There is no question that the location and Rovinj in particular are captivatingly beautiful. Culinary Rovinj offers excellent restaurants and not only the big tourist temples. The Hotel Monte Mulini is a beautiful hotel, nestled in the wonderful bay in front of Rovinj, which can be easily reached on foot along the beautiful promenade. The staff is friendly, but due to the attention at the pool bar and the extremely weak and unstable WLAN, the aging gym with partly rusty equipment and other small things, it does not quite reach 5 points. Nevertheless we would come back. The whole package with the place Roving just fits.
The setting is absolutely stunning with great views from the rooms. Some days we spent on the beach 🏖 other days lounging around the pool. The Guys & Girls running the Pool Bar are great! very friendly, very helpful, the Hotel pool is superb. Considering we were there during the Covid situation, the Staff were absolutely brilliant and very, very helpful, special call out to a young man Oliver, who was very helpful every morning at Breakfast, which is superb, you order hot food and coffee, which doesn't take long. The Hotel is situated in such a stunning location, the only downside is the fact the balconies are all open on one side to other balconies, one guy on the balcony opposite and above surprised my Wife when he came out in his birthday suit probably his first morning had a bit of a stretch and then went running back inside 😂 I found it funny at least! we will definitely return but we really hope they erect some simple screens to close each balcony so people can sit and relax in private each evening and enjoy the stunning sunsets in peace. The only other downside considering it is 5 Star is no means of making your own coffee, no small kettles and coffee equipment which we found odd and extremely disappointing, these are small downsides so please don't let them put you off, just saying it as it is. On a whole you will not be disappointed it is a great Hotel with lots of amenities and very helpful, friendly Staff. The Bar is stunning, it has an Old Fashioned Ernest Hemingway feel to it, the two female bar staff on the evenings are super friendly and helpful, very nice and suggested some great Gins to us... Monte Mulini has the best access to a sea view and the beach out of all the hotels in the close vicinity so probably the best Hotel for Families who don't want to walk too far burdened down with children and bags. Thank You Monet Mulini, a Great Experience, we will be back next year if you sort the balcony privacy out (simple screen same as the one side already there will suffice) and PLEASE put coffee making equipment in the rooms it's a MUST 😉…
A return visit to our favourite hotel in September and we have already booked to return. What makes this a wonderful experience is the exemplary service from the staff, the lovely surroundings - particularly with the accessible walking and running routes on the doorstep and above all the peace and quiet. We were fortunate in the warm sunny weather and coinciding with the local feast day celebrations over a long weekend. The opening up of the promenade and the showcasing of local talented singers was a welcome treat. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay special and we look forward to meeting you all again during our next stay. Your exemplar service sets the standard that others need to follow.
We visited with 9 year old son for a 5 day break. We upgraded our room to guarantee a view and a well appointed bedroom. Overall we were impressed with the service quality and standard at the hotel. The only shame was the outdoor pool was not heated and there is no waiter bar service from sunbed (this may be a seasonal issue?) The free bike hire was a nice extra as was the use of robes and relaxed feeling this gave the hotel. The indoor pool and spa areas were lovely and not very busy which was nice and my son could splash around while there was no one about. We found the bar lovely and reasonably priced considering the standard of hotel x2 alcoholic drinks and a x1 soft drink approx £16. The ‘chocolate’ night was a lovely addition and our son loved it & We felt welcome in the bar area with him. Breakfast was perfect on the balcony. Really enjoyable. We ate lunch by the pool at the adjoining Lomé hotel. This was ok and again ok value considering the surroundings. One disappointment we had was the tea/coffee situ (lack of!) in the room. Having upgraded I did expect to have this in the room. After 2/3 requests to reception we ended up with a kettle but no cups etc so after this we gave up. I really don’t see why the hotel create an issue over this? The room was an ‘ok’ size for two adults and 1 child but it wasn’t generous. It would not be suitable for an older child. I loved all the Molton brown room treats! …
The most amazing hotel and location, the waiters and waitresses were extremely friendly and curtsies And the concierge jasmina was the most helpful person we have ever met, you could feel she loved her job, nothing was a problem for her And the food, well it was absolutely amazing so fresh and delicious plus there is a national park near by for joggers and push bikes also easy walking distance to old villages our room had a fantastic balcony to just sit and relax and a view you just see in magazines. The bathroom was enormous and the bed was like two double beds stuck together and so comfortable, we stayed two weeks but will definitely go back.
