We stayed in Feb 25 in a double swim up room. Overall, the hotel is very grand, clean and the grounds are stunning.
Pros: The food and service at all of the a la carte restaurants is some of the best we've had and we would consider returning purely on this basis (yes it is that good!)
The buffet food is also delicious, hot and ample variety, regularly re stocked - you won't struggle to find something to eat in this hotel.
Room very spacious and cleaned every day, swim up room well worth the extra money, pool is heated and so peaceful.
The gardeners are hard at work every day and it really shows.
Pool bar and beach bar food/service stand out in comparison to buffet. Really worth eating there most days if you have chance to.
Majority of staff can't do enough for you, if any questions or assistance needed then they go the extra mile for customers, I felt very welcome.
'Cons': Unfortunately, one of the main issues we experienced was the chaos at the buffet when it came to drinks service - this happened mostly at breakfast but we did experience it at all meal times. You just sort of wait around for staff to notice you and take drinks orders, there is no method to this and they don't always recognise that you need drinks. Some meals were completely without drinks due to this issue. It's disappointing for a 5* hotel and I do think it's partly due to the layout of the dining area.
We have stayed at various hotels and always choose a swim up room - our experience is that a staff member visits the terraces and takes drinks orders (usually for a tip) so that customers don't need to walk to the bar and get drinks themselves. I'm aware this sounds petty but it's just one of those extra touches at other 5*'s that we really appreciate. We paid extra for swim up to enjoy the pool attached to our room but felt we missed out on the all inclusive perks due to this, needing to visit the main pools, which kind of defeats the object of a swim up room.
Our cleaner Mahmoud - he was very thorough and some of the towel art/flowers he left was a lovely surprise. However, I washed my hair one of the days and as it is dyed red, unfortunately, it left marks on one of the towels. He went out of his way to shout me as we returned from lunch and basically gave me a telling off. I'm not sure he was aware how it came across but he showed me the towel and I apologised profusely. I mentioned that I didn't mean to cause any problem and would pay for the towel but he continued to say 'this is a problem' 'do not do this again, it's not right'. He repeated himself a couple of times despite my apologies and I was quite upset with the situation. I then a) felt anxious about using the towels in the room and ended up using my own beach towel as much as possible and b) felt awkward interacting with the cleaner overall.
Despite a couple of issues this is a very nice hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Thanks to all staff for their efforts. The food and drinks are a particular highlight and I came home feeling well rested and well fed!

Check-in went great, bracelets were put on straight away and sent to a restaurant for lunch. And right after that, they issued room 3021 building near the sea and the adult pool. The rooms are clean, the furniture is good, the plumbing all worked great. The only downside was changing the beach towels that were supposed to be changed for fresh in the evening, in general never changed. But as they say, there's a way out of everything and we found it. Since most of the time we would come to the adult pool in the early morning and the pool workers would cover our sunbeds with extra towels in the morning, we would leave yesterday and pick up fresh ones. Continuing the theme of beach and pools, that is, boars and they are free come borrow and lie there all day. Poolside and beach service will be just as welcome. And glasses will be wiped and drinks will be brought, and refreshing napkins chilled are also available. Nutrition is a whole big separate topic and here's how they say it depending on what to compare it to. We compared to Rixos premium seagate and unfortunately Rixos won in everything except baking. And here's a hotel thank you to the pastry chef and his creations ... they were always delicious and aesthetically perfect. There's always freshly squeezed juices, as you should. Special thanks to the waiters they are always polite, helpful and quick enough to respond to all requests if any appear during the meal. Ala-carte, there was a funny story here at an Asian restaurant... they ordered soups and asked if there were pits, to which the answer was yes, although it must be said that it was not on the menu. They ended up bringing miso soup instead of that pit. Other than that, service and food are level. We didn't go to any evening shows except live music at the bar near the reception. Here in the evening you have to say drinks you will have to wait long enough and more often faster to go to the bar yourself and order and get your drink. Near the beach there is a promenade which you can walk outside the hotel through the neighbouring hotels. The Wi-Fi works throughout the territory speed is decent and no additional sims are required to stay connected. The entrance to the sea and here you are waiting 1 km on foot on the panton, cars drive, but the schedule is not clear, but if they drive and there are places you can brake. The overall impression of the hotel is on 5. If you ask the question if we're coming back here, the answer is... depending on the price difference with Rixos. Kind and positive, everyone.

We stayed here for 7 nights in block 3, check in was swift and pleasant with freshly squeezed juices on arrival. We were in block 3, which overlooked the adult pool, and the location and outlook were fantastic. The only downside with this was that it was a bit of a wind corridor and we didn't get the greatest sleep as the wind howled through the patio doors. I think the other blocks are set back a bit so provably didn't suffer any noise. I also didn't like the fact the sheets were slightly loose so they moved with me when turning over which wouldn't be my personal preference. That said, the room was spacious. It really needs more plug sockets, though!
The staff can't do enough for you round the pool and especially the staff at the lobby bar and the adult pool bar.
The food in the al a carte restaurants is out of this world amazing. Beautiful. We especially loved the Japanese and the Lebanese. Couldn't fault it. Best food I've had in an all-inclusive outside the carribean. Lunch in the snack bar by the sea was always a treat.
The grounds are stunning, clean, and so well looked after. It truly is a very special resort and we felt so chilled and lucky walking around the beautiful resort and gardens.
The one thing that knocked one star off my review was the buffet restaurant. Day one walking in for breakfast. There were no glasses near the water/ juices, and then confronted with moussaka/apple crumble/creamed potato as breakfast options was a tad off putting but maybe people like that. The scrambled eggs were so wet they were off-putting. The bread rolls were super sweet. The freshly baked sourdough was the star of the show, but only saw that once! It was chaos some mornings. Some mornings staff would offer tea/coffee others they wouldn't. They were slow setting cutlery on tables outside often waiting until they'd made x amount of settings then wandering round rather than setting up 2/3 tables at a time that was needed. This all being said if you like sweet choices the pastry and fruit section was immense!! You can easily find something to eat so definitely wouldn't go hungry. I would say get a better system in the buffet restaurant and upgrade the sliding doors in that block, and it would easily be 5 stars. Will definitely return.

We stayed here for a week in January and it was amazing. The hotel and grounds are immaculate, food is diverse and the service is excellent. All pools are heated but we preferred the main pool - mainly because of its size, location and the lovely pool staff. The only thing you have to do here is relax ❤️ Main restaurant - Food is good. Buffet is diverse enough so you don’t get bored, of course you cannot like everything but we always found something nice to eat. The only negative thing here is that the drinks service is very slow (unlike anywhere else in the hotel) . But you can go and ask for a drink from the bar inside the restaurant. We opted for just eating our meal and then going to the lobby bar / pool (in case it was lunch) for drinks. A la carte Lunch (Amoura) - Tasty stuff. On the first day I had the crispy chicken sandwich which came as a crispy wrap. On another day it was in a hotdog bun. Both were delicious but we noticed there is a lack in consistency for some dishes. This was communicated to concierge. A la carte dinners - Winners: Hama, La Maison - outstanding food that you rarely see in an All Inclusive. Sanafir and Amoura were also good (leek soup in Sanafir is bomb) - but overall these two did not impress us. Drinks - Local wine is very good - especially the rosé. Also loved the Prosecco and beer. Room - Spacious and cleaned every day no exception. Pool towel change is really not a problem (saw some guests complaining) - they bring clean towels every day in your room (around 5pm in our case. But even if they don’t you can ask pool staff for towels.
All in all we would return here. We have been to many 5 star resorts and this one is certainly in the top 3. Remember to tip the staff (1 dollar), they deserve it and will go extra mile to make you feel pampered.
Thank you for the amazing stay ❤️

I wanted to dedicate time to write a full detailed review of the hotel.
I booked having no expectations that the hotel will meet 5 star standards and I was pleasantly surprised that they went above and beyond to meet a true 5* experience.
Food/ All Inclusive at Buffet: A wide variety of options presented well and catering for all tastes/ allergies. I even noticed there were gluten free options. Live cooking stations preparing eggs/ fries/ meats depending on meal time. The chefs/ executive chef would oversee the buffet all the time and ensure nothing was missing. They would recommend dishes and it was made so full of love and passion that each recommendation I didn't turn away and I am glad I did not because it tasted delicious. Lovely chefs and great service during meal time.
Option to dine at 5 of the A La Carte restaurants: I tried all 5 Limoni (Italian) Amoura (Lebanese) La Maison (Mediterranean) Hama (Japanese) Sanafir (Seafood)
All had great service and options included most of the menu except lobster. They were beautifully presented and great portion sizes. Only kids menu were repetitive and not great but the kids could choose from main menu so that was never a problem.
Poolside bar with snacks at Al Maza Bar was good with burger/ wrap options. They served drinks and ice cream from here too which was always great.
Pool: Our room was by the secondary pool lots of activities with the Magic Adventures team doing aqua gym/ volleyball etc. Really spacious.
Kids Club: They offered activities everyday and were pleasant in dealing with the children.
Overall Service: The guest relations staff were exceptional. Vita, Nada and Sabrina always on hand to help with reservations/ kids activities and any questions we had. They would come around asking if we had any issues/ complaints/ comments a service that I have not got from any other 5 star hotel I have been too. By the pool staff would come round with refreshing wet mint small towels to cool off, gave out cucumber to soothe/ relax the eyes, offered to clean sunglasses. It was lovely to see them taking care of such details. Cleanliness of the rooms were very good and of the hotel in general. The billiards room was checked everyday to ensure no equipment was missing and everything was present in it's correct place. I loved seeing such attention to detail from management and the hotel. All in all I was very impressed with the hotel and the great service. Would I go back again, for sure. Would I recommend, for sure!

Stayed here for one week and have already booked to go back next year. Takes approx 30 mins in taxi from airport. On arrival to this hotel my impression was wow. Most hotels in Egypt are big and this didn’t disappoint. Set on a sandy beach with jetty’s to sea the coral etc. the red flag was out throughout our visit so we didn’t get to swim or see the fish. Room service every day, a little disappointed that we didn’t get animals made out of towels as we have done in many Egyptian hotels before. There are multiple gorgeous large pools to chose from with one being an adult only. Cabanas at both the beach and pools to use. There was even a man walking round cleaning your sunglasses and spraying you with water to cool you down if you wanted On arrival the hotel looks huge but it doesn’t take long to work your way around and remember where everything is. Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner but you also get a choice to book one of their specialty restaurants for dinner if you fancy a change. There are lunch places where you can eat at if you don’t fancy the buffet. A couple of bars to drink in the evening, one with live singers and even karaoke some nights. At this hotel is in nabq bay it isn’t as busy as naama bay but still a few shops and restaurants to eat in if you fancy a change (hard rock being one of them) WiFi good and free Free mini bar which was restocked daily. Free Aircon We had a swim up room and only used it once so unless it’s something you are going to use daily I wouldn’t spend the extra. Room had 2 double beds. Tv, plenty of wardrobe and draw space The fact I have already rebooked should tell you everything you need to know.

We enjoyed a week of winter sun here in a ground floor room with a small patio. Service was impeccable, our room well cared for, and there was plenty of space around the many pools, most loungers with drapes and curtains for privacy and hiding from the sun. On the beach, staff set up loungers and umbrellas for us and offered drinks. There are also large curtained cabanas perfect for families or a group. We ate dinner at several specialty restaurants with our all-inclusive package, notably you could also have lunches at some. The main buffet restaurant excelled at pastries and breads, of which there was amazing variety every day. There was enough variety to suit most international palates, though the dinners were better at the specialty restaurants. Endless fresh mint tea as well as the usual drinks. Alcoholic drinks seemed well supplied - I had a couple of delicious cocktails but can't vouch for wine/beer as did not try them. Unlike some Sharm resorts, this newish area doesn't have snorkelling right off the beach - there's a looooong jetty and then you descend a ladder to swim/snorkel. But the guys in golf buggies will take you there if you don't fancy walking! Staff are all very helpful and attentive. Recommended.

Arrived on 3rd January and the hotel was not very busy after the Xmas and New Year rush. As our holiday progressed, there were more staff than guests. What a wonderful time of year to visit! We practically had the whole resort to ourselves.
We arranged a private taxi transfer to and from the airport directly through the hotel. It was very efficient and only cost 41 US dollars
We always visit Egypt in January or February as it is not too hot but the weather is reliably very warm, sunny although a bit windy, which suits us.
The hotel was immaculate, very clean and tidy. The jetty was a great experience especially on the not so windy days where the extensive colourful fish species were easily seen without even having to get wet!
Food was good, especially in the a la carte restaurants and at no extra cost is fantastic. All beers were bottled and good. The wine was ok, particularly the red merlot, altho the local spirits were only passable.
We booked a family room so that we had a room with two separate areas so I didn't disturb my husband too much with my snoring. This was very good with a large bathroom with 2 basins, a bath, a separate shower, and a separate toilet and bidet. The balcony was a reasonable size and overlooked the first pool area. The minibar was included and had beers, wines, soft drinks, crisps, nuts and biscuits which were refilled as necessary.
The staff were all extremely friendly, helpful and provided a great service, they were a credit to the hotel.
Would we return? Without a doubt, wish we were still there 😭

Really enjoyed our weeks stay at Steigenberger Alcazar, It was my 3rd time visiting Sharm, but my 1st time at this hotel. I loved it that much, I have booked to come back again next year in April.
Check in was smooth, we were seated and offered a choice of drinks. We were taken to our rooms via buggy by Yousry who's such a friendly and funny man, who always went out of his way to make sure we were okay while here, definitely a credit to the hotel.
We also enjoyed all food available, including the buffet, a la carte restaurants and snack bars. There was plenty of choice, and service was top quality. Special thanks to Ibrahim from the Zohreya buffet restaurant, who made sure we had the same table available for breakfast and tea if we weren't eating elsewhere in the hotel, he made our stay extra special.
Our rooms were kept spotless and necessities were always provided, thank you to Mohammed for his hard work during our stay.
I couldn't fault a single member of staff, everywhere we went from the restaurants, bars and adults only pool, service was provided with a smile. This made us feel more relaxed and were able to enjoy our holiday more, this is why I'll be returning next year.
The spa was also amazing as well, staff were great and approachable and the treatments were very relaxing. We also used the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi, which is provided for free for 1 hour (all inclusive), this was brilliant, especially after having one too many wines the night previous haha.
Also wanted to say how good the hotels taxi service is, you do pay a bit extra than what you would if you used an external taxi service, however you pay for what you get. All drivers were very friendly, and told us when and where is best to go. You can contact them on Whatsapp whenever you're ready to be picked up again, which was really handy.
There's so much more I could praise, and I can't wait to return next year in April, see you soon.

We have just returned from a Christmas and New Year stay at the Steigenberger Alcazar in Sharm and I have to say that it was one of our best holidays ever. The hotel looks very impressive when you approach for the first time, security is good, and the staff immediately took care of our luggage. Check in was relaxing and simple, with welcoming drinks and cooling hand towels. There are golf buggies to get you to your room which in our case was a ground floor room in block 6. The room was spacious, with a queen size bed, dressing gowns, slippers, plenty of drawer and wardrobe space, tea, coffee, snacks, mini bar, well equipped bathroom, walk in shower, bath, bidet and large hand basin area with plenty of space for your own toiletries. Shampoo, conditioner, soap and shower gel all supplied. Our male housekeeper, Adel, was so helpful and attentive, albeit we really didn’t need anything. All restaurants serve very well presented and tasty food, our favourite was Sanafir, the seafood restaurant, down by the sea. Whilst this restaurant specialises in fish, my husband ordered the fillet mignon every time and was never disappointed. The staff are exceptional, charming, polite, their English far surpasses my Arabic 😂. We found that taking USD one dollar notes allowed us to tip regularly and often and whilst tipping was never expected we felt that it was good to show our appreciation and we were certainly looked after wherever we went. The three pools are heated and rarely busy, sun beds were always available. The entertainment teams also provided yoga lessons, water aerobics, table tennis, football pitch, boules, children’s entertainment and the hotel pier enabled us to endeavour to do our 10K steps a day, the fish we saw were colourful and quite plentiful. There is also a path by Sanafir which would enable you to walk along the back of many of the other hotels too, security at each location let you through but obviously not into the grounds of neighbouring properties. Evening entertainment was available, both on the terrace and in Amoura restaurant, and with the shows in the theatre there was always something to watch or listen to. One of the highlights of our holiday was the New Year’s Eve party. It was so well organised, great entertainment and the staff also joined in the fun and made the evening something we will never forget, top marks to all staff involved,it was a triumph. We were often asked by guest relations staff, restaurant management and the culinary director if everything was to our satisfaction and without doubt everything always was. We will certainly consider this hotel for a revisit.
