Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in January 2022. We stayed in 2 different rooms, the fist room we got it was very cold in the night and the water in the shower was not warm. The second room was much better, it didn't get so cold in the night and it had hot water in the shower. :)
The staff doesn't speak English a bit challenging check in.
On the plus side, good location, walking distance to the center, nice pool and cozy restaurant by the pool. The restaurant doesn't serve drinks.
Over all a god stay :) value for the money.

The owner and the staff are very kind and helpful. The resort with the nice garden situated 1.5 km from the walking street is very peaceful even in the time of festivals. Big clean swimmingpool and terrase, coffeebar, good fruit juices, the Coffee Pi Ju in the same garden with very good cakes. The houses and rooms are big and comfortable.

We went to Pai in January, the weather was very good. The hotel is near the city, convenient to travel around Pai. The owner of the hotel is very nice, takes good care of us and is so friendly. The rooms are clean, there is a very large swimming pool. The view from the place is stunning, overlooking the mountains. Here is very suitable for vacation for a week. The good hotel where I would like to go back to.

The hotel seems to be run by 3 smiling teenagers who can hardly put a sentence together in English which makes it rather hard to communicate. The first room we were offered was awful - just as plain as can be. After much cajoling, they put us in another room which was slightly better. Not great hot water. No housekeeping service. You have to ask for new towels. The restaurant is sort of a mystery. Limited menu. The pool and views are nice. Its a walk into town and not a very nice one. There are surely better options in Pai.

We only needed accommodation in Pai for two nights while we explored the region, and to be honest, our requirements were pretty simple: a bed, breakfast, a pool, and air-con. This place provided all that and then some, for a measly $17AUD a night for two! How is it even possible to complain about that? The pool is enormous and offers amazing views over the valley, but looks like it is used by locals as well as guests of the 'resort'. The rooms are nothing particularly special, but again, for the price, we weren't expecting 5 star. The bed was comfortable, the room was wonderfully cool, the towels were good, there is hot water in the showers, and there's even a mini-fridge. Breakfast is served by the pool, and was plentiful. To be fair, it is geared more towards the Thai diet (those that have stayed in "Westernised" hotels are probably more used to bacon and eggs, etc.), but I see nothing wrong in embracing the food of the country I'm staying in (I mean what's the point of being on holiday otherwise?). Pai is a small rural town in a fairly remote area of northern Thailand, and the predominantly Thai food, and poorer English skills I think are to be expected given these circumstances - nothing an open mind, and a good 2-way phrase book can't fix :)
The resort is on the outskirts of town, and those without private transport will find themselves facing a fair walk into the city centre (but how did you get here in the first place one wonders?). Hiring a car (or heaven forbid, a motorbike) is cheap, and means you can more easily explore the surrounding villages, waterfalls, and hot springs.
For the price I would definitely stay here again, and could easily recommend it to others provided your needs aren't particularly demanding.

Just came back from a 3 night's stay there and I am still impressed and so happy to stay at this grea place.
Located a bit outside of Pai itself, the resort offers a fantastic view thru the surroundings as well the mountains.
Rooms are pretty, original in their decoration and different from each other. A large swimming pool is available and give you a good break after a full day visit of Pai in motorbike.
Gardens are simply gorgeous with several plants as well flowers including roses...
Staff is extremely polite, in particularly K. Boom in charge of the resort, kind of manager to come to greet you in person at breakfast and thru the day. Quite rare nowadays to find such a lovely and nice person...
All the areas are clean and well maintained.
Food is greeat and yummy, especially breakfast where local and international dishes are served to you at your table directly with a smilly staff.
In conclusion, a lovely place to stay where you can feel back the kindness of Thai people as we love so much.
We will be back to this hidden gem for sure!
Bravo and congretulations for the well job done!

The pool was nice, staff was very nice and the rooms and property are nice ... However, we were on a ground floor room across from the pool and it was very noisy from 730am. Also, the upstairs neighbors sounded as if they were stomping when they walked.

We got here to relax and explore the surroundings of Pai by scooter, that both worked out really well. The hotel staff is really friendly. The rooms are clean and well kept. Downside is that the drain of the shower could be really smelly, the smell however never bothered us in the room. The hotel has a big, well kept pool, downside is that the water is really cold (we were there in high season). Also, there are no cushions on the wooden beds next to the pool, so lying there for a few hours can get a bit sore...
The hotel offers free rides to and from the centre of Pai, which is great considering it being a 25 min walk to the centre.
We would absolutely recommend this place, despite the few downsides we would definitely stay here again! When you decide to stay here, make sure you book the 'sweetie' room, which is really beautiful and big!

Kung Kang is 1.4 km out of town and it sits on a nice piece of land. There are ponds, rose gardens, windmills, chili gardens and a huge, funky sort of concrete mish-mash of a swimming pool with a nice sun deck and some slightly tired recliners.

Check in was smooth and very friendly. I think the managers name is Afaa, and the driver of the shuttle is Kai, I believe. Both are very cool and absolutely looking to make your stay a pleasant one.

The rooms are spacious and chock a block full of kitschy knick knacks. I had a friend who had a bit of a Lladro (porcelain figures) addiction and when I checked into Sweetie 101 it was like I had stepped back in time. I had a porcelain ballerina, Charlie Chaplin as the Tramp and two post modern chickens... But the room was huge, the bed was moderately soft and very comfortable and the bathroom was relatively clean, but I had to turn the shower pressure down to 1/3 in order to get the temp of the water to lukewarm, at full flow the water was cold as a grave diggers heart.

The room had a fridge and the AC was adjustable so the temps were just right.

Breakfast was buffet style and there was a decent variety of foods. I couldn't find brewed coffee, just instant, but the tea was ok. Nice assortment of fruit. A very vocal, slightly belligerent little cat seemed to add a touch of home to the scene.

Not your typical resort, but charming in its own way. And the people that run it are very cool.
