This was the best place we stayed at in all of Thailand.
You get your own detached bungalow, which is; clean, fridge stocked, nice bed, good bathroom, good air-conditioning, TV, etc. You even have a back balcony area, a front porch and a driveway.
You can rent a scooter for 200 baht a day from reception, which you can just drive right up to your front door. Perfect.
The swimming pool was great and the staff were so nice, friendly and helpful.
Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice room/villa. Well furnished and had tea/coffee facilities/safe/fridge/good bathroom. Location so so.At wrong end of Long Beach (the rocky end) and 5 mins walk across the road. Shops/7.11/Thai bars and restaurants nearby. Lovely Beach Bar (Moonwalk) nearby. Pool excellent if a bit strong on the chlorine. Swedish restarant on site was a bit expensive but some of the Thai ones nearby were excellent and cheap.

A MUST for couples!
My Girlfriend and I spent six days here during the rainy season and completely loved every moment of it. There were only a few other families staying at the resort so it almost like we had it all to ourselves. The second pool (the one up the hill past the Ganesh statue) became sort of like a private swimming pool for us since we were the only two swimming in it all week. It's peaceful, quiet, and very relaxing. The staff is always helpful and maintain a very clean and enjoyable atmosphere. The free breakfast was a highlight as you're served from a very good menu selection while they also bring you out a good amount of extras such as fruit, juice, and tea's. Our own little cottage room was just perfect for us. It had great storage, a locked safe, clean spacious bathrooms, and decently hot showers. The location is as good as it gets for Koh Lanta Yai island. We did have a couple power outages from some heavy wind a couple nights. But they didn't last long and didn't really ruin any moods. The prayer speakers sound enchanting in the distance and aren't too loud from this location. I highly recommend this location for couples or even small families of three or four. We will be back!

When we first arrived the room we had seemed great and clean. The air con was not very good and didnt cool the room down very well. The swimming pool was nice and there was guy cleaning it regularly. I was woken up in the night by a noise and at first just thought something was on the roof. After a while i realised the noise was in the room and after investigating there was a mouse eating through some snacks in a bag we had. It ran off behind the table the tv was on and behind the fridge. The mouse kept coming back. We tried to contact someone to do something about it but there was no one in reception and the button to call someone didnt work so we didnt get to speak to someone until about 7 am and i had probably had an hours sleep. They came to look and moved the table and fridge and the plug socket was hanging off the wall and a hole where the mouse was getting in. There were so many mouse droppings on the floor behind the fridge! They did apologise but this didnt help with my nights sleep.

If you are a no worries kind of person or someone that only wants a bed to sleep in - this place is for you. If you like cleanliness and good standards - stay away! Booking this hotel was last minute. I read the reviews - they weren't too bad and was willing to live with a semi smelly bathroom as it's quite normal in Thailand. Upon arriving the staff was friendly and helpful. Our bungalow was about 300m up a very steep hill. The telephone wasn't working and the shower's water pressure was non existent. After a few times up and down the hill, we informed the management but nothing was fixed. The next day we couldn't shower at all as the water would appear and go away every minute. Not once did any of the staff offer to come to our room, my husband had to walk up and down the whole time. After many discussions, they offered to move us.
We moved down the hill to what seemed like an upgrade as the walls were brightly painted with a few extra scattered cushions but worse in every way. The maintenance was in and out the room the first 2 hours to fix the tv. The water pressure was fine but the water was bright yellow to the point that it stained everything!! We showed them and they said it's normal. We bought bottled water to wash. At 8h that evening we got a letter saying that the water would be fixed in 10 minutes. That never happened. During our Thailand trip we stayed in 5 different hotels and resorts and never had the water issues at any one of them. The staff started getting cocky and ignoring us. Unfortunate we had to book a ferry to Phuket through the hotel. After an hour of explaining they said everything was booked. They only booked a ferry to Phi Phi Island, when my husband questioned them about their mistake, the manager simply told him sleep in Phi Phi for one night! After a long discussion it was finally fixed. This is really the worst place I've ever paid to stay in and my first bad review. Attached is a photo of the water we paid to shower in. This is not urine, it's 'fresh' water. We completed a customer satisfactory form upon check out - still no reply. The hotel has potential but is dated and need some serious renovations and better management. Its on the main road across from many beach restaurants so we never tried the hotels restaurant

We had been traveling throughout Malaysian and Thailand for a couple of months and needed to slow down and felt Koh Lanta would be the place to do that. We booked two weeks at the Lanta Manda Resort at Long Beach based on reviews and photographs. Upon our arrival we were very pleased with what we got. From the Bungalow to the grounds to the breakfast provided this place ticked off all our boxes of needs. The place is very clean and well run. The resort is one block off the beach but don't let that put you off as getting to the beach is very easy and we spent part of every day at Long Beach but we're away from the beach activities and noise when we wanted to be. The Bungalows are large and we'll equipped with a very good size covered deck off the front and a small deck off the back. We used our deck at the front a lot as did a lot of the other residents here. All the units run up a hill off the main road and give a sense of community to your stay. There are two pools. One just as you enter which we used as we were near the bottom and one near the top if that is near your bungalow. The pool was clean and well maintained as was all the grounds. You get regular daily cleaning of your residence. The breakfast was the best we have experienced on this trip with a wide variety so there would be something to please every taste. You can rent motorbikes here and the ones they rent are newer and well maintained at competitive rates.
For the daily price we paid to stay here both my wife and I felt we got extremely good value. We really like Koh Lanta for the easy going and laid back feel this island has. Staying at Lanta Manda definitely had a lot to do with our overall appreciation of the area. I cannot recommend this resort enough for those with a family and for those wanting to put down some roots for a bit and just relax in a great place in Thailand.

This is a nice place with extremely nice staff (especially Su). The bungalows are spacious and clean, very comfy queen size bed, well thought out layout. No restaurant to speak of but there are lots of great restaurants locally. It's a 5 min walk to the beach and the place is of a standard that would cost at least $15 more per night on the beach. Only thing with the Long beach area in general is the amount of small kids, if you're a young family, this is the place to be. If you don't have kids, suggest you head for Khlong Nin.

Stayed at Lanta Village (same bungalows as Lanta Manda) with my boyfriend for 5 nights. Nice size bungalows, but a bit dated. Bathroom okay with hot shower. There were two locks on the door, one broken, so not able to lock the door from inside room. The room was left unlocked after it had been cleaned, this happened twice! Was very dissapointed with that.
Staff in reception very friendly, pool okay. You were able to use the pool up the hill at garden resort also.
Location great, 5 min walk to great beach phra ae. White sand, many restaurants.

Lanta Manda Resort is pretty good for the value. The bungalows are spacious but the furniture is aging. The place is on the whole very quiet. Good location, 10 mins walk from the beach and 3 mins from a 7/11. The staff at the hotel are smiling and helpful. Possibility to rent a scooter on site. We had no bad surprise during our 4 night stay.
