The hotel is an old hacienda of one of the first conquistadores in Ecuador. The rooms and all the other places are really beautiful, equiped with old furniture .. like colonial times never ends ... Food in the restaurant is excellent and the prices very acceptable.

We too stayed here for 1 night as part of the Tren Crucero trip & really enjoyed it. If you want beautiful 5* hotels then you have to stay in the cities stray out into the countryside then expect something different. A large hosteria with rooms down many corridors but the staff where on hand to guide you & it...

The hotel is a treasure trove, so full of old bits and pieces, so lovely. The room was a good size, very clean and the service was good, friendly and efficient . Good food. We would have liked to stay longer but only had the one night there to break a journey. The only thing that we missed is a...

The newly renovated rooms are beautiful, the staff is really friendly and the food delicious. I really recommend the cheese fondue. The only thing they should impove is the buffett breakfast but thats it. Its the perfect place if you are going on the train trip to Nariz del Diablo.

We didn't choose this hotel ourselves but had one night here as part of the Tren Crucero tour. Earlier reviews suggested it would be good but our experience was rather different. First impressions were not good. We arrived when it was nearly dark and had trouble finding our way along their extremely uneven paths and over the wooden bridge across...

Dear guest, Thank you for your comments although we are very disappointed to read and knowing our services were not as you expected to be. I´m very sure some of your comments will help us to improve our services, however some points still need to be cleared up: 1. We always have persons to guide our clients to their room,...

Hostería La Andaluza is an amazing hotel, located in the shadows of Chimborazo volcano. Arriving there on a bus from Quito was so easy. The bus driver stopped the bus for us, and we walked across the street. We were greeted with warm canelazos (a spiced drink popular in the highlands of Ecuador) and taken to our lovely room. The...

I concur with a previous Tren Crucero passenger. Upon 1st arrival you think "wow, this is neat" , but once you have to actually find something (very dark) or use the bathroom (no shelves, towels and the floor is very dangerous). The windows overlook gardens and animals which is quaint, but the old moldy smell is very unpleasant. When we...

We have visited Hosteria La Andaluza 3 times now. The last was on a trip up and back from Cuenca to Otavalo. The Hosteria is super clean and comfortable while retaining an old world feel. Our friend loved cozying up under the comforter! The staff and service is warm and helpful...loved being greeted with a warm canalazo too.The food is...

This was our highlight of Ecuador. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff is the best! We were tired and arrived late after driving from the Colombian border. The room was ready and warm when we arrived and the staff even made sure we were served dinner in the room before the kitchen closed. The breakfast was excellent and had...
