We were very impressed with our guide Gilber. He was so knowledgeable and informative. The food was delicious - they bake their own bread daily and everything is fresh and tasty. and staff were great. we were in a small basic dorm with bunk beds. It was a bit small for us but clean. The rooms were open, but we...

We arrived, after a 2.5 hour boat trip and a 2.5 hour boat ride and were shown to our rooms and told we would be leaving within an hour for our first excursion. The rooms were far less than what we had expected since we were paying the same price as lodges others had visited and told us were very...

Dear guest, Thank you for your comments. Normally, when we have clients that are not satisfied with our services in the Lodge and voice their concerns I go to the Lodge personally to investigate what happened in order to rectify the issues. Great place. Great hosts. Saw over 70 species many from my cabin. The lagoon was arid 4 weeks before i visited but flooding when i did. Fortunatly otherwise the adventure would have been cancelled. Superb location. stunning wildlife. Good food.

We are happy that just from your room you could enjoy observing the fauna of Cuyabeno. This time of the year, often the Laguna Grande has lost a large amount of its water due the lack of rain, however the beauty of the area does't disappear. Thank you for your comments.

A great lodge in an amazing location, directly on La Laguna Grande. The guides, excursions and food were awesome. What makes this lodge special is its setting and its open spaces. My favorite place in the Amazon.

My folks and I just spent 3 nights at Cuyabeno Lodge, and had high expectations arriving at the lodge having read the reviews online extensively. We stayed in the Deluxe Room and found it rather convenient that we could just climb a short flight of steps to the top of the birdwatching tour, where I've spent most of my free...

My daughter, two granddaughters and I took a tour that was organized by Latitud O travel agency in Quito together with the air fares. This was very well explained, very well detailed as what to take and what to expect, thus this was very good. We were picked up at the airport in LagoAgrio by our guide and taken to...

It's an understatement to say that our five-day trip to Cuyabeno Lodge was a bright highlight to our South American adventure! From the moment we arrived in Lago Agrio and met our guide, Guilver, we knew we were in for a treat. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1989, the Cuyabeno Lodge was the first lodge in the park; the owners believed that the rainforest traveler should be accommodated in conditions which would be both in harmony with the surrounding environment and attuned to the needs of the modern visitor. At Neotropic Turis, we, the owners of the Cuyabeno Lodge, are the pioneers in the tourist operation and we built the first Eco friendly lodge in the Cuyabeno National Park. The Cuyabeno Lodge is one of two lodges located right on the lake and one of the few lodges that never gets flooded. We recently built a canopy watch tower and 3 new deluxe rooms. We have 24 hours electricity from solar energy, the only silent electrical motors in the park for excursions and hot showers. ... more   less
