I really suggest this place if you want to stay for some days into the wild. The bungalow was amazing with a big balcony where you can enjoy the wonderful landscape, big room and clean, big bathroom, everything was perfect. Mary Rose and her husband are very nice people, they prepared everyday a delicious homemade breakfast (so good!!) and you can eat with a beautiful ocean view (shark bay). Thanks for everything I hope we will come bp0ack soon.

We loved it here despite the fact it poured with rain the whole time! If you're looking for luxury, mod cons and convenience to hot spots this is not for you. If you want to live as one with the life and sounds of the jungle and feel cut off and at peace, this is your place! The small resort is located up a mountain. Getting there is a challenge both on foot or by motorcycle so be prepared for this. But it's so well worth it! The bungalows are traditional Thai style with open sides where the walls meet the roof. So expect visitors in the night. Mostly just geckos! Though we also had a squirrel friend! The bathroom is open air. The views from the balcony are truly beautiful. The hosts are more than accommodating, friendly and honest. Nothing is too much, we truly enjoyed their company and their respect for the land and environment they live on. They provide a super cheap mini bar and refill everyday. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

During our whole trip through Thailand we slept in so many basic accomodations. This resort should be something special but it turned to be the place where we felt the most uncomfortable! The owners are horrible. Unfriendly and disrespectful. The woman seems like she hates the guests, we felt so uncomfortable to talk to her. The man has many humor fluctuations. One time he appears like the most chilled and friendly guy and 10min later he turns to be very unfriendly. Furthermore they didn't care about our individual needs. We didn't want to run over their path since the first day of our 6-day-stay. It was no problem for us that the bungalows are not completely closed, but during our first night a gecko shited in our bed. The next day we asked the owner to change our sheet and he did it just reluctantly with the comment that he won't change it a second time. He also said to us that it was our fault. Just one example... If we didn't pay in advance , we would have left the resort after the first night. And usually we would never be the kind of persons who do this because we don't have high claims. The location is very bad. There are two beaches around the resort. Sai deng beach is completely build-up and the long walk is not worth it. The shark bay has a very beautiful beach but the whole area belongs to the haad tien resort and for entering you have to pay a fee of 100THB. Near the resort is a motorbike rental, it's the most expensive in whole Koh Tao, but you have to rent there because otherwise you would have to walk the mountain up to the hotel.. We also booked the resort because we thought it would be quiet. That was not true, we heard loud music the whole night one night. Even if the place is nice, we would never come back.

It is really not so easy to get there up the hills- we got help from liam- the best driver you can imagine. A wonderful place to live- we learned a lot from rose and libor about ecofriendliness and there deep sense for nature. We had brilliant breakfasts and one time an excellent dinner. Thank you so much you two for all you gave to us- especially the good infos. "When you go for a snorkel go to Ao Leuk"... Best regards from Andrea and Klaus- Vienna

Firstly, our overall experience at Bohemia was pleasant, and we enjoyed our stay. Libor was friendly, and helpful with any questions we had about the island, and he made our stay more comfortable. The bungalows are clean & comfortable, and are nice places to be during both the day and night. However, the bungalows are quite remote, which isn't fully explained in the summary of the resort. The taxi wanted to charge 500baht, so we decided to walk as it was only 2 miles from the port. However, this isn't a normal walk and there are lots of elevation changes. Bike hire is not possible for everyone including ourselves, so the remote location of the resort should be more expressed. Although the resort provides breakfast (which is nice, and reasonably priced), there is no option for dinner, so you must always walk down from the mountain to the beach for any food. The above issues means that Bohemia isn't as relaxing as it suggests, as movement to and from the resort is quite difficult. The resort is nice and would get a 5 star rating, but the remote location needs to be considered when booking. Unfortunately for us, this results in the overall rating of 3 Stars.

Without a doubt has the most beautiful view of south Ko Tao, the hosts are wonderful, their knowledge of the island and ability to advise any query you may have makes getting the most out of the island so much more feasible. The bungalows are so quaint and situated in an area where multiple beaches and restaurants are within walking distance, highly recommended and we will certainly be returning to Bohemia Resort

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights and we could have stayed longer. The bungalows are gorgeous and even more beautiful is the view!! Rose and Libor were great hosts and gave us lots of tips, lent us snorkels, and made us feel at home. We had breakfast every morning, which was the best we had in Thailand and the mini bar is stocked with cheap beer. The only negative is the road getting up there, we rented a powerful motorbike so it wasn't a big problem. From what we saw on Koh Tao all of the best places are diffiucult to get to (best beaches, best view points, best bungalows) so if you want paradise it's worth it to travel a few hard roads!

Bohemia Resort is located on the south end of the island and is a stunning tranquil place. As soon as you step onto your bungalow deck to see the beautiful ocean view, you are revived after the journey up the hill. It is quiet and serene, perfect for relaxation, reading and renewal. Libor and Marie-Rose, our hosts, were effusive, generous with information, helpful, warm and friendly. They prioritise their local environment, recycling and taking care of the island. They are clearly trying to establish the balance between tourism and ecological responsibility. The rooms are clean and beautiful with everything you need, and a very reasonably priced mini-bar. Bohemia Resort offers a rare treat as you are well away from the well-worn tourist track. The islands in Thailand are very busy. It is a relief to arrive back at Bohemia after visiting the bays and beaches, or snorkling and diving with many other tourists. The stillness is calming and soothing. It is an amazing location, and although the remoteness makes Bohemia so special, be prepared for a long walk up the hill or the expensive taxi rides to get there. We hired a scooter for our five nights in Koh Tao. The road up to the resort was very steep in places, so take care. There aren't many options eating nearby. We went to the main street on the south end of the island for the evenings and traveling back at night on the bike was an easy trip.
