Many positives about this place but also some negative. The staff as super friendly and the view in the room was gorgeous! Everyone we have met staying here have been lovely and you can rent kayaks to explore the nearby bays. They also provide free breakfast for all guests but this is only very basic two eggs, two toast and a small sausage.

Things to note are that the rooms are extremely tired. Our floor boards were slightly breaking, the drain on the bathroom had a horrible smell and the water runs brown out of the tap at first so I’m presuming it comes from a stream? The light switches were impossible to work out and the doors all had sliding locks and were stiff and difficult to use. We also never got our room done up once. We stayed for 4 nights with no bed or towel change at all and I can’t say the room was super clean.

The location is indeed beautiful but it is a real walk away from the centre. Bare in mind there are no cars or motorbikes and between you and getting home on a boiling hot day is a good 20 minute hike. If I were to stay in Koh Phi Phi again I would definitely choose somewhere a bit more modified and a bit closer to the centre. Maybe somewhere with WIFI too!

Overall the beautiful location really made it for us. The quietness away from the noise of the main beach was a plus but the rooms were tired and the walk to and from the centre was really tough, especially in the daytime.

This is our 3rd visit to this wonderful hotel. And the first time in the off season. Nothing has changed in the hotel since then. It's like time has stopped. The same views caressing the eye, the same tree houses - natural and natural. The same friendly faces of the hostess and staff. Everything is family home. Clean, tidy, sincere! According to the hostess, they only opened a couple of months after the pandemic. We knew where we were going, so minor inconveniences were not news to us. The view from the window makes up for everything! The best view is in houses 6 and 5. So if there are free ones, book them. From the new, the rooms have a refrigerator and a safe.
Taking into account the cost and specifics of the hotel, everything is in balance. But just to be on the safe side, travelers need to know a few things before they travel. The hotel is quite far from the city. On the ground, the path lies along a mountain coastal path, through the jungle, abandoned hotels, landfills. In the off-season, boat transfers are often not possible due to rough seas. Breakfasts are monotonous, so if you stay for a long time, then you will get bored. The hotel is in the jungle, so there will be mosquitoes anyway. And in the room there is nothing from them except a canopy. Take sprays and fumigators with you. Wifi only in the restaurant. The rooms do not have air conditioning, so it can be stuffy in the heat. The hotel has a rocky shore, so swimming in the off season with waves will not work.

Must be honest, we choose the hotel because of the opportunity to stay at a nice bungalow and the photos were interesting. Although the staff were nice and kind, the room clean and comfortable and the WC also very clean, this is a 2 star hotel so it's important to keep the real expectations in mind. The shower basin was outside (that wasn't explicit in the photos) and the breakfast, although tasty, could have more options. Besides all that, it's location is far away from the main settlement. One day we caught rain and it was very difficult to make the journey.

Terrible. Room is dirty and tiny, showers are outside with the mosquitos and terrible water pressure.
Terrible service, terrible breakfast, thin/hard mattress, terrible location, WAY overpriced, the food they offer is ridiculous, 80baht for half a plate of undercooked oven fries, the list goes on and on.
Basically, just avoid, i have no idea how this place has so many good reviews, it must be the scenery.
Just avoid, stay somewhere else on the island.

Just stayed here. Beautiful location, perfect view of sunset each evening. The cabins were perfect for us and were kept clean. The staff were so nice and friendly. We tried many of the Thai dishes and they were all amazing. Lots to do, we kayaked across to Monkey Beach, around to Nui Bay. Snorkeled quite a bit. Take advantage of the low season and stay on Koh Phi Phi here!

We stayed in a group of six, the 'resort' consists of seven bungalows at the far end of the main beach on Phi Phi.

The first thing to be aware of is upon arrival, you must report to the Phi Phi Inn close to the main pier. If you don't you face a 30 min hike with all your bags in blistering heat through the jungle! Unfortunately we didn't know that if you report to Phi Phi Inn, there is a boat service which takes you to the accommodation - the hike was not pleasant at all! Upon arrival Jimmy (manager) and his staff gave us free drinks and cooled us down. The main plus point of staying here is the staff, their English is limited but they are fantastic and can't do enough for you - Jimmy in particular is a top guy!

We stayed over New Year and were told that the island is inundated with people during this time, it was really nice to escape to the far side for a bit of tranquility. We had torrential rain one night and Jimmy sent a couple of lads across to the main drag to bring back food and supplies, which was a really nice touch.

Downsides are the bungalows are very basic, mosquito nets and fans (no air con) and outdoor showers which we loved but won't be to everyone's taste! The bungalows are set up the hill and well into the jungle, the route to some of them can only be described as hazardous and bloody dangerous in the rain as after the main steps, it's muddy tracks. You are well into the jungle and there are plenty of noises in the night, we saw monkeys, snakes, millipedes and frogs - we loved this and it added to the experience but be aware if you are squeamish. The other point to note is the boat ride to the main drag is in a tiny boat which is perfectly safe but doesn't feel like it in the pitch dark - this isn't for people who want comfort! Also getting out at the resort is in the water and the rocks are slippy although the lads will help you out this isn't for people with walking difficulties. The music from the night club carries across the water and might stop you getting to sleep although we just passed out!

If you are looking for good, basic digs and a bit of adventure, you'l love this. If you are particular about where you stay, give it a miss!

I have read some of the bad reviews and I think that they are going a bit far.

You get what you pay for.

Accommodation - treehouse style/bungalows over looking the sea. Basic but clean and comfortable. I’m squeamish and hate creepy crawlies and I didn’t experience any. The shower is outdoors and is nice actually and that’s saying something coming from me as I almost cried when I read the showers were outside. Just to be clear the toilets are indoors! There is no TV, there is no kettle facilities but there is a fridge and water is provided in your fridge daily. There is no air con. It doesn’t matter though as there are decent fans, which we would turn off at night as it would get too chilly.

Location - When the taxi boat comes to collect you from the ferry I think it’s advisable to know in advance to wear flip flops that can be easily removed and short clothes as we had to wade through the sea to get in the taxi boat where the tide had gone out and my other half was carrying his trainers through the air and I got my trousers soaked as couldn’t roll them up, it was fine though we were laughing. The staff carried our suitcases through the water and were really kind. On arrival and checking in our tree house was up some stony steps, not good if you have restricted mobility or struggle with steps (I’m big and I do struggle but I managed so basically most people could haha). Never heard such exaggerations in all my life as to the walk to town. I’m 4 months pregnant, pretty over weight at the moment and have been suffering severely with being constantly sick (I actually had to stop along the path to be sick a lot one of the days), however despite this it isn’t far, it was far easier to walk there and back then get boat taxis and it took 20 mins at most. Yes make sure you wear comfortable foot wear, no you aren’t walking through the middle of the jungle and it’s well lit when you walk back in the dark. You can hear the noise from the partying at night from the tree house and you’d hear that ten fold if you were even closer so I say it’s a small price to pay! Especially for the views you get from this accommodation.

Staff - so friendly and can’t do enough for you. Cannot fault them at all. If they see you are hot they point a fan at you 😂 they are so attentive.

Restaurant - Free breakfast served daily, it’s basic and good enough to set you up for the day. For the price I’m surprised breakfast is included. We ate dinner in the restaurant once to experience being right by the sea as it’s such a lovely view. There are only 6 options on the menu but the food is cheap and good. Best phad Thai I’ve had anyway.

Facilities - No swimming pool, difficult to access the sea for a swim in the sense that it’s rocky so you need some good waterproof footwear really to not hurt your feet, however it is possible! You can hire kayaks which we did and we paddled to two nearby beaches which was a lot of fun and not expensive.

Let’s put it like this, I’m going on to 5 star accommodation now which I know I will thoroughly appreciate, however this has not been a bad experience for me at all and I can be quite snobby. I think if you expect little you will get more out of it. I don’t really know what people expect for the price to be honest. I wouldn’t come to Phi Phi island again, but if I did I would stay here for sure, I think any further in to town despite having more facilities would be too in your face with the music etc.

Staff is pretty nice. Breakfast was simple. Dinner... I don’t even know how to comment.
They offer lifts by boat from the structure to the town at 8am-9am-11am. And from the town to the structure until 6pm. You’ll need to pay a 100Baht/per person for each time you call them to pick you up out of the time they select.
Notice: from 2pm ish there is low tide so you could even walk on the beach cause there is not sea at all.
Just be very very very careful what you drink and eat. I end up to Bangkok Hospital after my holiday at PhiPhi Island.
I am not saying it’s the structure’s fault... but just be careful.
The sunset view is GREAT!
Bathroom is opened so just use a lot of repellent.

Our stay was overall a really nice experience. What the apartments lack in comfort, the hospitality of the owner makes up for it.
We booked the hotel as a part of our honeymoon and we wrote the owner a mail beforehand to notify them about it. We got a nice cabin with a nice view, the room was decorated in a love theme for our honeymoon and the owner let us borrow the kayak once for free as a present. They serve amazing Pad Thai and mango smoothies and you have a wonderful view on the bay when youre sitting in the restaurant area.
When arriving we got picked up at the pier, walked about 5 minutes and waited there for 10-15 minutes for a pick up boat to come. When being picked up and dropped off those boat rides are free.
Its about a 20 minute walk from the main area of the island to the hotel and the path is well lit at night. So you are a bit secluded and sheltered from the party people. Sometimes you can still hear some of the bass from the discos at 10pm, but that was never a big issue for us in going to sleep. What you should keep in mind is that this is not a luxury hotel. The doors were rustic and even if you close them there are still some gaps where wildlife could get into the room, which it never did for us. We had one encounter with a snake on the way when coming from the beach and a frog I almost stepped on in the dark in the front of our door. So mind your step and have an eye open for your surroundings. The mattress of the bed was quite stiff and there was no air conditioning, but a fan. Its also good to know that there is only Wifi in their restaurant/reception area, but not on the rooms.
But since we were out almost all day we were fine with the room.
The owner also arranged a private half day boat tour for us to go to Maya beach, monkey beach and do some snorkeling and gave us a small lunch box for the trip. It was an authentic experience with one of the traditional Thai boats and not those tourists cruisers. But since it was quite windy that day our guide wasnt able to bring us to all of the destinations we would have liked to see while the big tourist boats were able to. It was still a nice, authentic and private experience. You would have to weigh out then what kind of experience suits you.
Overall we were happy with our stay and the hospitality. You just shouldnt expect a top of the line luxury hotel.

Hi! The nearest bar/pub is in the centre of island. It is about 8-10min walk from the hotel :) ask about that path at the hotel :) also you can ask dor a boat, the last one which is free, is at 18:00 and you can order later but it is quite unsafe and you have to pay for it :)

Would not recommend to visit this place with a year old baby. If possible shift to a hotel near the main centre. This place is very remote and can be difficult to even reach out to a store or doctor in times of emergency.
