Travellers' Choice
Welcome to Lanta Pearl Beach Bungalow Resort in the middle of the beautiful Long Beach (Phra Ae Beach) on Ko Lanta. This bungalow resort is one of Ko Lanta's oldest and almost last family-run resorts on the island. But despite the fact of a continuously growing popularity of the area, the 3 generation of family members running this place manage to hold up a true sense of Thai authenticity & hospitality until these days.

I stayed at Lanta Pearl Beach Resort for 3N whilst in Koh Lanta. The resort is in a bit of a 'hibernation' phase at the moment, just like much of the tourist industry. So there are fewer staff manning the resort - enough to keep it ticking over. Its understandable. I was the only guest during my stay (lanta has been hit hard by covid). This meant that my room was only cleaned every other day - which I had no issue with at all: my room supplies were still replenished. The gardens were still being kept in great condition (the resort is nicely landscaped). It seemed like no breakfast is on offer, but that was no issue - there were options in the immesiatve area. The location is great. Fantastic. Close enough to the sea that you can hear the waves. Long Beach is near to the backyard. I paid c. £8 per night for my stay at this resort. A good and very reasonable price noting the reduced services. I'd very certainly reccomend this resort. Including if you are in Lanta in the near term whilst covid still is having an impact.

Situated near the beach, with own swimming pool, the resort is clean, generally well maintained, with friendly staff and owner. Over COVID, you need your own transport, owner rents scooters at 200 baht a day. Over COVID, no restaurant service. Outside entrance are two really good cafes. A Thai and a burger place, not open for breakfast. There appears to be a restaurant at end of street, 75m, open at 8am.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. Food was nice, had a great 8 nights here. Close to beach and bars or a 20 minute walk further down for more restaurants and bars. Chilled out place to stay! Would definitely stay again.

It's interesting to see a couple of recent reviews have said "not sure what all the fuss is about - why does this place get such good reviews". Of course, opinions are always subjective, so here's mine. The reason I, and many others, come back to this resort year after year and regard it as "home away from home" is quite simply because of the people we have met there. Yes, the hotel is well situated, clean, safe, and has great facilities; but more than that, the thing that makes it special, is if you take the time to talk to your fellow guests and the staff running the place. If you do join us at the bar one evening, you won't find a "clique", you'll just find a group of people from all over the world happy to have a beer and a chat and you'll get to meet some great people. If that's not what you're into, the hotel is still wonderful and worth staying in, but you won't be experiencing the "full" Lanta Pearl experience and what makes it worth coming back to time after time. I've made some great friends there, and every time I come back, it feels like "home". That's why the 5 stars apply...

We stayed 8 nights Room A19 family chalet with one double and one single bed Lovely pool area - newly built two or three years ago Simple breakfasts - no buffet breakfast but simple choices at reasonable prices Very good and varied Thai food served all day 50 metres from Long Beach Lots of eating places in easy walking distance We would recommend this place and will most likely be back again
