This property is set in very peaceful countryside looking out at Mount Shertunjaya and perfectly located for walking up all 3,500 steps to the top. There are some new rooms at the back, in separate buildings and these seem to have better facilities. The food was well cooked, in a tiny kitchen. A very relaxing place.

I stayed here at the end of March 2016 for two days, on my last leg of cycle tour of India/Nepal. Perfect place to wind down, full board service was excellent, climbed up to the Palitana temples, brilliant views. Accommodation is excellent, full of antiques and the owners very helpful. No TVs or wifi but you have great tranquility.

Five circles just because. Not a luxury place as judged by modern Taj chain standards but more like luxury place in it's twilight, like something from a Wes Anderson film. Water is hot and rooms comfortable. Go for a room next to the dining room or one of the new ones outside. Beds were a little firm but this is...

Recently, I stayed at above property which is said to be a Palace built in 1906. Rooms are big but not properly furnitured. Looks is rustic. No TV. No WIFI. No signals for Airtel. Owner Couple is maintaining the property and looks after Food. Food is amazing. If Toilets are redone, I don't mind repeating this place for ever. Owners...

A palace built in 1906 is a great place to have lunch while visiting Palitana. The lady of the house makes excellent vegetarian local food, with exquisite rotis to go with sev tomato, dhal, bhaingan, etc. The food was served hot and fresh. Cannot have a better meal after climbing down the hill. They give a sumptuous meal to the...

The Vijay Vilas Palace at Palitana, built in 1906, has been opened as a homestay by its gracious hosts, Yashpal Singh and his wife Nitya. His hospitality and her culinary skills and caring gestures made our stay memorable. We spent a lovely evening in their midst, soaking in the rich history and the vistas of their sprawling palace home. Even...

What a fantastic place but it redefines the word 'Palace'. It was built in the early 20th century and the public area retains most of the original Raj-period decor - tiled floor, beautiful cornices and furniture, fun artefacts including family memorabilia - photos of the original owner with the top rank British 'ruler' and letters from him thanking the owner...
