We stayed in one of their bungalows for two nights. Our bungalow was large and clean, and the bathroom was OK. The restaurant was very good and would have easily deserved 5 dots. The highlights were the swimming pools and the location of the hotel, 2 minutes away from the ocean. The hotel can also put you in touch with...

The hotel was nice but nothing spectacular. The WiFi was good is some rooms and very poor in others. Food and staff were nice and very friendly. The hotel is located in a bit of a remote area so going off property is really not an option. Good access to the beach and it has nice pools with good seating....

The hotel is located around 1.5 km outside of the center of Monterrico. It's a nice location with 21 rooms. The hotel has 3 pools (one for kids), a bar, a restaurant and a nice garden. The prices for a couple varies from 90$ ( Sunday to Thursday) and 115$ per night (breakfast included, but only a simple one). Our...

We recently stayed in this hotel for one night. We made reservations and were required to provide a credit card for securing the room. For Guatemala this is not the norm, but we did so anyway and all turned out well. We arrived at the room to find it was ready and very clean. We were in one of 2...

Absolutely the best little resort on Monterrico beach in Guatemala! The infinity swimming pool was spectacular! The bar was on one side and the restaurant on the other. We felt like kings and queens being served while in the pool relaxing! The bungalows were very nice with air conditioning and very close the the main area. Just a little bit...

While this one of the nicest places in the area it's very far from perfect. The beach only offers views of crashing waves, nothing more. The only source of refreshment are the pools. Unfortunately the staff does not restrict little children and they never leave to go to the bathroom. The infinity pool should be adults only but shamefully it's...

This is a wonderful place to stay in the Monterrico area. It's spread out as a resort from the small road about 1 mile out of town to the ocean--about a quarter mile. Most of the rooms are cabins, in the local architectural style, though there are 2 buildings with 4 regular apartment rooms in them. The cabin rooms are...

I spent the last 4 days of my vacation relaxing here. It's expensive but the heat, the black sand and the ocean view make up for it. Rooms are detached bungalows, which are clean and quiet. The air conditioning makes sleeping possible. Food is okay. The shrimp ceviche is the best think on the menu. If you are looking for...

If you have the chance to stay at Dos Mundos in Monterrico it is well worth the money. This beautiful resort style on the Guatemalan coast is a pleasure...the pool is beautiful, the food is great and the room are large cottages that are very clean. The down side is that it is not easy getting back and forth from...
