We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The restaurant was relaxed and had a very wide choice of menu, at reasonable prices and food good. Plenty of beach bars and restaurants in easy reach. Room comfortable. The only down side was that although we were told our room would be serviced every alternate day, this did not happen at all...

The rooms where big and clean. Bathroom was a little disappointing. Toilet couldn't handle flushing two times in a row, the floor wouldn't dry and it was very dark there. But still no such a problem. Had a fridge, AC, view: swimming pool (clean!) sunset and sea. Good wifi and a restaurant to die for! We tried almost everything on...

We stayed here for 4 nights, the rooms were large & modern our first bathroom smelt of sewerage so we were moved & that was grand. The beach itself isn't very nice, you can't swim due to the rocks, I would maybe consider klong din beach if I were to stay again. All in all it was a fine stay,...

I am inclined to agree almost literally with the three reviews from January 2010. While I'd rather not speculate whether the managers are "money-grabbers" or not, at least I have made very similar observations as the reviewers. The hotel is indeed nicely situated and has good amenities, reasonably priced laundry, meals, scooters etc. The staff may be helpful and even...

The location is great, a stone's throw from the beach, and the hotel itself is not bad, although a little dated in style. The rooms are painted well, and well appointed and the pool is nice and clean, with reclining chairs and parasols. There is a small restaurant for the breakfast (overpriced and a struggle to get what is supposedly...

The hotel had decent rooms and a nice pool with good access to the beach. However the hotel owners were very unfriendly. They refused to wash and / or replace our towels and didn't stock the fridge with water. Breakfast wasn't very good and they refused to help us with anything. All the advice they gave turned out to be...

Having lived in Thailand for 3 years, I'm pretty accustomed to the ways of Thai people and resorts and have stayed at many, many places around the country. The hotel itself is actually decent and in a good location, however, the staff and service in this place was really very poor. We stayed for a total of 5 nights in...

What a nice place to stay. The room has a 140 degree view of the sea with the sunset and the moon set right in the middle. There is a very nice swimming pool. The room has air conditioning, king size bed with comfortable pillows, tv, wireless internet, an extra couch/bed, and a very nice private balcony with two nice...

After a few bad experiences on the island accommodation wise, we approached this resort ourselves to see if they had rooms available. They luckily did and for half the price that we paid for accommodation with much less quality. This is a bit more hotel-like, the rooms are next together, they don't have seperate bungalows. All the rooms are renovated...

The Darawadee is located on what is possibly the best stretch of Khong Klong beach, which is to say the stretch with the least amount of exposed rock at low tide. Structurally, it is the only place on this beach that has a classic "motel" architecture... two stories of rooms with outside entries in back and ocean-facing balconies or decks....
