This hotel is, indeed, a heritage site. It is clearly the past and present home of a wealthy family. The public rooms are furnished in 19th Century style--very gracious and comfortable. Rooms are not particularly glamorous. They are adequate, but a bit drafty and exposed to neighboring room noise. The terraces outside the rooms are very nice. If one were...

What a surprise, an Heritage Hotel in Amritsar. Courteous , friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful building off the main road and an old style haveli and just like being in someone's home. Really enjoyed the food, breakfast and dinner, the best I'd eaten in 12 days in India. Nothing was too much for staff to help the guests.

We arrived on a cold December night after booking this hotel 4months in advance. We were coming from Delhi and had been stuck at the Delhi airport for 6hrs due to fog.So when we reached Ranjit Svaasa all we wanted was a nice dinner and a cosy room to sleep in.I guess we were asking for too much. Ma'am, if I was not a hospitality graduate from Les Roches, Switzerland and an Asst Restaurant Manager from an international branded hotel on the Magnificent Mile in Chicago, USA and a third generation hospitality businessman I would have responded in a similar fashion to your farce and lies. Fortunately for us we did not have to extend our hospitality to...

Although the welcome was warm, this is where the good service ended. After an exhausting 45 minutes trying to find the hotel (which is terribly signposted), we had to go through a legnthy check in process to be able to access our rooms. The rooms are clean but very dated. Dinner service was slow, the menu selection was average, as...

My adult daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights in January and it was undoubtedly our best hotel experience in India. The gracious welcome in the stunning sitting room and the lovely upstairs luxury twin room lived up to expectations, and more. We had no bathroom problems as some reviewers have mentioned, and the housekeeping staff did a great...

We really enjoyed our stay at Ranjit's Svaasa for our time spent in Amritsar. It has a very homely feel and you feel welcome from the minute you walk in. The hotel is run by a family and they live on the property. This adds a unique element to the stay and a very homely, quirky feel to the place....
