Incredible experience. Very friendly and professional staff. Great accommodation and food. Excellent drivers who made our trip to the desert unforgettable. Special thanks to our drivers Aeadiy and Essam I would very highly recommend the Ahmed Safari Camp to anyone.

A great 2-day/1-night trip to the black and white deserts. A car picked me up promptly in Giza to take me to Bahariya where an excellent driver drove us around the deserts, created a comfortable camp for us and made a terrific evening meal for both meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The trip was marred by the unprofessional behaviour of the main man on site when we were ready to leave. He had an irate argument with the van driver, who was equally irate back, and yelled lengthily at someone over the phone, clearly not happy with the agreed drop-off points. Instead of sending ten happy customers on their way and fixing admin issues afterwards, he wasted ten minutes and made us part of the incompetence of the organisation. The van driver then proceeded to drive away slowly, all the while searching for something in the van and making phone calls. He eventually drove us around the back streets of the area for ages so that he could pick up a key from a lady who brought it to him and to whom he was very rude. Another fifteen minutes delay, as if he didn't care he had a vanload of paying passengers who had buses, trains and planes to catch. He spent the rest of the journey on the phone and looking at his phone, sending messages and scrolling rather than concentrating on driving. At one of the stops, he wandered off so that he could speak loudly and angrily to someone else and continued to have angry conversations en route. An incredibly unpleasant guy.

Great 4 days / two nights in the desert option. Definitely go for this because you get a real feel of the desert and its seclusion, plus plenty of off-road travel. We especially liked that the guide was experienced and kind. We also loved the ever-changing desert scenery and the tranquility. In a word- memorable.

This place is the place to be when you are in Bahariya oasis. The owner Mr Ahmed is one gem of a person. He will make sure at all time that the guests are comfortable and the tours planned for guests are going smoothly and as per schedule. He treats guests like family members. The entire hotel staff is very nice and helpful. They are all perfectionist at their job. The food was always very nice. They were able to make vegan dishes for us and they will always try to serve different food everytime. We love Egyptian food and the food here was beyond our expectations even as a vegan. Amir, the co-ordinator of all tours from cairo was super helpful. What we loved most about the entire team was that they were very punctual for everything. And the service was top notch. Lots of love to Mr Ahmed and Amir. Will come back again.

The hotel is a quiet, exotic place. The staff is welcoming, accommodating and attentive to our needs. Located in the heart of the palm grove, this allowed us to discover the surroundings to the rhythm of Egyptian daily life. The premises are clean and comfortable. An ideal place to experience a relaxing and surprising break. The desert is captivating, the safari offered is magical. THANKS

We went in the oasis from Cairo, the entire tour was organized by Ezz. It was a wonderful experience, by all point of view. The hotel is really beautiful and original, the room really clean. All the guys that work there are amazing, especially Ibrahim. You can see how these people are proud of their land, how they want to show it, how much they care. They also care about guests, they gave us medicine for bad bowel situation. We spent a night in the desert with Hazem, our tour guide, which really hit my heart. After one minute you can tell how much Hazem is in love with his job and with his desert and homeland. He is a real master of driving in the desert and he knows every corner of it indeed. The time we spent together in the desert was amazing, I will never forget the vibes. The driver that took us from Cairo to oasis and back, Mohamed, was really kind and nice, it was a really nice journey thanks to him. The people of this area are the most authentic and genuine I met in 14 days in Egypt.

I never stayed here but did an overnight desert safari. Aediy was our Bedouin guide. He was funny, charismatic and knowledgable. His ability to navigate the desert was so impressive. I loved the music he played and he was always smiling and working hard, despite temperatures around 43 degrees. We had a great time together, swimming in the springs, sandboarding down the dunes, taking funny photos and camping under the stars with delicious food. Thank you Aediy for an amazing trip. Hopefully see you again!

The hotel in Bahariya was good. The amazing thing was the trip with bivouac into the deserts with Bedra, our guide who knows his area as his pocket. We learn a lot with him about desert, mountains, oasis, animals...

We booked a 2 day 1 night desert safari with Magic Carpet tour. Arrived at Ahmed Safari where we were greeted with hot tea, simple but very tasty lunch and a detailed explanation of the trip. Left in a rugged 4×4 land cruiser with Aymed, our bedouin driver and guide. What an out of this world experience!! Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, Tent city, exhilarating drive through sand dunes and down steep mountain sides. Sand boarding (better be in shape for the climb back up). Finished the day with a lovely sunset in a setting that looked like another planet. Freshly cooked hot dinner and fire roasted chicken and a night spent under the stars (or in a tent, your choice). My only wish is that we had time to do another night there. Definitely recommend this company!
