This is a very old review (December 2004, not 2014) but I wanted to write because my sister and I stayed here for a wonderful week over Christmas, 2004. We had a tiny, very simple little bungalow on stilts, ate every day in the wonderful restaurant, and enjoyed daily massage. The private beach was beautifully quiet, but we still met...

As a tourist in Thailand (especially on an island as popular as Koh Lanta) you'll be hard pressed to find a beach as secluded/private as the one at Bamboo Bay. It's on the very opposite end of the island from the ferry you'll arrive on and the entrace is white-knuckle steep. Don't rent a scooter out here unless you're experienced....

Situated in the last bay at the southern end of Kho Lanta, Bamboo Bay is well placed to be a fabulous retreat. Sadly it's great location, beautifully designed bar and restaurant and friendly staff are marred by very neglected rooms. Ours was like a concrete boarding house, filthy bathroom in need a good scrub and imbued with a general air...

This resort is awesome! Nice, big and clean rooms with an awesome view. The staff is very, very friendly and speaks good english. If you want to have party every day or do shopping trips, this resort is a little bit far away, so you need a scooter or something. But if you just want to relax - its perfect!

Just stayed at Bamboo for 6 nights and absolutely loved it! The bungalows all have breathtaking views of the bay below. We stayed in big bungalow #18 and the view was one of the best... But all the bungalows have amazing views. If you are thinking ´´hilton'´ then go elsewhere because obviously if you paid so little for a bungalow...

I stayed here during New Years 2013 for over a week and it was one of the most beautiful places I've been to so far. The accommodation is great, good food and lovely, lovely staff. It's a gem! The location of the resort is stunning, it has it's own private beach, clean and a backdrop of the trees and hills....

Now this is what I imagined Thailand to be like. Near deserted beaches, very friendly people, great food, relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in a small air con bungalow, which was lovely. It was about 10 steps from the beach. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, and their food was amazing. If you like really spicy food, I recommend...

I stayed here for three days. Prices in the restaurant fluctuated daily depending on the waiter that served you. Always check your bill against the menu. I also have since found out that I was heavily overcharged for my accommodation compared to prices advertised on agoda, trip advisor and booking.com. The staff are very friendly and do try to help...
