We staged there for 3 days. It was a nice experience. They maintain a beautiful garden too. Rooms 5/5. We opted for King's suite. Service - 5/5. Staff were very friendly. Location 4/5. 1.5km from town. We had our own vehicle, so it was not an issue. Not valley facing, still good. Food 4/5. Breakfast could be elaborate; it had...

"Never trust anything till your eyes have seen it". This was something of a penchant for me whenever I travel. There were reviews and there were pictures, my fellow travellers had put up glowing reviews for Lilly's Valley; I had my inhibitions. A day spent in the serenity restored my faith in humanity. A big thanks to everyone who suggested...

I had gone to Lily's Valley Resort with my wife with some inhibitions. Generally the reviews were mixed though somewhat positive. However, in the hindsight, I can say that this hotel was the right choice for our stay. It is somewhat secluded from the other hotels on the same road. The hotel in iteslf has cottages which are well built...

Good resort. Prefer Cottages. Good garden. Average food. They have got issues with the water pipelines as it makes lot of noise sometimes while you are sleeping. Little away from main attractions. Prefer going with your own car other wise have to shell out lot of money in taxi.

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review. We are currently rectifying the problem with the water pipes, usually the pipes don't make too much sound except in the cases when a lot of air fills up inside, we can assure you this will not be a problem the next time you stay at Lilly's Valley. Regards

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lilly’s Valley is a uniquely beautiful resort set amid terraced gardens on three acres of wooded land, ringed by towering eucalyptus trees. Its 21 traditional stone cottages are constructed in the colonial British style, with handcrafted woodwork details throughout. It is the rare resort with an eco-focus and no concrete structures: even the furniture is lovingly made by hand by talented craftsmen! Built in 1982, Lilly’s Valley was the first resort in Kodaikanal. Our stone-and-wood cottages, both free-standing and attached, can accommodate couples, small and large family groups, students, and corporate groups. We are located in a quiet suburban neighborhood exactly 2 km from the center of town and the lake. With a short taxi ride or 15-minute walk, you’ll be in the heart of shopping, boating, horse-riding, roller-skating and other tourist attractions. Our style is low-key and customized to you: you can order simple, tasty Western and South Indian dishes from the kitchen, and hold gatherings in the garden gazebo with your own music and programs. We’ll even arrange a cozy night bonfire! We have special rates for long-term stays of one week or more, up to a 50% discount. Discounts are also available for weekdays. Many repeat customers, both Indian and foreign, have been coming here for decades, drawn back by the beauty, peacefulness, and cozy cottages. One Italian child born in one of our cottages returned 25 years later with her husband to stay in the same cottage! ... more   less
