The view is absurdly amazing! Very lovely and a very nice beach. The bungalow is basic, no airco/tv etc. The food was 'okayish' but the service was terrible. Unfriendly staff and you were made fun of. Location was good for a lot of relaxing! They have wifi in their lobby/restaurant.

We had a sea view bungalow with air con and paid 2700 Baht. The bungalow was run down and not maintained. You don't get a top sheet - Only a bottom sheet. The views were spectacular and you have the choice of two beaches. The one behind the bungalows has trees with lots of shade. Pretty treacherous walking along concrete...

We had the Beach View Bungalow. THE GOOD: The view of Ao Chalok Ban Kao was amazing as was sitting on our balcony for sunset Changs and Padatai street food. The staff was very friendly. THE BAD: The bungalow was rundown run down. Molding falling off the wall. Spider webs in the corners. We had stained sheets (but clean smelling)...

Stayed here for 4 nights. I was in one of the more expensive bungalows as we had AC and a beachfront view. Bungalow was very basic but comfortable enough. When we opened our door in the morning we had the most amazing view or at night for sunset but this was the only amazing thing in my eyes. Staff (especially...

We called in to the restaurant here today for lunch but were sadly disappointed. The girl who greeted us was friendly and showed us to a table with a great view, but things went downhill from there. I ordered a club sandwich and my partner ordered some noodles. The sandwich arrived quickly but was pretty bad for the price -...

Except the beach which is just beautiful, the rest is absolutely miserable and it is not worth the 1800bath. We took the most luxurious cottage thinking have a little fun and it turned out that the room was the oldest, most poorly maintained and most expensive we had up in Thailand. Breakfast uninspiring, the service completely divested. Forgot the cottage...

My partner and I stayed in one of the little wooden bungalows for 4 nights during our stay in Koh Tao. We just needed somewhere cheap to sleep whilst we done a diving course. The bungalow is about 30 - 40 minutes walk into town. We rented mopeds, a cheaper option than taxis. The bungalows are located on a bit...

I can see why some people wouldn't like it, but I loved it. I've read some of the bad reviews here and don't agree. The un-air-conditioned bungalows with beautiful views, basic, quiet and close to the beach are perfect for what we need in accommodation. It's not fancy but it's only slightly more than a cheep hotel near the pier....

While planning my trip to Thailand I wanted to find a more secluded place on the southern part of the island. Taatoh Resort leans on the Freedom Beach, and technically sounded like a perfect place to stay at. The area is indeed beautiful, the beach is small but never full, you can rent a snorkle (100baht a day) and a...

We have been here 8 and 5 years ago... Back then the restaurant, the atmosphere and the food was awesome... Now , only the view is great... The staff is unfriendly, the food is pretty tasteless, and the prices for food went up, the quality unfortunately completely down. We were so eager coming back and we are now completely disappointed...
