(Written as a backpacker) We stayed at the lode for 4 days/3 nights. We had a fantastic time, the lodge was great and the staff were fantastic. The accommodation was really basic and really neat. For the price I feel like we got a really good deal. Our guide, Gilver was absolutely amazing, he seemed to love his job, the...

Cuyabeno Lodge has provided me with the most exciting adventure in my life! The guide was great, he was very knowledgeable. Food was amazing with vegetarian options. The lodge was completely eco lodge, with solar panels providing the energy. Since it is owned by two naturalist scientists, the focus is on increasing people's knowledge on environment rather than making money....

Just back from the Cuyabeno river jungle, a surreally peaceful world with minimal material stimulation. A fantastic trip! Highlight of the trip was our tour guide, Elvis G., to whom this review was dedicated to. His group consist of our two families, including one senior and four kids ranging from 8 to 10. Elvis was attentive to everyone, answering our...

We just stayed in this lodge in last few days during 2016 Christmas with another family, totally 9 people in our group. We planned this trip since August 2016. The staff Linda and Karla were very very patient with my millions of questions about rain forest. They answered a lot of my questions through emails. The highlight is our guide...

We spent three nights last week at this excellent ecolodge. I had visited the Cuyabeno Lodge a few years ago and my second visit was as rewarding as the first. We were well taken care of and saw 6 types of monkeys, river dolphins, a sloth and a variety of birds. Our two guides, Veronica and Klever spoke excellent English...

The Cuyabeno lodge is one of the older lodges in the area and their experience shows. They ran a very nice operation, providing good service and excellent facilities given the remote location. The setup was ecologically sensitive and they seemed to have a good relationship with the indigenous community. The food was a surprising highlight - very well done (outstanding...

Funny helpful staff, decent clean bedrooms with private bathroom and good food. I reserved four days with the ecolodge Cuyabeno and payed 280$ which included the guide, food and the 3 nights staying. However, not all activities were included. ✅FOOD was excellent. The chef tried to vary the food every day and offered fish or meat. There was always a...

My partner and I had the best experience of our trip around South America here. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1989, the Cuyabeno Lodge was the first lodge in the park; the owners believed that the rainforest traveler should be accommodated in conditions which would be both in harmony with the surrounding environment and attuned to the needs of the modern visitor. At Neotropic Turis, we, the owners of the Cuyabeno Lodge, are the pioneers in the tourist operation and we built the first Eco friendly lodge in the Cuyabeno National Park. The Cuyabeno Lodge is one of two lodges located right on the lake and one of the few lodges that never gets flooded. We recently built a canopy watch tower and 3 new deluxe rooms. We have 24 hours electricity from solar energy, the only silent electrical motors in the park for excursions and hot showers. ... more   less
