Stayed here for one night. Lady at front desk during day is friendly and speaks good English. Location in old town is good, 1km walk from sights. Courtyard is good for sitting in as many plants and very 'green'. Quiet, away from main road. Room was clean. Not sure if it is staffed at night except for a security guard. In the evening a large street food market opens one main road away, 1km, that is worth visiting for an inexpensive meal. Opposite ruins on Bang Lan Road, next to Khlong Bang Lan.
Great room in a good location. Very comfortable. The bed is really soft but still very comfortable with the light duvet. Aircon needs to be on maximum cooling to keep the room cold enough and they'll turn it off anyway during the day when they clean the room but it only takes a few minutes of waiting outside when you get back to your room after a long day sightseeing in the sun for it to cool down. When leaving its 60thb for a Tuktuk to the minivan station to get a minivan to DMK (70 thb). Nice surprise was there little breakfast tray that they supply with a few bananas, yoghurts and cake, perfect! Can definitely recommend.
Arrived after 7 pm, was greeted at the door, shown our name on a chalkboard to confirm it was us & shown to Room 1, Standard King. Very nice, very clean, colourful, spacious room. King bed, nice sheets, fridge, AC, TV (couple English channels), good wifi,2 bottles water in fridge, side & coffee table. Coffee/tea/hot water provided at the check-in area. Decent sized bathroom with corner shower, dry floor. Nice continental breakfast provided in a basket to your room each night, usually changed a bit each day. There is 7-11 about a 5 minute walk away and the historical park can be reached in 15-20 minutes on foot. Very friendly, helpful and attentive hostess who provided a tourist map & then explained getting tickets for the major sites, thank you. We also booked a river cruise with her which was very enjoyable, 3 stops along the way. Later in the day when sitting on our deck enjoying the weather and garden somebody might come by and put the deck overhead fan on. We enjoyed the area & this place immensely & would recommend it to anybody looking for a friendly oasis in the city.…
Absolutely brilliant room with everything you could need for a fantastic stay. Clean and comfortable with a large fridge, superb bathroom and a lovely little terrace to enjoy a cold drink after sight seeing. Within walking/cycling distance of all the major attractions including the night market which is great for an authentic pad Thai. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night, the staff couldn't be more helpful and the breakfast included was great, a great value little place.
Just love this hotel and will stay there again the next time I am in Ayutthaya. The Baan Baimai Boutique Room is a small boutique hotel that is a perfect spot to base your exploration of the ruins of Ayutthaya, not to mention for the price it is an incredible bargain. A 5-star hotel at a 2-star price. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly and kind. Upon check-in, the staff suggested we take a sunset river cruise later that afternoon which was truly a delightful experience. The boat stopped at 4 different Wats and cruising on the river between spots was an amazing experience featuring great views of various Wats and life in general in Ayutthaya. They also arranged for transportation to and from the boat, packed us a light meal and gave us a bottle of water each. If I remember correctly, the whole experience for the two of us cost 550 Baht (plus a few Wat entrance fees). The staff also arranged for a tuk tuk driver to take us sightseeing the next day. I could go on and on about how good the service was, but the bottom line is that I have never stayed at a hotel with such exceptional service. The owner even gave us a gift when we checked out. As for the rooms, they are spacious, extremely clean and tastefully decorated with all the amenities one would expect. Each ground floor room has an outside seating area which is set in a lovely garden area featuring some unique and funky decorations; just perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the ruins. Apparently only breakfast and lunch our available at this hotel but the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. In addition, each night they leave you a basket of fresh fruit, bread and yogurt which is intended as a mini breakfast. You can also help yourself to coffee and tea in the lobby. There is a 7/11 within walking distance as are several restaurants. A little further away from the hotel but still within walking distance is the night market. Although you could walk to several Wats from the hotel the best way to explore the ruins is by hiring a tuk tuk. I look forward to staying again at the Baan Baimai Boutique Room.…
