relaxing holiday in peaceful atmosphere surrounding by different birds singing and nature. Very nice staff! I want to go back some day, definitely stress went away. We were staying economy/standard rooms and they were clean and nice. In our room we had little visitors from the jungle but it didnt bother us :) (frog, little lizards etc) breakfast was nice and the pool area too!

Beautiful atmosphere. Stuff is totally friendly. Breakfast tastes very good. Rooms are clean and everything you need is insight. It is quiet and if you like you can go to the bar an have a nice evening. Activities can be planed with the stuff and you can rent a Motorbike. All in all it was perfect for us.

If you are looking for the quiet place to stay, i would recommend this place !! Quiet, green, nature and chill side for people who need to get away from crowded. They have many types of the room. We got private pool villa that facing to lake. The room is large and high ceiling and mirror. Make room more beautiful when taking pictures. They have their own restaurant and bar with good environment. Good for family and couple that need relaxation. They can prepare bike for rent for customers as well. Will be back again.

There were lots of things that I liked about the place. The design of the place was well integrated with nature and exuded certain rustic charm with it. The deluxe room was spacious and came with an outdoor jaccuzzi. I had curtains open all day long to let in light and found no problem with privacy. The small pool was around 1.4m deep and good for doing a few laps. Had good time lying on lounging chair. Contrary to some reviewers' report I found the breakfast very filling, although it would be better if things like thai noodles could be offered as an alternative to egg varieties. The pancake was nice! Had dinner one night and it was very good Thai food, considered it's low season and everything was prepared by a single lady (?In). She was super nice and friendly, and was so happy I decided to dine in. Bottled water was replenished, room serviced and towels changed daily. Linens and towels felt clean. Reception lady (?Pu) gave helpful hints about the island. I wouldn't expect people to speak good English on such an island. Their smiles, friendly gestures more than made up for the language barrier. However, the interior furnishing was not commensurate with the class of the place. Bathroom fittings were not up to standard. The tap of the sink felt flimsy. Shower was at best lukewarm if rainshower was used instead of another wall shower head which was installed way too low for average person. Flooring of the room was done with plastic tiles imitating wood. Clear mold and dust was notable in places difficult to reach such as the outlet of air-conditioning. That's quite off-putting. There should be an indoor portion in the common area to block out all those swarms of insects falling into food when one is dining after rain. I had a hard time picking out those few that decided to dive into my plates. I might have swallowed a few despite my effort.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at The Awana Villa, over XMAS and it was the highlight of our trip! We nearly didn’t book this place because there weren’t many reviews, but this is only because they have just opened, we are so glad we did! The resort is family run, they are so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. There is a free shuttle from the port to the resort, when we offered a tip they refused it which was a really lovely touch as in other places you feel you have to tip everywhere. If your looking for somewhere a little different, this is the place! The accommodation is lovely and clean and the surroundings are beautiful. It’s quiet, but so is the whole island. You can hirer their mopeds for 250 Bacht a day (£5) to explore the island or they offer free bike rental. When we go back to Thailand we will definitely be staying here again!
