We immediately felt at home as soon as we arrive at Grandma's Home. We were greeted warmly by Fa and her daughter at Grandma's Home. Free coffee, tea and water provided at her place! We felt as if we were visiting a relative at Grandma's Home. Fa's daughter was really cute and she was really excited seeing so many guests at her place! The breakfast provided at Grandma's Home was wonderful! We had some vegetables fritters and vegetarian egg noodles for breakfast. Fa even packed the noodles for us as we had to depart to the bus station early. You'll have a taste of life of a local here at Grandma's Home - The rooms were traditional rooms with mattress on the floor + a mosquito netting. Toilets were the traditional squat toilets as well. Hot water is available though (Love the high water pressure!). Despite so, our stay was really comfortable! The rooms and toilets were really clean! Grandma's Home is about 10 minutes walk to the Mon Bridge, 20 minutes walk to town. We wished we could stay longer at Grandma's Place! Fa even lend us her bike to get to the bus station which was really sweet of her. Our only negative experience was that we were given a private double room and charged a private double room price (650 Baht), instead of the two single room price (200 Baht * 2 = 400 Baht). We booked two single room but were given a private double room instead, and charged a double room price. We would really appreciate it if we were told in advance about the price difference. But nevertheless, we had a very enjoyable stay at Grandma's Home!
