The good: Very nice people at the front desk, good location, wifi The bad: The room. Mattress cover on my bed was worn and had large stains on it. There was exposed electrical wiring where there used to be a bedside light. The floor was torn in places and repaired with tape. The shower was right over the toilet. The...

Me and my boyfriend arrived on lanta looking for a quiet and peaceful week or so to chill out on the beaches. Lanta lantern was the epitome of chilled! The front is an opened out veranda/deck/bar/shisha mix with lots of pretty lanterns and lights and relaxing music. The second we arrived, Fan greeted us warming and we soon came to...

Lanta Lantern Great location for backpackers, or other open-minded budget travelers We stayed on Koh Lanta for 15 days. One reason for extending our stay on Koh Lanta was to opportunity to have accommodation at Lanta Lantern (LL). We stayed during our entire time on Koh Lanta twice in Lanta Lantern. Our decision to book a room there again was...

The rooms are basic but good enough for the price. It's close to the pier and the service is warm and welcoming. It has a lovely atmosphere, great food, good chill out area and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a charming little spot to rest. It has only 7 rooms and they were fully booked when others tried...

We arrived on Koh Lanta not having booked anywhere, and Lanta Lantern was pretty much the first place we came across walking into town from the ferry pier (which is only a couple of minutes down the street). We're two guys travelling together (but no, not a couple!), so we're generally looking for twin rooms, which Lanta Lantern don't have....

We originally stayed to the south of the island on Katiang bay which was beautiful but after a moped crash we moved to the town to be nearer the hospital and found Lanta Lantern. I was in need of some where to rest for a week or so and Lanta Lantern was the best place for this, it has a...

We went there thinking first we'll stay only one night but we enjoyed it so much that we staid there all the time. In the evening you can enjoy a good Shisha with fresh fruit juice, we also played lots of social games with other travelers. The couple running the place, Anthony and Fan, are simply genuine and they take...

Everything is to find cheaper and better on the beach! Take a tuk tuk and check it out many, many little resorts around "longer beach". We had a over night stay in the guest house which was ok, but simply the point that it was very, very noise the hold night and also in the early morning was a minus....

First of all, thank you for your review. We are always appreciated a customer comment. However, I'm afraid that some of the point of view may be a little bit too exaggerate. Our guest house is basically away from the market even though it is located in the town. We provide the relax area in the front and the back...

Great value bungalows set close to the beach.. A nice swimming pool to use hwen the tide is out as then it is too rocky to swim; great a high tide though. You can get a fan room with hot shower, refrigerator nuce balcony in high season for 700 baht. A good deal at a busy time of year! AIR...

“Don't fret too much if there aren't any air-conditioned rooms left. The large ceiling fan in my room was quite effective -- enough that I ended up turning it off in the middle of the night because it had quite effectively cooled the room down and just wasn't needed any more.”
