Absolutely beautiful hotel we loved our room which was kept very clean and comfortable by our cleaner who was lovely. It's in a very good location you can walk to the shops there is a free bus that will take you and bring you back from the beach if the walk through the hotel grounds was too much for you. The shops in the hotel stayed open until midnight which is great I've never known it in any other hotel I have stayed in so you can get something in an emergency if required. The towel guy would always come and sort your sun bed out for you and the umbrella should you need it. Unfortunately my husband drinks larger and they only serve this from bottles which meant it was warm pouring it into whatever glass is available at the time weather it be plastic or glass and yes this is in the evening to. I drink red wine however the wine served was horrible to me so I had to drink something else again served in any glass available. our only other negative was that the hairdryer in our bathroom burnt out as it smelt glowed red but wasn't blowing anything out so I unplugged it. You had to phone reception,we were told by reception staff when asked how to set the safe up, so I called reception to report it on the Friday around 5pm and was simply told 'i will send someone' we waited until 7.15 no one came so we left to go and get dinner, by the time I checked out of the room on Monday morning around 11 no one had still been to rectify this. From a 5 star hotel I would of expected better service than this for a fault reported. Despite this issue and the warm beer we have said we would return to this hotel at sometime as the staff we really nice the food was good and it was clean.

Everything is fine except reception manager Ali Ahdi. Tried to sell the room for more than $20, and when we refused to get angry and swear, started complaining and saying we were wasting his time. It's strange, because first a person needs to be shown all the options and then they can decide which number to choose. And he only showed the surcharge plates and says, "Choose. A resentful person took offense at the simplest of rejections.
Like we weren't tired after a long flight)

Next, when I was renewing the room I paid for the renewal with a card. The money was debited, but the machine said it couldn't print the check. I show you that the payment has gone through, and he says, no, it's a hoax, we need to reattach the card. I don't understand if he thinks I'm stupid or what) I show how the amount was written off and that it's their problem that the check didn't come out. I ended up shoving something under my nose saying it was a hoax, didn't want to take a photo of my phone (where the payment is shown on the screen). Third point: on the day of departure, we packed all the things and left them in the room so that the people in charge of the luggage could pick them up and go to the beach themselves. Returned a little after the time of the eviction, and here it came) It was as if I had broken his car, started to resent him loudly, loudly clicking on the keyboard and buttons, in general as soon as I could show my incompetent nature. Okay, a little later they gave the room card, but we thought they would pick up the luggage themselves (since they brought it to the room on the first day). That's the kind of trifle that made me react like a teenager with an influx of hormones.

Other than that, everything's fine. A man named Goma cleans the room perfectly, the food is delicious, the guys in the restaurant really, really love their job, always help and communicate. I wasn't sorry to tip them, even though they didn't hint.

Another point is the heated pool. In fact, the water was less comfortable only on the very last day. Until then, they always hang up noodles that the water will be warm at that time. So it's a shame that it didn't work out how to shop there normally.

Anyway, drive quietly, but avoid this Ali. Man, you work directly with people, is it so hard to act normal and not ruin the mood of the guests?

Fantastic hotel with lots of potential... Rooms a little dated as previous travellers have said, maybe bring your own travel hairdryer as the ones in the room are quiet old and take ages to dry your hair, rooms are cleaned and stocked with fresh water daily the cleaning staff at the rooms are excellent and can not do enough to help. The main restaurant is fantastic themed evenings with a great choice of tasty food the staff in the restaurants are excellent especially Ahmed the cleaner who goes well above his job to ensure guests have everything they need always offering to help. The a la carte is also well worth a visit Heysham and his team give excellent service and the food is plentiful. The main pool is fantastic with all the pool staff working extremely hard to make sure guests have everything they need it is also very clean and well maintained. The garden staff are amazing working so hard in the extreme heat making sure the grounds are well kept. The beach bar for lunch is also full of hard working staff cooking fresh food which is also tasty, burgers pizza pasta sandwiches salad and fruit is on offer between 1 and 3 a credit to the hotel. The beach is a mix of sand and small stones but is beautiful kept with a very warm sea in the afternoons. The only negative throughout our holiday was the bottom pool near the beach, the pool area all the way round the beds is incredibly dirty during our stay I never saw the pool attendant do any cleaning whatsoever, he reserved beds all day long and was always at the bar smoking and drnking, on leaving the area he remained at the bar shouting us over to drop the towels in his basket and collect the cards from him, he was constantly on his phone and on one occasion was actually asleep on the bar, after a few visits to this pool we decided to stay at the main pool, such a shame to have one person let the hotel down, we will return as hopefully these comments will be addressed

The hotel is very clean , efficient and timely service. Staff were friendly and accommodating however communication was an issue regarding drinks. If you like wine , I would advise against booking here and the all inclusive food is average at best.

I say this as a foodie and perhaps my expectations were higher than some. There is a variety of food to eat at breakfast, lunch and dinner however you do need to pay if you want to dine in the other few restaurants , Lebanese , Italian.

It is a short walk to the beach from the hotel and rather pretty . The staff do work very hard and they should be tipped (personally ) for their time and ongoing happy and friendly nature.

The water is shallow and off the piers each pier for each hotel has its own designated swim area that is < 2 meters and for me as a poor swimmer was great .

I would advise excursions , I was dubious about paying for a day package to Cairo to see the pyramids , sphinx, nice lunch by the nile and very well organised from hotel to sham airport - Cairo (1hr flight ) . Approx £250 pp but the egyptionolost Ahmed was fantastic at explaining the history of the ancient museum, pyramids , plus driver and security- my partner dropped her phone near the pyramids and within 30 seconds he had picked up and given back .

We were here for 7 days and would have liked a few more days to Scuba dive .

We did para sail - worth it ,
We did super safari - camels , quad ride and food / belly dance - great experience as a one off

I would advise tipping, cheaper to convert us / sterling into Egyptian once you arrive - don’t change up in uk , bizarre but

Firstly let me say this is an excellent hotel and very good value but a couple of things you should be aware off.
EasyJet holidays originally stated it was a luxury hotel but in truth it’s not. the rooms are tired and need modernisation but are still fine and clean. The hotel by European standards is a good 3+ that said it is excellent the staff every one of them were fantastic. The food was superb for this type of AI could not fault anything in the restaurant and drinks etc were ok the drink menu is limited to local gin brandy tequila rum bottle beer wine and a few basic cocktails
The gardens are lovely well maintained a credit to the hotel the beach is nice but windy in January so avoided it most days there. arentwo other pools one is heated and the staff look after you the hotel was probably only about 30% full and the whole area was quiet which is such a shame the hotel is in a good location opposite la strada mall with a couple of bars and restaurants and next to Hard Rock Cafe overall if you want luxury pay for the Rixos etc if you want a good value hotel thats try’s it’s best with fantastic staff then I would recommend

Just returned from the Aurora Oriental hotel, our family had a good time. The hotel is very clean but basic. The pool area is nice with one slide operating for couple hrs a day. You can get your beach towels at the poolside.

The rooms are cleaned daily, with fresh towels and x2 bottles of water left for you. You can pay extra if you want your fridge stocked with extra drinks in your room. The rooms and hall ways could do with a major upgrade.

The food is nice I felt like there was always something for everyone. Pizza is made freshly, there is a grill outside the main restaurant, serving chicken, steak, fish depending what’s on.
We ordered room service on the night of arrival, we paid £11 for 3 full meals.

The drinks served are ok, cocktails are very basically fruit juice with rum, vodka or gin nothing special. Drinks are served in very small glasses.

Place is an absolute nightmare if you have a pram or are disabled. You can’t get down to the main restaurant from the reception. Became tiring having to take my toddler out the pram to get up/down the stairs

Staff are very friendly and worked very hard to ensure you have a good holiday. Animation was OK, tried to get guest to participate in activities.

Overall good stay for the price we paid. I would return again for a cheap holiday.

We stayed at Aurora Oriental for 7 nights in December and had a perfect holiday from start to finish.

Our rooms opened out to the quiet pool. They were comfortable, spacious and spotlessly cleaned daily by Muhammed, who also made sure we had plenty of water in the room to keep us hydrated.

We were greeted at the pool each day by Osama (Sam) who provided fresh towels and took time to make sure we were settled together comfortably - he is a really nice guy. Sunbeds were plentiful and comfortable.

There was a swim up bar at this pool if you fancied 'cooling down' before taking advantage of the usual all inclusive drink selection or alternatively, Islam would take your orders and kindly bring them directly to your sunbed.

We walked to the beach each day, through the well maintained gardens - occasionally popping into the other pool bars for refreshment, either on our way down, back or both! The beach bar is perfectly located to watch the world go by and also provides snacks at set times during the day.

The hotel has its own snorkling area off a jetty which we used and we also took a speedboat/snorkling excursion from our beach to a shipwreck site beyond the coral. This cost £50 in total and lasted an hour - we were really well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Overall, we can't fault our stay at this hotel. There was a good choice of food for us at each sitting. All inclusive drinks were fine. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly, polite and efficient.

We would definitely recommend and will certainly return. Thank you!

We would like to thank Diana from the Animation Team who worked hard to make sure we felt included in all the activities (darts, boules etc), providing perfect translation for us and our new friends. She is a credit to your team.

We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights at the end of November. One of our party has mobility issues and we soon realised this was not the hotel for them. We had spoken to Easyjet before we arrived and asked for a walk-in shower, they assured us that it had been requested.
Once we arrived we were allocated rooms on the ground floor, but both of our rooms had bath which were unsuitable. We were informed that they hadn’t any rooms available but to return tomorrow and they may have one available. We returned the next day at 1430 and had to wait for over a hour before they said they had a room. (due to an influx of Italians who caused chaos in Reception) It was also on the ground floor, but in an area without a lift. We were also informed that they also had only 4 rooms in the whole hotel that had a walk-in shower. There was also only 1 lift.
The whole site turned out not to be disabled friendly, they had steps to the beach, steps to the pools, all without a rail, 6 steps to the restaurant, this did have a rail.
We always went to one of the quiet pools during the day, the sun loungers were very comfortable and the bar and the towel team were always willing to help. The swimming pool was very cold. You just had to put your feet in and they turned to ice.
There was another quiet pool but it was next to the children’s play area, this pool was heated to a point.
In the evening we always sat in the Lemon with a Twist bar with the lovely Abdo serving. The only issues here were the smell of smoke coming in from the baloney attached to the bar but also the chairs to sit in. Most of them were that low you had to fall into them, then struggle to get out of them, they would also move when you tried to stand up. We were informed that they are going to change these chairs because they are dangerous.
The room with the walk-in shower was 103 but it was also not that good, the shower screen had not been sealed so it leaked, causing the bathroom to be flooded if not careful. As this was a mobility room you had 3 steps to leave the Terrace without a rail. We also had very noisy neighbours and liked to shout in the corridors and bang on doors in the early hours of the morning. These were young Italians who didn’t care who they bothered. I reported this on the 4th day to see if security could help, instead the reception sent the maintenance team to fix my patio door at 2am. I ended up shouting for them to shut up myself (these were Brits and very merry).
This Hotel has changed hands since we were there last. The Restaurant had been updated but the internal entrance had been blocked-up, which is why you had to go in from outside.
The gardens had also been updated, including new steps but the accommodation was very dated and in urgent need of updating, not just with a lick of paint.
I did say I would mention our cleaner Mo, who was very good and helpful when we were locked out of our room on the second day.
This our second time at this Hotel but we will not be going back for the above reasons.

Just returned from a week here for a 70th birthday. Such a lovely hotel the grounds are beautiful and the staff take great care with them.
Only 20minutes from airport and check in was fast we requested 3 rooms close together and got them. The rooms were large and spacious very clean water and tea/coffee was filled every day along with towels, we had some lovely towel art on a couple days and the man who cleaned our room was very polite.
We stayed mainly at the 2 main pools which were very clean and tidy the staff couldn’t do enough for us whether it was placing towels or moving loungers around for us. Snack bar had a good lunch every day which was same as the beach bar. Drinks never ran dry as the bar man was very attentive with just fetching us our drinks before we even asked.
The beach is quite hard to walk on without shoes but we took sea socks so was fine. Nice long jetty out into the sea where we snorkelled and saw some fabulous fish 🐠 went paragliding which was really good at £20.
Drinks menu isn’t very large just lager, wine and basic spirts couple cocktails mixes were very flat at times. Pitstop bar has a charge which isn’t a lot and we always had our last drinks in there at end of night.
Main buffet has a good selection of foods always found something tasty yes it wasn’t piping hot but not cold either. Had a lovely meal in the Italian the steak was cooked to perfection.
The staff here work very hard and always happy to help would definitely recommend and we will return.
Good selection of shops and few bars straight outside hotel went to arabucks a couple nights which was very good.

We went here as a family of 10 July 25th for 2 weeks.
This is one of the best hotels we have been to. The staff are lovely. We didn't meet anyone who wasn't friendly and smiling.
Check in was late as we were delayed but we were promptly checked in and our cases taken to our rooms. There were fruits, meats, bread and cheese out for us.
We stayed in rooms 151, 152, 155 and 4107. All on the ground floor and close enough together.
The pools appear busy at first glance but there were always empty beds when we were there. If you speak to the lifeguard/towel guys they will show you to empty beds.
Ahmed at the quiet pool was a gem. He always helped us with beds, parasols and tables.
The quiet pool bar (sorry don't know names) were always bringing drinks to guests and were happy to fill up our own cups for us.
Food was exceptional. We really enjoyed everything. The chefs, waiters, cleaners in the restaurant were the best we encountered. Chef Ahmed Haredy, Mohammed Galal, Mohammed Ali and a lot of others whose names I can't remember were always attentive and fetched high chairs, drinks etc for you before you even had to ask.

Our cleaner in rooms 151,152,155 was amazing. His name was Elsayed Abd Elhay. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spotless, towels toilet roll always replenished. Beds were often decorated with towel art. The cleaner in room 4107 Mosalam was also very good. We certainly have no complaints.
I can honestly say it is one of the most relaxing holidays we have had. We all enjoyed it from ages 1 to 68.
The taxi in the hotel did start off with a high price but if you negotiate you can get a fair price. He had a good sense of humor and we had a laugh while speaking to him.
We would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend.
