. Each team of your group can climb different things (there are dozens of beautiful routes) and walk back to the camp indipendently as soon as the climb it's over. There are many good adventures and side canyons to be explored in the surroundings - without using car. Freedom! The camp is in a hidden place among mountains - unlike other camps it's very quiet (no noisy generators, no big lights) and feels very intimate. Will definitely come back as soon as possible.

We had a fantastic stay with Nadjah and his family for 2 nights in November 21. The camp is beautifully located perfect for exploring wadi rum. We really enjoyed our hike up Jabal Umm ad Dami with Yousef - highly recommend. Tents are basic but the toilet/shower facilities are clean and the communal tent very cosy with a big fireplace. Food is delicious and Nadjah even accommodated our vegan request. We felt very welcome and looked after from the moment we arrived. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Wadi Rum seeking a true Bedouin experience.

What is there to say? Nadjah and his family made us all feel like home. Everything was perfect from the very first moment, even when arranging our staying in this amazing and warm camp. We initially got in touch with Nadjah who arranged our staying and gave us the directions to get to the right location at the Wadi Rum desert, where his cousin Kyem came to pick us up and drove us to the camp. We've been welcomed with a hot traditional tea and an amazing dish made with vegetables and meat cooked in the traditional beduin way. For the next nights, Nadhaj, his brother and some friends joined us too and told us stories and entertained us with some live music played with the lute and we also had fun dancing on traditional Arabic songs. We weren there on a climbing trip and the camp is very close to Barrah Canyon, therefore the position was amazing. In addition, we had to go to another canyon and Nadjah drove us there back and forth and welcomed us with some tea in the desert. There are no enough words to describe the amazing experience we had in Wadi Rum, surrounded by amazing nature and at the same time by Nadhaj's family. We'd definitely recommend this camp to everyone! Thank you Nadjah.

Very welcoming hosts and a comfortable camp providing a unique experience in Wadi Rum. This is a smaller and quieter camp compared with many of the other camps that accommodate far larger numbers of tourists. A family run business, the owners are rightly proud of their camp and the experiences that they offer. They were very flexible in accommodating our specific request of climbing the highest peak in Jordan- Yusef was an excellent guide!

The secluded location, and the kindness, the generosity and the friendliness of Najhah and his staff made our stay unforgettable. No doubt, this is the most peaceful camp in the desert. The camp is located 20 minute walk from the northern entrance of Barrah Canyon. The camp is the ideal base station for all climbing and trekking activities in the canyon. On rest days, Najhah will reveal the secrets of the desert from the comfort of his jeep. In the evening you will be greated with a traditional Zarb, cooked right there in the camp. If you're looking for a peaceful, quite place to spend in Wadi Rum, Green Desert Camp is the place.
