Travellers' Choice
“Reverie Siam is a concept Resort inspired by the cultural fusion that occurred in the early part of the 20th century. Circa 1925, The Great War has been over for nearly a decade. Prohibition in the States has given birth to Speakeasies with musicians such as Bessie Smith, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong providing the soundtrack. New advances in transportation allow those hungry for adventure and wealth to try their luck in new Lands, in our case Southeast Asian Lands. For those fortunate enough to be successful an easy decadent existence follows. The fashions and trends they import with them merge into the local cultures and an intoxicating blend ensues. We celebrate this blend, choosing to remember as if by the dreams of those who might have participated long ago, in those heady days of romance, adventure and elegance. ”

It was a short time during the weekend but we had a wonderful experience at Reverie Siam Resort. We love all the properties, the room, the pool, the restaurant, the food and especially the spectacular view!! A huge thanks to all the staff and management for their very kind and gave us a good service. They were friendly, always smile and greatly helpful when we were asking about the places to visit and I was surprised by the previous review which seemed strange considering the staff gave our group who are all Asian an excellent service! We would definitely recommend and choose to stay here again next time when we are in Pai.

The room was nice. The atmosphere reminds me of my earlier stay at an inn in old bangkok. The pool was also great. One major flaw however is that the manager and the staff were not that friendly to me and my friend. It seems like they were quite racist toward Asian guests in general, and in comparison to other foreigner guest (white). For example, when a new family of European guests arrives, they would make small takes, smile, and greet them very nicely. However, when we checked in, they just asked for our names and gave us our keys. Hope they can change their attitude and treat everyone equally.

Dear Khun PakkapolIam We are sincerely sorry that during your stay with us our service fell below our usual standard. Please accept my word as co-founder and co-owner that our team has been handpicked by myself and my wife, who is Thai, to ensure that we have a strict policy of equality for race, religion, gender and sexual orientation. The past 2 years have been incredibly challenging for us, we have been forcibly closed due to government regulations on several occasions and we have spent many months without any guests at all, as a consequence of this our staff number was below that with which we normally operate, however, with the Thai law relaxing tourism regulations just last month we have received a sudden influx of guests and when you arrived we had not yet had time to recruit and train back to our normal operating levels. I can assure you that any lack of service you received would have been a consequence of understaffing and nothing to do with race. It is possible that if you spoke Thai to our staff they have (falsely) assumed you needed less assistance and prioritised non Thai speakers who maybe don’t speak much English either and had difficulty communicating. This is of course unacceptable but perhaps the reason you were made to feel less important. We receive guests from all over the world however Asian guests make up the majority and we endeavour to treat every single one as a member of our own family. I sincerely appeal to your generosity by asking you to consider removing the racist accusation from your review since this is purely speculative and is deeply hurtful to us as we have always championed equality in all aspects of our business operation. Previous guests will attest to the fact that some of our most important staff have come from China, Philippines and other Asian countries as well as Europe and America, we have done this with the specific intention of better developing our understanding of all cultures and races. For the criticism of our poor service we regretfully accept your comments and promise to improve now that we have hired a full body of staff again. I do hope you will try us again in the future and compare your experience, I am confident you will receive an entirely more satisfactory experience. Please do reach out to me on seb@reveriesiam.com I would love to learn more about your specific experience and investigate further and get the chance to apologise personally.

Outstanding beauty balance between nature and antique, rustic, vintage decor. One of the most beautiful places I’ve been - a real Alice in Wonderland-type getaway from the manicured hedges, stone pools, work areas by the river, staff and food to match!

Had an amazing stay here. The hotel was very quiet and very few guests due to COVID but they are operating as normal with all the facilities. We arrived very late and the check-in was super quick and staff were really helpful. The hotel decoration was amazing and make you feel like you are somewhere in Europe. The room was very cosy and very rustic look. The bathroom was huge with a fantastic rain shower. The beds were very comfortable and had a good night’s sleep after a long drive. We had dinner in the restaurant on site and we were the only ones that night for dinner. The staff that was managing the restaurant was very helpful and the service was fantastic. The food quality was great and arrived very quick. The lounge area is perfect for just relaxing and doing nothing. The breakfast was great too and they bring complimentary scones, toast, pastries and fruit on top of what you order so make sure you have space! Overall a fantastic stay in Pai and very happy to have found this hidden gem. Will certainly return to this hotel if we ever go back to Pai. Too bad that there are not many guests for great places like this due to COVID. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Pai to stay here.
