Parrotel Lagoon Resort offers a lively atmosphere, brimming with nightly entertainment and kid-friendly activities, though the poolside music may not be everyone's taste. While its location is appreciated for convenience, some guests suggest it's a bit out of the way. Accommodations receive mixed reviews; some guests praise the spaciousness and service, while others raise concerns about cleanliness and pests.
The resort's amenities, including a water park, are generally well-regarded, but the value proposition is questioned by travelers who point to additional costs and cleanliness issues. Staff members are often commended for their responsiveness, despite occasional lapses in service consistency.

The hotel as a whole is not bad, of course the renovation is a bit old, but, in general, it’s not critical. There is a road to the sea through the construction site for about 15-20 minutes on foot. The reefs on the beach are simply wonderful, very colorful, there are a lot of different fish. There are restrictions on using the beach. The hotel has its own small area on the beach and its own bar, but, in general, there is always enough space. The food at the hotel is good, sometimes the dishes are repeated day after day, but most of the food is very tasty, there are a lot of different vegetables and fruits, barbecue for dinner. There are no queues for food, there is enough for everyone. The hotel room is not new, but overall it is decent, everything works. The room has a hairdryer, safe, air conditioning, water is always replenished, but there are questions about cleaning, as it turned out, the towels were not changed every day, but only the old ones were carefully folded, the same with the bed linen. However, for a good room you still need to pay extra at the reception, they offered a better room for 30 dollars with a discount, but in the end they negotiated for 20. My friends did not pay extra for the room and were unhappy with it, they still had to pay extra for a better room. A little dusty in the room. The animation is interesting. There are always interesting shows in the evening, dancing, yoga, aqua aerobics in the morning. Nice water park at the hotel. 9 large slides, very good, and children's slides and pools. In general, the impressions from the lost time are positive, we liked it) The price and quality correspond.

We really enjoyed our stay at parrotel, they was me, my husband and 3 children, all the staff was amazing and great with the children, the room was lovely every day the cleaners came in made the beds and made towel figures on our bed, we had a jacuzzi in our room and the bubbles stopped working my husband rang reception and they sent some one straight up to fix it, all the staff was really helpful and kind, the man that did massages was brilliant with the children always coming to talk to them and making them laugh my kids loved him! They was entertainment on every evening which the kids loved! The food was nice the children always found something that they could eat so it was never a problem for us, Mohammed sorted us a day trip out to the White Island and we absolutely loved it! The kids loved scuba diving and seeing all the beautiful coral and fish. Hady at reception was always so kind and helpful and was doing everything to help make our stay even better! The only issue we had was mosquitoes but the staff sprayed the room every day and they had mosquito plug in’s in the rooms, just guess it’s one of those things.

A pleasant place, despite the obvious disadvantages of a holiday in Egypt. The room is very spacious, when we arrived it was dirty, but after one request they quickly washed everything and brought slippers, a robe and an individual bath set. Food - of course, there is not much choice, but the main dishes at dinner are always delicious. Of course, we can’t help but say something about the animators! Active guys, very friendly, it’s a pleasure to spend time with them. The hotel has a poor occupancy rate, but the territory is huge, although there is a small patch on the beach, all one and a half vacationers did not interfere with each other)
P.S. I don’t recommend going to an Ala-carte restaurant, even if it’s free once))

Reading the reviews, it's all kind of cool. That's where she went based on those reviews. But she was disappointed from the start. Yes, the hotel is big, and the water park is good, and the food is normal, no ah, but you won't stay hungry, the pastries are delicious. Other than that; The hotel is very dirty - the corridors do not wash them, the rooms - in 10 days did not wash at all 3 times until they went to the reception to swear, and if they only wash the bathroom and the passage, the towels were changed only 4 times, and other than that will fold the ones used, there are no slippers in the room, and the floors are really cold, the bathroom facilities were given only 4 times. It's about the rooms. Street tables and chairs don't wipe, sitting's not nice. The beach is a different story; you don't swim there, you walk ankle-deep in water, there's corals and reefs around, you sit in the water, and then you go. Yes, they drive to the beach regularly, but we come for the water, don't we? Animation is practically non-existent, with children will dance 4 dances, the same music and movements, for adults no dancing entertainment. There are mosquitoes and flies around , it is impossible to sit outside. As soon as we arrived, we asked for money for a room, like by the pool, we said no, and the rooms we were given were really dirty, and the bed was really dirty, we went to change rooms when we asked how much extra we had to pay for a pool room, we were asked for $10 a day. We refused and went looking for better rooms, found them. In short, the hotel considers itself 5 stars, but in reality between 3 and 4. Disappointed.

Long story,short.... hotel is max 3stars. Rooms needs refurbishment, we had jacuzzi in our room- it is only a tiny bath in our bathroom with holls 😅😅😅 when you turn it on it makes such big noise that you dont wanna use it again. Family of 4 used to share maximum 3 towels every day. If I call reception and say we need more towels, they bring one day and another day take away leaving again 2 or 3.... nobody cleans the dust or floor all week only make beds and take rubish(even if you leave money for them in room) the only good thing is comfy beds-nothing else. Food is ok. Could be bigger varieties, mainly something hot of chicken ,beef or fish. Staff barely talk english but in every step requires tips. Tips for anything.....Italian a la carte restaurant is some kind of joke😅 better had dinner in main restaurant because food was cold, some stuff been brought from main restaurant -like soup or drinks. And nothing tasted italian at all. We were 11 people in hotel and all agree that this place not worth the money, we were going out every single day because no entertaiment for visitors. Same one zumba dance everyday, same music in the evening..... drinks all tastes bad coz their local spirits got that strange smell and taste.... in lobby toilets never toilet paper.....could possibly add more .... have only picture from italian restaurant.... not even single picture in hotel....

Well lets start with the positives! The weather was fantastic and the location was as described with an excellent pool area. The down side was the all inclusive food and drink. On arrival we requested four G&T’s, the tonic was at last Schweppes but the Gin tasted of chemicals and nothing else. I was fortunate to meet with the Bar Manager the next morning and he explained as an Egyptian,he, like all the staff don’t drink alcohol so he couldn’t comment on the standard. No help there then. The food was basically a long queue for eggs/omelette at breakfast and at diner a similar queue for any meat for main course which has to be said was of a questionable quality. I became a big fan of the salad bar. There is an Italian Restaurant which as guests we are allowed one visit per week. We booked in for our penultimate evening hoping to round off the week with at least one decent meal. Our hopes were dashed when we noticed on arrival all the staff, waiting and cooking were from the main restaurant! I mean what else should we have expected. The so called beef fillet was from some other part of the beast, accompanied by the watery mash potato and overcooked courgettes. All I will say this might have been 5 star once upon a time but not this week! The cleanliness was very poor. The public Toilets were not regularly cleaned, in fact the toilets in the Piano Bar were not cleaned once in all the time we were there. I absolute hate having to write this because it seems Im exaggerating, but unfortunately Im not. The whole experience was not helped by the amount of rude, lets say Eastern Block guests that frequent Sharm el Sheik and especially the Parrotel Lagoon. Im sorry we will not return.

My husband and I were on vacation from 10/9-16/2023, the food was monotonous, not tasty, not enough meat, the service was also 3, we could sit and wait for the cutlery for 10 minutes, bars are a different story, when you ask for an alcoholic cocktail, they pour you one without alcohol and say that it’s there, everyone wants a tip, bartenders don’t pour normally without a tip, basically all drinks are in 0.2 cups, there are not enough glass glasses. The staff doesn’t know Russian from the word sovesm, there are a lot of Arabs staying in the hotel itself, of course they are held in high esteem, they give us 1 piece of meat for 5-6. The animators invited us to a disco in the club for $20 per person, they said that 1 drink was included for free, and at the bar drinks in the club were $5, for a total of $13 one cocktail, they also said that we were leaving at 23:00, we stood waiting for more animators hours, as a result, we were at the club only at 00:30, and the bus back was already at 2:30, in general, wasted money and a spoiled mood. In the hotel itself, the animation is nothing to write home about, BORING. They wanted to wash things (for a fee) at the reception, they said wait in the room, an employee will come and pick up the things and they will be ready on the same day, as a result, we sat in the room for 1.5 hours and no one came, I called the reception, they said the employee was already on his way, but In the end, they carried all the things themselves and, of course, they gave them to us only the next day. We ordered a taxi from the hotel in both directions for a walk to Naama Bay, when asked how long to wait for a taxi back, they said that there would be no wait for the taxi to wait for you, in the end we waited 20 minutes. The only positive thing is that the pool was clean and our room was cleaned. The hotel is not worth this money. If you don’t want to ruin your vacation, don’t go to this hotel!

Don't book this hotel, it is Filthy and the food quality and choice is horrendous. The hotel needs a full refurb. The only plus points are the pools and the the majority of the staff are friendly.
We booked a family holiday at Parrotel Lagoon Resort listed as a '5* luxury resort' in Sharm el Sheikh through Loveholidays and it was the worst all inclusive I've ever encountered, I can only assume that Loveholidays have never visited this hotel. It was constantly filthy with only minimal effort to clear tables, no detergents were used to actually clean anything placemats ans table still had crumbs and food stains from previous occupants. I paid for a deluxe room with Jacuzzi which was actually an old grotty Jacuzzi bath with stained jets which was unusable unless you like bathing in brown water, once the jets are turned on you couldn't hear yourself due to the horrendous noise. I witnessed staff on multiple occasions use the toilets and then go straight back to the canteen without washing hands. collected glasses were just placed under a running tap and then re-used to serve to the next customer resulting in many drinks containing foreign objects, for some reason I can't add photos. I was served the contents of a beer drip tray (A metal tumbler collecting the beer drips) which was poured into my glass and then topped up from the pump! No wine until after 6pm apart from at lunch time in the restaurant and for some reason this was pre-mixed with soda water or something else fizzy and served from an emptied pop bottle? The food was atrocious, Same dishes every day, flavorless pasta with no sauces or cheeses for topping, very little meat choices, bread rolls but no cheeses or butter at main meal times however the worst bit for us was the serious lack of hygienic practices which meant we were ill from day two, Tables were cleared eventually but at no point did place mats get changed wiped down. It got that bad that we ended up eating out or ordering food in like the majority or other guest's. I ate more McDonalds in two weeks than I had in the last three years! Honestly not what I expected when I spent £6300 on what should have been a nice family holiday. I seriously advise you to book elsewhere if you value hygiene and food quality.

I don’t even know where to start with the stay we had with this place, we have had so many ups and downs throughout the holiday that by the end of it I was just glad to be coming home which is really sad.
When we first arrived the staff immediately helped with our luggage, checked us in and took us to our rooms (we had a deluxe double and a family room).
On first impressions you could see the rooms had been cleaned just not to a high standard you’d expect. We found bottle tops in the bath and shower from the free toiletries and some of our towels had stains on them. Spoke to the cleaners and they happily sorted this out for us. The rooms need some updating, they are looking tired and rundown, also around the base of the toilets we noticed they leaked and left big pools of water around them each day which became very annoying, WiFi in the rooms isn’t great some days it works fine and other you cannot connect at all despite the various different WiFi names that come up, we noticed throughout our stay it would work late in the evening and throughout the night but during the day you’d struggle to get a connection and would have to go down the reception if you needed to do anything.
We spent numerous days by the pool to the left of the hotel where both Mohammed’s looked after us and the kids throughout our stay and made us really feel welcomed. They truly are a credit to the hotel!!!
With regards to food, we gave nearly everything a go and the food was always cooked and full of flavour, the downfall was it was always the same sort of things and nothing really changed from day to day. The staff in the restaurants were always kind and helpful whenever we needed anything. A massive shoutout to Hasham who personally asked the chefs to cook something for our youngest who decided to be really fussy on one particular day🙄 and refuse to eat anything. Hasham went above and beyond for my little one and we are entirely grateful for that.
The hotel has entertainment every night with a kids disco first, the kids loved this and got involved nearly every night. It’s the same every week which if you’re going longer than 1 week it can become repetitive but we still enjoyed the atmosphere.
We spent a couple of days at the waterpark which is great the kids had an amazing time however to get to the waterpark you go past so many abandoned buildings which makes the place looks awful
The only major downfall for our holiday which was the thing that made us glad we were coming home was the fact that there are people within the hotel (which staff also admitted) that think it is ok to just take other people’s towels and belongings. This happened on multiple occasions for us with someone trying to take our belongings with us sat with them. The staff really did try to help but after the first occasion it just caused stress which we didn’t want or need on a holiday.

Everything is fine! The children are delighted! The water park is great! The hotel area is large, well-groomed, the pools are constantly cleaned, and several lifeguards watch over the children. Every day there were animation programs, there was a Kandy show, an Aquaman show during the day, and then also in the evenings. The food is excellent, varied, I especially liked that there are always several types of meat, delicious cheeses, and sweets. All the staff are very friendly, much better than in Turkey. But be careful, the sun is very active! Take care of yourself, use sunscreen. The rooms are large, beautiful, the bathroom has a separate shower and bath, the cleaning is good every day. There are a few mosquitoes, but the territory and rooms are treated against them every day, and they don’t bother us much.
