The places recommended by Lonely Planet were all full when I arrived. Therefore, I decided to walk along the opposite side of the river to look for a place to sleep. The first place I saw wanted to charge 500baht for a shabby bungalow, with mattress on the floor (no bed!). The next place I went was left with a 100baht concrete tent that was too claustrophobic to my liking. I ended up in Pai Park Cottage, which seemed to be relatively new.

The sisters running the place were very chirpy and spoke good English. I was first shown a non-aircon bungalow which was about 500 baht, and was in much better conditions than the first place I went. When I was shown the aircon bungalow, I was charmed. It was slightly expensive for Thai standard, at about 750baht. However, the room was clean and spacious, and the bathroom was huge! I was also pleasantly surprised to see a fridge in the room. All the aircon rooms face the river with very nice views especially during sunset.

I ended up staying for 3 nights here. But if I had time, I would be able to easily spend a week here just chilling out.

We stayed for three nights in the slightly more expensive bungalows at Pai Park Cottage, costing 400 TBH per night which was really good value (chose not to have A/C just fan which was fine).
The place is less than 5 minutes walk from the walking street but it's nice and quiet. You cross their very own adventurous bamboo bridge to the other side of the river. The staff are really friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. We loved our spacious, well-appointed and nicely furnished cottage. The bed was super-comfy and the sunken bathroom had big windows (facing a big wall so no worries about people looking in). We were sad to leave as we felt totally at home in our bungalow. The veranda was spacious and secluded and great for watching sunsets.
The only negatives were that it was hard to regulate the shower temperature and the windows in the bathroom could have been a lot cleaner to add to the 'outsidey' feel.
Either way, we'd definitely stay again. Would give it 4 and a half points.

I have just stayed at Pai Park one night, due to my limit schedule. The bungalow is big and cozy, the view is so nature feeling and peaceful, the location is also easy to reach and getting around. But the wifi is just available in the reception.

What can I say. Yo and Ying, the sisters that run Pai Park, are great! Not to mention their mother is an amazing cook. No thrills bungalows and basic bathrooms, but I was only in my room to sleep. Pai is a lot of fun and the sisters gave me good advice on where to go and what to see. Far enough from town to enjoy nature, but close enough to walk to get a quick bite to eat. The gazebo with hammocks was a nice place to chat with other travelers and swap stories. I will definitely comeback to Pai Park when I visit Thailand again. Thank guys.

Beautiful riverside location, stunning tropical gardens, attract a huge variety of butterflies, watch the morning mist rolling down the river..... Yo and Ying made us feel very welcome, bamboo huts, and 5 star luxury cabins, with air-con, tv , bath tub, great service, very affordable, and peaceful and quiet, away from town.

I loved staying here! The family who run it are very sweet and welcoming. The bungalow was simple Thai style and super cheap as it was low season.
We opened our door to the river and mountains. You cannot beat the location and I enjoyed the walk over the 'Indiana Jones' style bridge everyday.
A wonderful place to stay to experience the old style quiet Pai!!

I should start this saying that I spent a month and a half just because I couldn't leave the place. The main reason was because I loved my bungalow too much.

Well, lets go for the descriptions. Its located a 5 minutes walk from the walking street, on the other side of the river. The bungalow is very well made with a nice confy mattress with silk linens and a huge bathroom with a bathtub. The terrace was always my favorite place: Big, 2 chairs and a table and last but not least: a place to watch stunning Pai sunsets.

One lil cons is that the water smells a bit, but I guess this is all over Pai.

The hostel is in a beautiful and calm
place by the lake. The owner is adorable. I slept in a nice double room, with bathroom and shower in a good condition. The room was really clean. I highly recommend this hostel for the people who want to enjoy the quiet.

I have stayed here many times. Lin is a gem, so nice and helpful. The location is amazing, peaceful on the Pai River, rice fields out back, yet just an easy five minute stroll to the Walking Street. Every kind of accommodation from 100 baht crash hut to spacious modern bungalows with A/C, refrigerator and TV and in between fan bungalows. Everyone can stay here. I have a few places in the world which are home away from home. This is one if them.

We had a terrible experience at this hostel. First of all the location isnt very convinient about 15 mins walk from the night market , you have to pass a dark alley with no
Lights and a wobbly bridge. Second of all its way over priced. The rooms are not clean or renovated in any way, and the price is about twice more then any guesthouse in pai which looks exactly the same. The staff is rude they barley supply toilet paper. The biggest issue of the place is the manager, we arrived and she immediately sold us the most expensive room, we agreed she said it was 850 per night and that we could pay when checking out. When we arrived to check out suddenly the price was 1000 per night,we politely told her thats not the price she had given us. She immediately started screaming and trying to hit us and throwing things. Anyways very unpleasant, don’t recommend.
