This is a very nice respite fm the travel grind. There is a nice view overlooking Otavalo and of the surrounding volcanoes. It has a lodge feel. I had a private room with a fireplace, and paid $25 a night. The breakfast, which is included, is good. They also have a menu for lunch and dinner, which is convenient, given...

A great base from which to explore this area with good walking from the doorstep. The views from the front porches are indeed magnificent with Volcanoes Cotacachi to the west and Imabura to the east. Lovely rooms, some with fireplaces, comfy beds, piping hot water and views from all windows. The downstairs restaurant is cosy and relaxed with a fireplace...

We decided to stay out of town to have more of an intimate experiencce. The location of this hotel is a bit far and it cost around 5 us dollars to go back and forth to town. The location is breathtaking. It has amazing views, staff is extremely kind and helpful and the rooms are comfortable. I had an issue...

We stayed three nights at La Luna in January 2016. We had a private room with bathroom and wood burning fireplace. We wanted to be in the vicinity of Otavalo without being in the actual town and Laluna was perfect. The lodge is located in the mountains west of the town about 5 km away on the Mojanda lakes road....

My family and I stayed one night in La Luna and had four meals there. It's a great place for a peaceful night's rest especially when it's not busy. The room was large and spacious with a log fire at night. The food was delicious and filling. The overall cost for the whole stay was amazing value for money.

We have been living in Ecuador for many years and find La Luna to be an excellent getaway from city life. It is cozy, welcoming, and the prices are friendly...we don´t need to have any good excuse to take a weekend there. Just a desire for some quiet surrounded by good people. The clientele is an interesting mix of all...

We spent a weekend and really liked it. The hostel is in a beautiful location, the owners and staff are wonderful and food is great. This is an affordable and easy get away. Highly recommend for families, backpackers and folks looking to get away for a few days.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at la luna for two nights. The view is quite nice from the hostel area (not from the window of our room though), and the hosts were very welcoming. It is quite far from town (4km without a view) and taxis cost 4$ both ways. Also the rooms could be cheaper. When we stayed here...

Service at this hostel was excellent and the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Quaint little rooms and nice central area. The hostel is a bit higher up than the city of Otavalo so it was quieter and made for a perfect launch point for hiking in the area.
