The brick cabins have wood burning stoves which the staff light in the evening and pop hot water bottles in your bed. Dinner was tasty but small portions and a bit too fancy for my taste. Breakfast was individually cooked - not a lot of choice and slow service

We've visited this area twice for Inti Raymi, the summer solistice festival, and stayed at Las Palmeras. It's a very scenic little hacienda about a mile outside the city across the awful Pan American Highway on the small road that goes past the live animal market. It's an oasis with really nice grounds and views of the volcano, a very...

A beautiful Hazienda outside of the city centre of Otavalo. You get a small bungalow with a living room, bedroom and bathroom. There is an open fireplace in the living room which is lit every night around 7p.m. Additionally you get a hot water bottle for the night:) The garden is beautiful and you got a view of the towering...

I stayed here two nights in a room with 3 beds. The hotel grounds are very nice with great views of the mountains. The rooms are well appointed with a nice fire each night to keep the cold out. Beds are comfortable. The main hotel lodge is very nice with old paintings and lots of character. The staff is very...

My wife and I visited Otavalo in July and stayed at Las Palmeras Inn. I highly recommend Las Palmeras. The wonderful hotel is very near Otavalo, just a few minutes drive into the hills to the west. This is an optimal, central location from which to explore all of Imbabura--including Otavalo, Cotacachi, Laguna Cuicocha, Lago San Pablo, and much more....

Beautiful and charming mid-priced hotel with amenities and ambience that seem more high-end. This is a great base from which to explore the beautiful Imbabura province and other parts of Ecuador. Conveniently located in the hills above Otavalo which is the location of one of the largest indigenous markets in South America. It was very easy to catch the bus...

From the time we arrived--until the moment we left, no request was left unmet. The property is stunning. We rented a house for the week. Each night, the staff lit fires in each of our 3 fireplaces. Additionally, we were given hot water bottles for our beds. WOW- Las Palmeras Inn takes customer service to a whole new level. One...

Beautiful haciënda with a lot of pro's: the garden with the lama's, the historical building, the nice restaurant...but there are also some downsides: it is a very, very long walk to the center of Otavalo (to be honest: you need a car), and the rooms are quite basic and dark (altough very clean). And if you don't like to be...

I'm so glad that you enjoyed the garden with the lama's, the historical building, the restaurant but there is no need for a car; local buses (10c per person) leave regularly for Otavalo and elsewhere and Reception can call a cab ($5). Many guests enjoy the downhill walk in particular. Guest room information states that log-fires (and hot-water bottles) are...

I spent a month there this spring and had a great time. The location is gorgeous and the staff and so friendly and helpful. Save some time in your Ecuador trip to visit here! I've stayed in many of the cabins over the years and am never disappointed.
