The comfortable and spacious rooms are widely praised for cleanliness, contributing to the luxurious atmosphere that travelers enjoy. Once a gem of this coastline, now showing its age. This is a ‘Resort’ style hotel set in beautiful grounds. It offers comfortable but dated and dark accommodation. There are about 180 rooms so it is quite a large hotel compared to others nearby. The steepness of the resort is not for the frail, infirm, disabled or faint hearted. We were in the 800’s which required the negotiation of 208 steps to get to ground zero where the restaurants, lobby and main pool were located. Yes there is a transport service which can be called but all this adds to delays and wait times in high heat and humidity. Rooms in the 100/200’s are closest to amenities.
Housekeeping was excellent, everything was topped up on a daily basis and the cleanliness was top notch. Sleep quality is excellent with high quality linens.
The staff here are one of the hotel’s strongest assets ……. lovely people.
Monkeys and Mosquitoes abound so do not leave doors or windows open. Each room is provided with a complimentary spray for arms and legs and there is an electronic mosquito repellent machine which housekeeping provide a new insert for on a daily basis.
We booked for breakfast as part of our stay. This had a wide range of provision that catered for most tastes. The egg station was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and above all very meticulous in clearing tables, floors etc.
The experience of breakfast can only be described as a noisy melee with screeching and crying children, greed, waste and unseemly habits. Families with children left tables looking like a Tsunami had occurred, waste food on the table and floor and parents who seemed happy to let it happen. I cannot believe that they would allow such a mess to occur in their own home.
The buffet style breakfast is a recipe for greed. Only take what you can eat! In terms of carbon footprint, the buffet breakfast must be a high scorer in terms of CO2. The effort and resources that have gone into the foods production should not be squandered so lightly.
If you are able to cope with a cacophony of screaming and crying children both in the restaurant and in the pool area then this hotel may be what you are looking for. If you are looking for a restful and calm holiday then this may not suit.
There are a number of very good restaurants within walking distance (10 mins) or tuk tuk if you are not a walker. We found it a great relief to get away from the hectic environment of the hotel and enjoy local Thai cuisine at local prices.

Absolutely wonderful resort with the loveliest staff. Never been before but just had the best holiday ever at the Rawi Warin. Food is amazing, staff are just wonderful ( Mee by the pool bar is lovely and remembers everyone’s name) the resort is paradise! If you get a deluxe room, be warned it’s at the top of the hill, anything above 300 is a bit of a hike, great for cardio, not great after you’ve had some’ happy hour’ joy by the pool! There are lots of buggies to take you up the hill, although sometimes you may have a 5 min or so wait! The positive is all rooms have either a sea or jungle view, but if you have a jungle view, keep your patio doors closed when your not in or you may come home to find a wild monkey wearing you’re Calvin Kleins! Deluxe rooms with tropical view are the same as the standard delux rooms, but are just lower down, which is better! There are plenty of sunbeds available both on the beach and by the pool! Happy hour is 4 till 6pm, cocktails are half price and beer is 3 for 2. If you want to eat out, turn right out of the resort and there are lots of places to eat within 5 mins walk. Hug Lanta I can recommend or you can walk about half a mile, turn right by the 7/11 (there’s a cash machine there too) and Richie’s bar is a 3 min walk, which is right on the beach, good food and live music! If you’re using cash machines, beware there’s a 250bht (£5) charge per withdrawal! All in all, I will defiantly be coming back to the Rawi Warin, wonderful on all levels!

We booked this for my 50th birthday, husband is 63 and not so good walking, but we have been looked after very well by the little trucks that are available to pick us up wherever we want to go on the resort. Grounds are Beautifully looked after thanks to the hard working gardeners. Pool bar is good with nice choice of drinks and food at a reasonable price - yes you can get cheaper but you expect to pay a little more for the hotel facilities. Reception area is nicely laid out and new guests well looked after. We had a hire car and have been able to park all week for free. Restaurant for breakfast buffet is all nicely done, plenty of choice and everything really good. We stayed in room 311 a Sunset Pool Villa which is incredibly private. It looks straight out to sea with stunning views down the coast and to the beach area. The accommodation comprises two buildings, one a bedroom, bathroom/ shower, changing area and the other building more a day room with large bed settee, mini bar and fridge. Housekeeping have been fantastic and given us everything we asked for. The pool has been incredible, this sits between the two buildings where we also have our own sun loungers and umbrella. It’s totally private, so for this room no need to worry about fighting for sun loungers down at the main pool. Water is provided foc every day - four bottles. The beach has few sun loungers but most people seem to prefer the pool, so not a problem. There is rock in the sea, but at high tide there is a good sandy swimming area. As a snorkeller, the water is a bit murkier than I’m used to, but going slower seems to mitigate that problem. A lot of people were complaining about jellyfish on the island, but we haven’t seen any on the beach or in the sea. In summary, this is a gorgeous resort, if you are a couple, you can work it right to avoid the families, which there are a lot, but if you choose the right room and avoid the pool that is fine. Finally the main thing that makes this resort work so well are the staff, who are all so friendly and accommodating and thank you so much to you all for helping make our week so lovely.

Overall, we were really disappointed with this hotel. It looks lovely when you get there, but then it took a turn......
* Complete lack of sunbeds (doesn't have to be this bad). After a busy week of travelling, I wanted to relax by the pool, but unless you had a towel down by 7am, you really couldn't get a bed. The amount of beds that were left unattended until 10.30-11am was a joke and the staff did nothing to enforce their own rules.
The hotel is also like a creche, so if you're hoping for a nice couples holiday. This is probably not the hotel for you.
When we booked, based on the images on the website of the villas, we thought we would have a sea view. Turns out that only a few (perhaps 4) of the villas have a sea view, so beware.
It all was a bit down hill from checkin - we were asked to pay a deposit of 3000 Baht (cash or credit card). We don't have a credit card and didn't have the cash. We offered a debit card, but told this wouldn't be accpeted. They told us we needed to get a taxi (at our expense) to the nearest cash point! This was an awful and somwwhat embarassing experience and certainly not a 5* one. The staff then decided they would take a debit card afterall. Turns out that doesn't matter as you're still asked to pay at the end for any drinks etc. you've had on your stay. So very unclear what the point of the deposit is. It took 3 weeks to 'unfreeze' the money on my card.
The hotel also (like other hotels I assume) charges crazy prices for drinks and food. I get a mark up but this felt like absurd.
So many small things that add up to this being a good 4* hotel, but certainly not a 5*.
The staff were so unhelpful and their attitude poor (apart from the chaps that drove the shuttles around the hotel) it was incredibly frustrating. Not what we experienced overall from our other stays in Thailand.
Koh Lanta is great, but there are better hotels to stay at.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful with a fantastic location in koh lanta, it’s about 20 minutes away from the ferry port. I found the check in process quite slow and you have to sit down stand up repeat, but the staff were lovely and the give you a personal tour when showing you your room which felt like a nice touch. We booked a with a pond view but were kindly upgraded to a sea view. The rooms and view were stunning with every single detail you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice but didn’t appear to be managed the best, the staff occasionally chased you down to ask your room number (after already giving it when you were seated?) and neither coffee machine worked properly for the duration of our stay, a latte or cappuccino was just watery coffee which was a slight downside. The pool and beach bar restaurant was quite expensive charging 80 baht for water when it’s 10 in the shops outside, but added 10% service charge even when you fetched it yourself? (there was no beach or pool service) and you can only order off the main menu until 6:30pm but they didn’t tell us this until we tried to order at 6:38pm. It felt like most things you wanted was: the answer is no what’s the question. We ordered French fries from the menu for dinner one night and were told that they had ran out (at 8pm?) and we asked for a vanilla milkshake by the pool but of course this wasn’t possible as they didn’t have any milk left??
Overall the hotel and amenities were lovely and with a few tweaks, would be fabulous. I would go back to this hotel if I was visiting koh lanta again.

Family of four, with our adult daughters both in their 20s we absolutely loved our stay on Koh Lanta, and Rawi Warin offered us the best of both worlds (luxury accommodation in very close proximity to authentic island culture, restaurants, and bars. April is not high season, which ended in March, so we never struggled with too many guest either around pools, nor at breakfast.
We were picked up at Saladan pier by Bao in a very spacious, comfortable and well air conditioned people carrier, organised by the hotel, and arrived at the hotel within 20mins. Bao’s wife took us all the way back to Ao Nang by people carrier at the end of our trip, which turned out to be much more convenient, comfortable, interesting (views) and both time and cost effective, compared with the speed boat transfers we’d previously enjoyed from Railay to Koh Phi Phi and onward to Koh Lanta.
Our rooms (601 & 603) were lovely, clean, perfectly airconditioned, and afforded us welcome break from the heat of the day (and night). Bathrooms were spacious and everything worked as it should, powerful roomy showers and bath tubs too! Cleaners did an impeccable job too!
All the staff were lovely and friendly, especially Mr Mee, the Pool Bar man, who learned all our names on day one of our five night stay, and couldn’t have looked after us all better throughout our stay, thank you Mr Mee and team!
Location wise we loved the immediate area and the area of Klong Nim just south of the resort and Klong Kong just north. We used local taxi and tuk tuk operator (Nada) who we’d contact via WhatsApp whenever we needed transport to bars, restaurants, the mangroves at Tung Yee Peng, etc. You can contact Nada on +66 94 802 7086
Thank you Rawi Warin, Mr Mee, Nada, and team for an awesome time on Koh Lanta. A welcome break between busier resorts of Koh Phi Phi (5 nights) and Ao Nang (2 nights).
We’d certainly recommend Rawi Warin for couples, families and groups!!

We had the pleasure to spend our recent vacation in Thailand (3 weeks) at the Hotel Rawi Warin Resort & Spa in Koh Lanta and can only report positive things. From arrival to departure, the stay was simply fantastic!
Location: The hotel is ideally located right on the beautiful beach. The area is quiet yet lively, with numerous small restaurants and shops nearby.
Rooms: Our room was spacious, quiet and very clean. The decor was stylish and the beds incredibly large and comfortable. We slept excellently every night! We especially liked the location of the room, as we had a "Pond room" and thus had the direct proximity to the beach, breakfast, pool, reception, etc.
Service: The service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, helpful and very eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We would particularly like to highlight and thank the General Manager Waree, the pool bar Chef Mee, and the boxing coach Fad, as well as the entire staff, who have all made sure that we enjoyed an unforgettable holiday.
Food: The breakfast buffet was very rich and offered a very wide selection of fresh, delicious food and daily specials. We can also highly recommend the evening events that take place approximately every 2 days. In addition to the very delicious food (buffet), there was always musical accompaniment, sometimes even live.
Conclusion: Overall, our stay at Rawi Warin Resort & Spa was an unforgettable experience. We can recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish stay. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Quiet hotel that is secluded. If you don't just want to hang out by a pool with other guests, it's a bit off. Out on the road there are a few restaurants, 3, sometimes a shop to buy water is open but that's all. There was a shop in the hotel area, but it wouldn't open until a month from now, so bring everything you need, here you can't buy a swim ring, bathing suit or anything else you might have forgotten. Expensive to eat at the hotel, recommend walking along the beach about 15 minutes and have lunch, a third of the price than at the hotel & much cozier. The hotel rooms are nice but worn, the balcony door could hardly be closed but clean & fresh & ok beds. Good transport to the rooms so you don't have to walk the slopes. Sunbeds on the beach which are often free, it's nice. It's difficult to swim in the sea at the EC when it's low tide, then there are mostly large stones, so take care before lunch. Missing bar lounge where you can hang out in the evenings, very calm & quiet hotel.

Just back from a fabulous 4 night stay at Rawi Warin. Didn’t have the best weather while we were there but the hotel made up for it. This plan is beautifully designed and felt 5 Star all the way with lots of space gorgeous guests. We had a sunset pool villa right over looking the ocean and loved having the extra room for evening entertainment with our teenagers who had their own villa ( what a treat!) nearby. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts ( so much choice ) and pool Snacks and also made use of the very well equipped gym. Our favourite place was actually the peaceful lap pool near the beach. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and we also had a return minibus to Krabi Airport ( with WiFi on the minibus) . Well definitely will be back here for another family visit.

Beautiful hotel, very pleasant, ideal for a holiday with families or couples. At 50 meters on the beach there is a massage parlor, you have to go (500 bath the massage).
The staff is very attentive. The breakfast is very good, and the food is okay! (Nothing beats small restaurants in the middle of small villages, rent a scooter and discover)

it sits beachfront, beach is small , they have first come first serve umbrellas with bean bag chairs. We preferred these over the pool area.
Yes you can walk to restaurants and bars, it is very much island life so dark at night. I would recommend you get a scooter though. Course there are taxis avail usually right outside of hotel.
My sister could you the hotel facilities while we were there she could use the pool but she had to pay 500 batt each day and you can ask to have break fast as well for more money I think and then the restaurant us à la carte so i guess you could go
There are more places to choose from in the Ko Lanta area.
