An old school elegant ocean front hotel, with an open air restaurant facing the sea. I had a private sea view, third floor room (#23). A local, upon arriving took me here and negotiated 3 nights for Q800 in total (~$35/ night US). Quiet, tranquil, and you are left alone. No wifi, no A/C and no hot water, but the...

The room was pretty dark, the service is a mess (a bunch of teenagers with no supervisor) and the restaurant certainly doesn't compare with the neighboring hotels but it's an ok option if you're looking for a cheap place : we could easily negociate a good deal - the place is empty during week days and not even full on...

Be sure to look at some of the rooms before deciding to stay here. I found there was quite a wide range, from a little funky on the ocean side to downright dingy economy rooms. (To be fair, many places in Monterrico seem to be pretty funky. This is not a luxury beach resort-type destination). We paid 500Q for two...

I booked it on internet and i had no surprise, they were friendly and helpful the hotel has many different ype of rooms some cheap and very blend some a bit more expensive but very good, it is up to you what is important. I read a very unfair comment about it: "Full of mosquitoes" every hotel in the area...

We stayed one night with 4 friends in a room with 3 beds. It was clean and tidy. The service was great, everyone was nice and helpful but the price was not worth the room or the location. The pools were not very clean, maybe because of the season. We also ate at the restaurant because we read in our...

We stayed here for one night before moving up the road. We paid 180q for a small, dark, dirty room. There was a mosquito net but it was only half the size of the bed so it barely covered the two of us and we were bitten where it touched our skin. There staff we're dismissive. We moved to Johnny's...

We were lucky to see directly a bedbug on our bed so we checked the mattrass and we found many more.....also the room was full off cockroaches... we decided to sleep on the hammock outside even though there were strange people outside the...

This hotel has some nice features including the location on the beach and the restaurant. However, our room was a disappointment because most of the screens were ripped and the toilet did not flush. However, the biggest problem is that there was VERY loud music that played from 8 pm Saturday to 3 am Sunday making it impossible to sleep....

There is two small swimming pools surrounded by rooms and hammocks. The atmosphere is cozy. The decoration has lots of references to 'churches'. It's weird but nice. The restaurant has two floors with a nice ocean view.
