I was staying at another hotel in the heart of town but went to visit a freind staying here and fell for the place. I quickly changed hotels and am now enjoying the comforts of the Camellia hotel.
This place is slightly out of town but very doable on a bicycle or scooter. It is so much quieter than my last place and the style of the room makes me feel like i am in an apartment. The feeling is you could stay long term in this large room. It has all the extras that you would expect from a nice hotel and you can even log into Netflix or many other stations on its smart TV. This hotel has a very good feel to it and I will stay here again if i come to Ninh Binh in the future. The staff and proprietors are all friendly and nice to be around.

Stayed here for 2 nights, a very last minute booking by us. The lady on reception was so helpful and let us check in right away (11am).
The room was big and very comfortable. The TV had Netflix. The room had a balcony and minibar.
We used the laundry service too which was reasonable.
Staff very friendly. Would recommend this hotel.

Good location : Hotel is located in centre of NB city, near walking street, local restaurants,..just 10mins by car to get Trang An, 15 mins to Mua cave, 20 mins to Hoa Lu.. 2 mins to walk to convenience store, 5 mins to Vinmart, 15 mins by car to BiG C sp-martket.

Perfect service: So nice staff. We had a little problem with door lock, and the man from reception took some tools and fixed it immediately . They gave us a map and so much helpful info for travelling.

A tiny trouble with small elevator and it runs so slowly haha.

Hotel was great, really good size room with a balcony and smart TV.
Location wasn’t the best, there’s not a lot nearby so we had to get taxis everywhere (and for some reason taxi drivers struggled to find the hotel, so I was having to give directions a lot!).
Service was good, staff were very attentive and wanted to give us a lot of information - a bit too much information at times, as they were a bit pushy about us doing things when we wanted to just relax and explore!
We had breakfast twice during our stay, as the menu in the bedroom stated it was included with the room. However on checkout we were given a bill and told this was not the case, so beware!
Overall I would recommend this hotel as it’s spacious and clean, but be prepared to travel a bit to see the local area.

Thank you for your review! When you book a room in our hotel you can choose with or without breakfast. In the confirmation email, you can check this too. Sometimes people forget. But I think it is a good thing that we make this clear when people order breakfast. So thank you for bring this up. We hope to see you again in our hotel :-)

This hotel has been so nice to stay in we decided to stay another night! They even gave us a discount for staying longer with them! The owners are super helpful and friendly. The owners English has been the best we've come across since being in Vietnam.
We came down to breakfast a little late but they didn't mind at all- the portions are quite large and the black coffee with milk is the greatest!
The rooms have been the largest and cleanest of all we've stayed in so far. The beds are a bit hard (I think every bed in Vietnam is) but the pillows are wonderful! The best part is having a shower curtain since not many hotels in Vietnam have one!
We rented scooters from them and they worked great and they helped us a lot since one of the people in our group had never drove one before. They gave us cold bottles of water to take with us and let us borrow sun hats for the day as well!
Can't say enough good things about this hotel!

We had a really mixed experience, but let me start with the positives. The rooms are spacious and clean, the driver we hired through the hotel was super nice, the location is ok, and I had a great time spending an evening with some of the staff after a soccer game.
Unfortunately, we also experienced a multitude of small annoyances which contributed to some serious frustration. I really don’t like to complain, so I don’t want to harp on them. So if there is one suggestion I can make, it’s that the young lady working at the front desk needs some serious retraining. Many of the issues were because she seemed oblivious to the workings of the hotel (such as not knowing how to operate the safe, real difficulties with language, and charging our credit card three times for an additional 300 dollars without knowing how to refund it). Luckily all of these issues were addressed appropriately, and I’m thankful to the manager who handled them swiftly. With a few adjustments, this can be a great place.

I wasn't expecting this hotel to be as nice as it was for how cheap it is! I loved it. The room was huge, bright and clean. The bathroom was very nice as well. The staff was so helpful- they helped me plan where I should go, the best times to see certain attractions, and how best to get around (they rented a motorbike to me and made sure I knew how to use it). They also gave good restaurant recommendations and provided a quick laundry service. The location is nice- between the small "city" area and the natural attractions, but you definitely need to rent a motorbike or car to get around (although I think this is true for most places in this area).

The hotel room is very nice, I was in room 402 which had two large beds, but the duvet was one of those with no changeable bedsheet, so basically a blanket. I find that very unhygienic.
The staff are friendly, actually almost overfriendly.
The location is not very good. It is about 30 minutes walk from the city center. They do rent out bikes for 50k per day. It is located about 8km from Tam Coc.
Breakfast is not included, eventhough it says so in the menu (see attached picture).
They turn the power off in the room, when you leave the hotel. They can control the power from the reception.
In April, they still had a christmas tree in the lobby - very contemporary!

We stayed here for a few nights and absolutely loved it! The room was spacious, clean and modern with very comfortable beds great A/C and a flat-screen smart TV (Netflix and all!). The balcony was wonderful to relax and read a book, and the free breakfast included in our room rate was perfect!

The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel does have a menu if you want to order food from their restaurant, and there are pedal bicycles for 50 000 VND/day per bike (which were perfect to explore Ninh Binh and its surrounding areas as the streets were mostly flat and paved).

The hotel is located out of the main area of town, which was ideal for us as it's very quiet. There are a few local restaurants located within 5 mins walk with delicious local food.

I would absolutely consider staying here again, I would, however, follow the advice of previous reviews and avoid purchasing any tickets for traveling out of town through them as we did encounter some trouble (but after a conversation with staff they did fix the issue for us, just not sure if that would always happen).

Stayed three nights last week.

The hotel is located to the north of Ninh Binh town in a quiet side street, just off the start of the Trang An highway. There are are a number of cafes and a supermarket nearby and it’s about a 15 minute walk to the centre of town. There’s a taxi rank just around the corner too.

Rooms were spacious, modern, clean and the WiFi was good. Only two rooms per floor so no problems with noise. Limited choice for breakfast but it was ok.

You can rent a bicycle from the hotel for 50000VND per day and its an easy ride to the likes of Mau Caves, Trang An boat tours, etc. You can hire mopeds too and I believe they were 150000VND per day. Laundry service was quick and a reasonable 40000VND per kilo.

Staff speak enough English and were friendly and helpful.

I would stay again.
