Our resort is located in Chalok Baan Khao just 5 minutes drive from the Mae Haad piers. The resort is conveniently just a 2 minute walk away from local amenities such as a supermarket, restaurants, cafes, ATM's, dive shops, clothes shops etc. The nearest beach Chalok Bay is just 5 minutes walk from the resort, where guests will find idyllic beach front cafes, restaurants, kayaking and snorkelling.

Possibly the quietest resort I've stayed in. There's no through traffic so Woodlawn is secure too. We stayed in a villa and found this to be ideal for us. A small kitchen allowed for the occasional meal and all breakfast. Local amenities are great and most things are within a 10min walk. Don't bring tons of clothes. Laundry services at the end of the lane charge 50bht per kilo. All washed, pressed and bagged up. Super friendly service. Good restaurants near are French ko (5 mins), Tropicana and Big Fish2 (by the beach 10mins). Big Fish2 has a tiny, clean, kitchen with only one person touching the food. We found this setup worked for us. BF2 has clean toilets too. Be careful on the scooters. Lucy, the resort dog, will check you in when you return from your adventures. Slow down, stop. Put one hand down for a sniff, lick and you're free to proceed.

I had an excellent stay at Woodlawn Lawn Villas, it was just as advertised and more. Friendly and helpful staff. The resort is in a good location within a short walk to local shops and beach, or scooter ride to the pier and alternative beaches. Koh Tao is only a small island so anywhere is only a short scooter ride away. Wood Lawn Villas rent scooter for 200 bhat which is very reasonable. I would highly recommend 😎

Calm, fresh and tasteful resort located in the jungle, view of palm trees and greenery from the room, so nice! Fresh pool area. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Nice balcony! A few minutes walk to the restaurants on the main street and a few more minutes to the nearest beach. Extremely good value for money, would happily return. We stayed in the "simplest" room, a block of 12 apartments, on the top floor. Nicer view there than on the lower floor I think, you could see the palm trees from the bed! There were other types of accommodations also at the resort that cost more. The pool area is great!

My last stay in this beautiful resort was over five years ago. I was very happy to see that the same quality service and meticulous management have not changed a bit. The room was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and everything is a short walk away. The grounds are well kept, and at night, when everything is quiet around, you can really enjoy being surrounded by nature. While the beach is a short walk away, there is also a lovely swimming pool, which I found to be very relaxing in the afternoons.

We paid £16 a night to stay here and it was great value for money . Basic room with small balcony and a lovely pool. Good air con and quiet at night - we slept very well. Anything we raised - door and safe- were dealt with very quickly . Some restaurants within walking distance with good food. Great value and would have liked to extend our stay but it was booked up.

The room was spacious and let in lots of licht. However, the cleanliness was not up to basic standards.
The location is a little remote for the ones going diving, yet with a scooter nothing is far away on the island.

We are disappointed to hear you were unsatisfied with the cleanliness. We have spoken to management and no issues were raised by you during your 5 night stay with us. This is unfortunate, as it would have given us the opportunity to rectify any issues you had during your stay. Our housekeeping team work from a checklist for each room to ensure all areas are addressed. (Please note during a guests' stay, we replace their towels and bed linens every other day, not daily, to reduce our impact on the local environment.) The island is small, just 21km2, everywhere is just a few minutes scooter ride away. However, we do have dive shops within walking distance of Woodlawn Villas, which is convenient for those guests that wish to dive during their stay. We wish you safe onward travels and hope to welcome you back to Woodlawn Villas again in the future.

I can't understand some of the bad reviews for this place, the bed was the comfiest l've slept in for weeks, the room was modern, clean and spacious, and the staff were kind. Our ferry to Samui was at 5pm and they accommodated a later checkout, and when a storm started as we were leaving the manager helped me carry 2x heavy bags down to the transfer even though she got soaked! Would 100% stay here again

Spent all 5 days on Koh Tao here, and we were pleased with our decision. A lovely base for navigating a beautiful island, very clean rooms, bathrooms and a lovely pool area. Very friendly owners, chatting to us all about travels, made us feel extremely welcome and that didn't go a miss. Up the road for some beautiful beaches, the attentive staff at reception are there for all things needed, and provide maps of the island as well as bike rental! Picked us up from the port with no problems! Will hopefully stop by again on my return... Thanks Woodlawn Team!

Loves this place so much we booked extra nights on
Room was cleaned and amenities replaced every day, gorgeous resort, big pool, really comfy beds. There are shops and restaurants near by but I would suggest a bike otherwise the walk into Sairee is very long but only 10 mins on a bike! The hotel rent bikes out and it is very reasonably priced. The hotel also offered a transfer to and from the hotel to the port for free. Great stay Thankyou so much we will be back such value for money !!

The best stay in Thailand so far. The woodlawn resort is just beautiful! They provide a quite place with great options of accomodation. From own villas to modern Apartments, they offer a lot with good pricing. The rooms were clean, well mantained and have everything you need. We stayed in two different accomodations, both great! Service was more than five Stars, super friendly and polite, they helped us out whenever we needed something, on the Reception or chatting online, special thanks to the Manager Sunny, who was more than a Manager to us. They made us feel like bringt part of a family. Definitely rent a affordable scooter from the Same resort, easy and fast. You will need it, easy and good distances to everything with the scooter. It was great! Will come again.

We ordered breakfast to the room & it was delicious. We got an English breakfast - sausage, bacon, tomato, 2 eggs, 2 toast and baked beans. With tea and juice. I think it was 180/200 bhat
Hello Gabriela. Chalok Ban Kay Beach is a 10 min walk but right now it's a bit high tide hence limited options to sun bathe. but later in the year there should be enough of the beach exposed for sun bathing. the poolside in this hotel is another good option to work on your tan.
Hello Amanda. the gradients and the steps are quite steep. Ao Leuk is a good option for snorkeling, though nearby San Jao and Thian Og Bay are also snorkeling spots. Do remember that getting to these beaches will require some walking as the bikes cannot go all the way.
There are more places to choose from in the Koh Tao area.
