The resort hosts were very accommodating and hospitable. The resort is new and so all furnishings are in excellent condition. The grounds and very tastefully decorated and landscaped. The rooms also are very well decorated, comfortable and clean. The resort is located in a great spot because it is right in the backdrop of the mountains, away from the crowded main street area, but not too far if that is your thing. Our thing is quiet, and we were rewarded by chancing upon this property. I would like to say that this place is luxurious without pretension and the high price tag. This is unique in Thailand, because many properties that try to sell luxury are exorbitantly expensive and most times they miss the mark.

A rustic Hotel, 14 air-conditioned huts located around a central pool.
We found the hotel lovely, staff lovely, pool was lovely, really high quality bedding, mosquito nets in very good condition. The cleaning team were spot on and cleaned the hut to a very high standard,

The hotel was very quiet when we stayed and there were only two other people staying at the same time.

The Hotel is a little way out of town but we had a vehicle and found this no problem, in the evening we used the free shuttle service into town which was great fun and very prompt. Getting driven around in a stretched golf buggy was really fun :-)

Breakfast was very good and was served very promptly with something for everyone,

Considering how Pai has changed over the last few years and has become a lot more hectic within Pai city this hotel is a really good option for a family stay.

There is a comment on trip advisor regarding the noise from next doors "after party's", The music actually comes from a small waterpark located next door and we did not find this intrusive or overbearing in anyway. I could not hear the music when in our room and the sound system has very little sub base.

Also Don't forget that when in Thailand you are on Thai time, things take a little while longer and people inc staff are a little more laid-back.
that's why we come here again and again :-)

The hotel also employs local people, when in Thailand (or any other country) do not expect all of the employees to speak English. Perhaps learn a little bit of the language, enough to get your by?

Thai people are lovely and you can always find a way to communicate :-)

We stayed 3 nights in a double villa room. The resort is made up of individual chalets (there are a couple of 2 bedroom ones as well) set in nice gardens with a pool in the centre. The rooms have a decent bathroom, kettle with tea and coffee provided and a fridge and a tv. The breakfast was simple but adequate, fresh fruit, toast, eggs sausages, salad etc with juice, tea and coffee. The resort is a little out of the main town but this is not an issue, we walked in once during the day and every evening the owner dropped us into town and picked us up again at a time to suit us. We also walked to the Chinese village from the resort which takes you past the temple as well. A nice peaceful resort but close to all the restaurants and shops, well worth a stay.

There was only one employee who could speak english, but she was never there, there was a note at the reception with a number you can call when nobody is there. But, we called many many times but nobody picked up. We asked a cleaning lady to call but still no one picked up. The last day The lady from the reception would bring us to the busstation, but again, nobody was there and she never showed up. Also, the cleaning ladies are kind but can not clean. We stayedhere for 5 days and even when we did put up the sign to clean, they did not. We asked again and again and they finally cleaned, but one day the towels were finished (how, we were almost the only ones), and our door was left open, unlocked!! What we find was the most dissatisfying, was the unfriendliness of the staff. The lady from the reception could only yell to us: pay now, pay more!!! And last but not least: the waterpark exactly next to Shimbave throws an afterparty every single day, starting from 10 pm. Asking if they could minimalize the bass (the volume was not the problem, the bass was the most annoying), did not help a bit. Conclusively, though the bungalow was new and okay, we left very dissapointed because of the rude staff and loud music and whe would not reccommend this resort to anyone.

We stayed here over the weekend and except from the beds which where a little small for a big person like me it was a pleasant stay. Staff is very helpful and friendly, sometimes feel sorry for them as the team there is very small. The girl behind the reception is also doing ABF, drive the guest to town, checks in and out, etc., etc..

The restaurant was only open with ABF and for lunch and/ or dinner or a snack you need to get into town.....a clear disadvantage if you want to have a lazy day around the pool.

For the rest it's a nice and clean place....

This is a very good and quite resort in the country side 10 minutes from Pai center (using hotel shuttle - old style looking electrical vehicle). The place is new and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our family Villa were comfort and clean and equipped with smart TV. We had small private pool and in addition we used the main pool which can be used all day long (which is great advantage). They supply shuttle service to/from central Pai. The breakfast is little bit modest and you don't have lot of choices .
Bottom line - great place for people and families that wish to stay in quite and nice place in Pai.

100 stars, great hotel. Rent a scooter from the front desk for your entire stay (they deliver and only costs a few hundred baht p day). Then you can explore all the sights on your own without being stuck to a tour guide schedule.

Nice and clean resort with kind staff. You can easily ask the staff for a free drive to town or they can help you rent a motorbike. The breakfast wasn't that impressive but nevermind. This place is suitable for family's.
