I have stayed twice in this place, loved the garden and being close to the river, but on my last visit a few days ago, I was appalled about the owner rudeness. I only asked to look the bungalow he assigned me before paying ,and he throw a fit, saying why I want to see it??? I do understand that business is slower, due to the smoke in the air ( country side being burnt) and the coronavirus, but hospitality is expected to a regular customer and not rudeness. He doesn't understand about this.

The hut was rustic, but affordable. It was very centrally located and the staff were so kind and helpful. The bed and pillow were very uncomfortable. The noise from the street is quite loud so either join the party or bring ear plugs. The river view is quaint and peaceful and the entire property is setup very cute.

at first,we just wanted to stay here for only 1 night, but we found that it was not bad to stay here,it's convenient to go anywhere,we slept well here,at least there were no mosquitoes, that was very important to me,though it was not warm enough to tuck in the blanket, and the most important to me is,the people here are so friendly,we made the first group of Thai friends here,i think when i go to pai again, here must be my first choice to saty.

We found this place by chance after travelling to pai for a few days from Chiang Mai.

The cabins vary from 500baht up to 600baht (about 8.50gbp), the best thing is that they all have free internet access!! The only difference between the more expensive cabins and the cheaper ones is that you are located on the river which offers a better view.

Nice staff, clean cabin and hot showers make this place good value for money.

The only problem while we were there was the threat of sudden power cuts (this affects the whole town) but the new power line they seem to be building should fix this in the future!

We have ordered 5 nights at villa de pai, after 3 night we ran away from there!
Our bed was full of bed bugs, both of us got stung almost everywhere and the owner didn't want to refund us for the following days
Attaching a photo of one of our last night friends found under the sheets
Avoid staying there!

We payed 500 baht for our bungalow here and enjoyed our stay. The place is in a great location, only a short walk to the walking street and great restaurants and bars right off the driveway. The bungalows are comfortable, set back from the main road and very quite. Decent wifi, friendly staff. The decks with hammock are a nice touch. Excellent value, and again, can't beat the location.

When my wife and I arrived at "Villa De Pai", we were handed a key and told to go find our cabin. After wandering around in the dark for a while we found the room and started to settle in. first stop was the bathroom - It Was NOT clean (someone made a bit of a mess in the toilet). Reluctantly, we were given another room. Staff was neither friendly nor helpful. They provide you with pretty much NOTHING (Not even towels). Also - your room will only be cleaned upon request which of you are not told while checking in (nor is it posted ANYWHERE !). WIFI was not so great. Location though, was admittedly good but I'm positive there are MUCH better places nearby to stay than this dump. BTW - the "river view" would be much improved if they stopped throwing their trash over the bank into it !

Pai was a lovely place, this resort is ideally located along the heart of Pai, the Pai walking street. Just minutes away from the bus station, cafes, and lots of bar and pubs. It is also near the Pai river with stunning views.
Amenities were basic but the staff were really helpful and nice. They even let us view the rooms before checking in. The prices for a bungalow start from 500THB/night, dorms at 120THB/night. Really affordable and nice.
We stayed in the basic bungalow, no aircon, no fridge whatsoever. It was so cold that we didn't even need to switch the fans on. Toilets were clean and there was even a small balcony with a hammock!

For 350 baht, I would definitely stay here again. Lovely little wooden bungalows with private veranda and outside hammock, set off the main road which meant it was quiet. Also, loved the setting in amongst the trees and garden. The staff were friendly, yeah the bathroom wasn't top notch but was large, clean enough, private and had a hot shower. All 4 of us, plus 3 other travellers we met were very happy with our stay here.

Vila de Pai offers nice bungalows in a quiet setting but still within the center of Pai. The property sits along the river with beautiful, lush landscaping, making this guest house feel higher end than the price would suggest. The bungalows are not fancy but a bit more than basic and the management is friendly...best of all, there are hammocks on the verandas. There are plenty of restaurants and bars as neighbors but the music you might hear at night is just that, and not "noise". It's really a great place and I look forward to visiting again sometime.
