Run by Drazenka, a dedicated woman who looks after every possible detail - from towels and room decorations to her food. At her place I have eaten the best breakfast ever! She cooks divine! She looks after you like she is the best mum in the world. And the facilities and the beauty of the place is sooo dreamy! A huge lawn with big old trees, a swing underneath, outdoor seating, her own garden out of which she picks veggies and herbs for the breakfast, her personal approach to each guest. her place is also very eco; with organic food, saving energy system, access for disable, etc. This place is a true gem.
Owner, Draženka Moll is such a sweetheart. During our stay, we really enjoyed all of her personal touches. Throughout our whole vacation down the coast, the most memorable was staying at this Eden in Istria.
What a find. Stayed for 4 nights in one of the apartments, which was split over two levels. The ground floor has a very generous living space and a fully equipped kitchen but it’s the outdoor space that really made it such a great place to stay. Immaculate gardens and very tasteful evening lighting made it an excellent place for a glass of local wine while reading a book or having a pizza from the local pizzeria (delivered to the door). Upstairs, again a generously proportioned bedroom with the most comfortable bed we had in Croatia. Shower in the en-suite has incredible water pressure, truly massage force. Skylight in the ceiling is good for getting fresh air in but there’s also aircon, which we didn’t need. Washing and ironing facilities were also available. Was a novelty to dry my clothes outdoors rather than on an airer. An impressive breakfast awaited every morning, available until 11am. Having black truffle on my scrambled eggs every morning was rather indulgent. Ate way too much but it set us up for a day’s touring. Location is great, convenient to all of Rovinj, Pula, Movotun, Grožnjan and Vodnjan. Don’t be put off my the railway line next door, the train comes once an hour and never stops. Last train is at 2015. But the best part of our stay was our host, Dada. Love this woman. She is the oracle, knows everywhere to go to eat and what to see and offered really warm hospitality to us and the other guests. She is a super woman; don’t know where she gets the energy. She hosted a wedding for 70 people the weekend before we arrived in the historic farmhouse, where you eat breakfast. Got me thinking about popping the question. I have no hesitations in recommending this accommodation and Istria and Croatia in general. Go before everyone else starts doing so.…
We learned about Stancija from our Croatia travel book and decided to stay here while exploring Istria with our rental car. What a wonderful decision that was! Dada's idyllic bed and breakfast ended up being one of the highlights of our two-week trip across Croatia. Once you step inside the gates of the property, you're swept into a magical, dream-like place with endless breakfast spreads and peaceful patios perfect for stargazing. Dada's hospitality is truly unmatched, and we came home longing for the opulent breakfasts that she lovingly hosts each morning. Her recommendations for the area were also spot-on -- we took her suggestions verbatim and had a lovely day exploring Pula, Rovinj, and surrounding smaller towns. If we return to Croatia in the future, we will absolutely stay here again.…
This was an totally unexpected highlight of our 21 day Croatian trip. Our driver had trouble finding this property, understandingly because it is tucked away from the road. There were four of us and each couple had our own spacious apartment that was spotless. We lounged around outside for a few hours, until we were called by Dada for our cooking class. We made our own local kind of pasta, a fish stew, a soup and a salad. So much fun!!!. We drank wine all the while we were preparing dinner. We then sat down and ate a fantastic meal with wine flowing freely. We finished and has a dessert wine and some cognac. Dada believes that the alcohol should flow continuously so everyone feels great and has a good time. In the morning we came to breakfast and the offerings were huge. So many choices and then after filling ourselves, Dada asked if we would like eggs with wild asparagus and truffles. An unforgettable breakfast. We really had nothing planned that day so Dada invited us to a food and wine expo nearby. We arrived and rented a glass for the wine. Yes they refund the rental fee at the end. The expo hall was fill with food vendors and maybe 100 small local wineries. Dada took us around to all of her friends and we sampled food and drank wine for three hours. What a great experience. We returned to the property, and we ordered four pizzas and Dada "plied" us with more wine until we said enough and went to bed. The next morning we once again had a wonderful breakfast. These two days and nights were so memorable. The cooking class, the wines, the food, the apartments and most of all, Dada"s hospitality and friendly attitude made this two days we will never forget. Do not miss this experience in Croatia!!…
