One of the finest hotel in the old city of Panjim. It is a very well maintained retro styled place with lovely interiors. It's in a prime locality in Panjim, easy to find and very 'cab' friendly. Old artifacts and authentic wood work well defined the historic Portugese architecture. An absolute gem. Everything about the place is perfect. The staff are friendly and relaxed. The breakfast (served in the main building) is an abundant banquet with plenty of vegan and vegetarian dishes. The architecture of all three buildings the make up the complex is stunning, truly a heritage site. Outstanding features are: the complimentary toiletries, the fully functioning ceiling fan and A/C, the cleanliness, the comfort of the beds and the storage space. Special thanks to the reception in charge, a young and highly energetic , enthusiastic person , Mr Abdulla Shaik , who has made our booking comfortable and three nights stay remembering. We have stayed in Panjim inn three nights ( 12th January to 15th January ). All the staffs are very helpful. We have enjoyed at the hotel. A special request to all who have seen my review, please select the hotel for your stay at Panjim and enjoy an unforgettable experience. Thanks to all the staffs to make our stay remarkable and memorable. With love , Himadri Dey and family from Siliguri , West Bengal.…
Rooms are decent with ancient look and modern amenities, but food is damn expensive and owner is not at all friendly. Felt like a hostel warden. Again lot of good options in the same locality. complementary water was not offered initially and then upon asking bottle with tap water was provided, when we humbly rejected it, then they offered mineral bottle water. That is not good service at all. Breakfast spread is very limited, but decent tasty food.
Visited here in December. A delightfully preserved heritage building. Loved the goan recipes they serve in their resturant. Rooms were decorated tastefully. The staff was very helpful. Special shout out to Mr. Abdullah. We were late in booking our early morning cab so were unable to find any cabs. Abdullah went out of his way to ensure we find a cab and also ensured its reliable. Great service by him in terms of room service as well.
Well anointed hotel with an artistic touch, It has an old charm with many a memorabilia that you would find on shelves on walls and elsewhere. Be sure to acquaint yourself with Mr Thomas who would entertain you with interesting anecdotes of the fabled bungalow and artifacts. It has a graceful ambiance specially the vintage furniture of four poster beds and exquisitely carved tables and chairs will keep you hooked. The place sits in a middle of a Portuguese styled neighborhood with small multicolored houses tightly knit beside pathways, there are some interesting cafes as well as designer boutiques a few spaces towards the creek. Enjoy the laid back hospitality with very engaging staff and an interesting spread of Indian continental food and wine. It may feel a bit stuffy for the young at heart…
We had a truly marvellous time at Panjim Inn. The Manager Mr. Thomas D’souza was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. In fact, we felt that we had know him for years, such was the hospitality that was showered on us. He went out of his way to show us around the gorgeous heritage houses in Fontainhas. He patiently guided us to places of interest in Goa and with a smile helped us buy all the local delicacies which we relished on our return to Mangalore. The look of the place is classic with antique furniture. One can’t help but feel that one is going back in time. Thank you Mr. Thomas.
