I stayed two nights in this cute family run guest house. The rooms are clean and comfortable "cabin" style houses, arranged in a garden. My room had a large fridge, small old TV with satellite hookup, locking cabinets, bench seat, kettle, and a double bed (a bit firm). AC was very efficient, cooling the room down in minutes. Bathroom was standard "wet" style, with hot shower. Rooms have a front porch with table and chairs. They offer different options for breakfast, but they also left fruit, snacks, coffee, and water on my porch each morning, nice touch! Very kind and helpful staff/owners. They have bicycles for rent, which I used to access one of the farther temples, and they didn't even charge me for the rental. Location is perfect for accessing the ancient temples, with several restaurants nearby as well. 7-11 is a bit of a walk, but not too far. If I come back to Ayutthaya, I will absolutely return to this guesthouse.

Perfect location. Very quiet road on the island.
Really friendly and service minded people. Taxi service, laundry, bicycles for rent (50 B/day).

Large fridge and water boiler.
Complimentary water and biscuits or fruit every day.

Excellent, really cozy (unusual in Thailand) restaurant "Malakor" around the corner where you can have breakfast as well (from 8 am).

We stayed 4 nights, rented bikes for 3 days and would definitely choose this homestay again.

We stayed here for three nights and found it too be a lovely place. It's right near most of the temples in the area and not far from everything else. You can hire bicycles for 50 baht a day and the staff were helpful. They gave us a map on arrival and circled out the most common places. The hut was clean and tidy, good facilities. Would recommend to all ages and all types of travellers.

We stayed for two nights in this lovely homestay. The family who runs this homestay is super friendly but unfortunately doesn't speak english very well. We rent a bike (50 THB a day) at the homestay to discover Ayutthaya. It is the best way to do it. Especially before 11 AM and after 4 PM. Between the buses full of tourist from Bangkok arrive. The homestay is almost situated next to Wat Mahathat. For dinner you can go to the night-market. The food here is extreme tasteful and cheap. In two days you easily can discover Ayutthaya. Transport from the train station to the homestay cost around 70 THB. To hire a taxi for a tour cost around 400 THB for 3 hours. The homestay can arrange this.

The homestay (a couple of wooden houses) itself is basic. The beds are extremely hard (like a lot of hotels have in Thailand), but the biggest problem were the frogs next to the bungalow. The combination of hard beds and the frogs making noise all night kept us awake for the two nights. So take some earplugs with you to this (for the rest) nice homestay.

This property is in a nice secluded setting with villa style rooms to accommodate 2 people each. The beds are large but very hard and the top sheet doesn't cover the whole bed. The wooden style structures are lovely to look at but there are many holes for mosquitos to sneak in so we had to sleep with repellant on. The washroom are moderately clean with a wet shower and a bit of a sewers smell. The staff were lovely though they spoke little English. Also, the wifi connection leaves something to be desired but got moderately better after resetting the router. It was a short walk to several Wats but secluded from restaurants and stores. It was a nice distance from the night market. We were only in town one night and it was fine but I don't think I would have stayed a second one.

We booked our first night in Ayutthaya in another guesthouse but wanted more space and comfort so spent some time trawling the streets and looking at a range of other places. Many were of mediocre standard. We were about to give up when we found Baan Kong.
Accomodation is in medium sized wood bungalows, some detached and some semi's. All have a nice seated terrace outside. Rooms are very clean and while in many ways typical have nice touches like a kettle and tea/ coffee making facilities which is not normal in this type of accomodation.
What makes this place worth its 5 star rating are the lovely staff in a town that can be a bit jaded with endless tourists their smiles were genuine and given very limited English nothing was too much trouble Bikes, help with transport, free fruit on our return and all done graciously and with warmth.
The situation is excellent on the edge of the historical park and there is a good restaurant almost next door with a Thai and Western menu.
There are not many accomodation we would return to as we like new things. This, however, is one of them.

A comfortable and precious place to stay. We headed here on the state railway from Bangkok to see the ruins for a couple of days on bicycle. The staff was friendly, supportive and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, the value for the entire experience was great, and we felt very safe in the property. There was a lovely personal touch to our room upon our arrival as it was our honeymoon. We felt very honored to stay here and would absolutely visit again if we are lucky enough to visit Thailand once more.

We stayed one night at this place. You stay at this lovely cabin with AC abd fridge. the place is at walking distance from the temples and you can have breakfast for 100 bath which includes 2 eggs fried or scrambled, sausage, 2 toast, refillable coffe and tea, a glass of juice and a fruit.
The couple that runs the place are both very nice, they help you arrange bus tickets and tuktuks. After we checked out we came back after spending all day visiting temples to get our bags and they offered us towels to take a shower before leaving, it was wonderful

Très bon hotel. Very nice hotel, typical wood bungalow, simple but clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and useful. They rent bike. Only bad thing is the breakfast, not very good. Near van stop to Bangkok.

This place is so nice and close (walking distance) to the temples. They have 8 bungalows. Spacious, clean and with your own bathroom, fridge and tv. Wifi is available in the bungalow and ours worked well. The staff is so friendly and we decided to extend our stay with two more days. We had to leave 'our' bungalow for one night, but were given back our preferred bungalow the next day. You can rent a bike for only 50 baht, and cycling is a good way to see Ayutthaya. They offer one-day laundry service, very convenient. The location is very good. Just around the corner we found two great places: one for dinner and a bit further one for breakfast.

There were a lot of mosquitos outside on the veranda when we were there in march. But inside it was okay. Dont know about this time of the year.
