First you have to distinguish between the hostel and the travel agency. The hostel itself is nice and the small pool can be used to refresh in the hot city. The neighbourhood is ok. The travel agency is extremly helpful and offers fair prices if you want to go to the Galapagos islands. The booking was easy and the replies... More

We stayed at DreamKapture twice, either side of our Galápagos trip and found the hostel very convenient. In the dorm, the room does get very warm as Guayaquil is humid but there is a fan. One bed had a locker underneath but the others didn't. There are also only power points on the right side so people sleeping on the... More

I'm only giving a low rating due to a couple of upsets from an all round average hostel. There was nothing major and some stuff outside of their control but definitely room or improvement. Firstly, this hostels neighbour was having a raging party the night we checked in. I'm unsure if they attempted to ask them to turn the music... More

We arrived at night, 2200 hours or so, the street itself in which it is located gave the impression of being seedy. Our room located on the first floor had a broken an A/C and no ventilation or window in the bathroom. After the two of us took cold showers the bathroom was like a rain forest and the bed... More

Me and my 2 year old daughter spent the night in Dreamkapture while visiting a friend in Guayaquil. I was very impressed with everything. From the excellent service, to the very nice air conditioned room, the large comfortable bed, the lovely little swimming pool, and the delicious breakfast. This hostel will be our regular stomping ground whenever we visit Guayaquil.

Ah. The moment you realise you are too backer-y for a backpacker hostel. We have been travelling for about 9 months through central and South America and we are used to private rooms being cheaper than this place. I can only put it down to the fact that people who are not skint backpackers like ourselves stay here for a... More

Arrived early in the morning from Peru to find that my girlfriend (who'd arrived from Colombia) had already been checked into the room. What a pleasure of 2 days on buses. Staff were super friendly and hugely helpful. Loved the breakfast - now that's quality and value for money. Location: located near to some local restaurants and take-aways and also... More

Stayed here after flying from Galapagos before heading into Peru. It was safe and had a good breakfast included in the price. WiFi worked well but the room was very small for 2 people. It served our needs.

Good hostel for a 1 night stopover on route to Montanita/Galapagos. Very good directions from the airport and 24 hour reception is very useful. Bed was comfortable but mosquito nets would be very useful, and it was very hot in the room (I had a room with a fan). Nice free breakfast and very good staff on the reception desk,... More

We only stayed a night after arriving late from the Galápagos. The hostel is fine, secure and clean. Pancakes for breakfast, who could complain about that. There is a small dip pool to chill out in with a beer and hammocks peppered all over the hostel.
