When we first arrived the front entrance is still a construction site, very loud! The diving school takes over the pool even though it says wind beach resort pool. They block the walkway with their vehicles. If you don’t put your key in reception your room does not get cleaned (we never got told this) we wanted to upgrade but the mattresses were solid! Staff are friendly and a good place for a sunset. The gym equipment does not work so can not use the facilities. Motorbikes are constantly up and down the walkway to the beach due to the dive school. It could be better and no sun bathing facilities at the beach entrance. Expensive for what it is, the breakfast is always cold!

Low rating as it's in party central and zero mention of the noise levels anywhere. Book a Superior room to get free pumping bass until the E.A.R.L.Y. hours, right in your room. The pharmacy around the corner has you covered with awesome earplugs that even keeps out the magical frog singing.
Breakfast best at the beachfront restaurant IMHO. Both options are really limited.
Basic clean rooms and if I was 20-odd years old again, I'd hit it up again. But not if it was a dive trip where beauty sleep is vital...

Average resort in a great location. I think it’s located in the center of everything you need. The room was clean enough for me. Staffs were friendly enough. I like the food at the restaurant, the price was reasonable and the foods tasted good

Offering a range of rooms and pricing our deluxe double allowed for a very comfortable couple of weeks. The resort is not new but is in good condition, our room came with a comfortable double bed, TV (Netflix) a small fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and daily bottled (glass) water. The bathroom was generous in size and included double basins, a wardrobe & storage, the shower was good and the water was always hot. The resort picked us up and dropped us back to the pier as part of the cost of accommodation. What else did we enjoy, Air conditioning, outdoor table and chairs, pool with a swim up bar, beach front position and access, on site restaurant & bar, on site massage, dive school, good wifi. In the evenings the resort was quiet compared to some yet still close to the centre of the town (Sairee junction across the road from reception). At that junction take the road up the hill 650 metres to find the large supermarket “Smile Mart” for all food requirements, wine, spirits and beer by the case. While heading that way check out “Pork Leg restaurant” a great place for good affordable food and drinks. If your room comes with free breakfast, Morning View up on the main road is your best option. Walking onto the beach and turning right look for the hanging decorations, bean bags and lights of the O’chai beach bar & restaurant a great spot to relax and enjoy the beach, the cool vibe, dinner, a drink and the sunset. The lovely setting of this on beach restaurant and bar will draw you in, the quiet music, good service and great food will keep you coming back.

A GREAT location on the beach for an exceptional price. Two awesome pools open 24/7. Friendly staff and provided excellent excursion services. Our room was basic but bed very comfortable and while many hotels party u til late in the night Wind Beach was close to the party if you wanted to go but was quiet if you needed to rest.

The resort has a range of rooms at reasonable pricing, our deluxe double allowed for a very comfortable 4 week stay. The resort is not new but is in good condition, our room came with air conditioning, a comfortable queen sized bed, TV (Netflix) a small fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and daily bottled (glass) water. The resort collected us and dropped us back to the pier as part of the cost of accommodation as was the daily breakfast. Also worth a mention outdoor furniture, a pool with a swim up bar, beach front access, on site restaurant, on site massage, dive school, good wifi across the property. In the evenings the resort was quieter compared to some yet still close to the centre of the town.

We went there for three nights and not once did they change our towels, garbage, linens, furthermore the pool was all green and the toilet smelled of sewer and the shower head was useless.
The breakfast was terrible but luckily there was a nice restaurant across the road.
Definitely won't come back ever!

If you are 22 and like to party - every night - then this is a good location for you. You do not even have to leave your apartment to hear the music and feel the beat. You get it for free every night whether or not you want it. Over 22, or want to sleep at least one night on your holiday, you are advised to choose a different location.

I was a little worried about staying here after reading the reviews but I had a really good time and didn't hear noise when we was in our room. I had a superior room near the beach. Nice balcony a d swim up bar. You can't get better in location. The only negative was they didn't clean the room once in the 4 days.

We have been coming to wind beach for the last 10 years and love it! the staff are so friendly, hotel in a great location and amazing sunsets and the beach is stunning.
They offer free transfers to and from the pier also.
We stay is the deluxe rooms in the middle of the resort where it’s really quiet.
Will be back next year!

Nearer to the main reception (road) there is a section still under construction. Our room was much closer to the beach and never heard any commotion. Hope this helps.

Dont go on this hotel Rachel, its horrible, It was a nightmare during 3 days at ko Tao, ive very bad impression of ko Tao cause them.... were my last days at Tailand and de feel so sad, its very dirty, pictures are lying cause ur at 500m of swimming pool and beah, u cant sleep cuse there is a construction at day and night clubs at night, beach is unable to swim, only for boats, people working there cant speak english and they are all time laugthing of you and not hearing what you say or need, Also they cheated us with prívate tour we've paid to them and Also cheated us with motorbike rent, last day they told us that motorbike was scratched (It was a chear, motorbike was old and were full of scratches before rent It) and make us Pay 150€ to give us our passport back
