A historic building in a cobblestone street leading to the church of St Euphemia and steps away from Rovinj's main square has been carefully renovated and transformed into a charming small hotel, where traditional features are combined with up to date facilities to ensure a unique and comfortable stay. The seamless blend of tradition and modernity is accented throughout the hotel, which boasts finely restored antique furniture, centuries old stone walls and exposed beams, as well as wi fi and air conditioning. Sumptuous breakfast is served on the shaded patio behind the hotel and in the stone-paved reception and lounge area; at night this turns into a lounge bar where guests can have a quick drink or sample wines from our small but well-stocked wine cellar and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Our 23 standard rooms, three family rooms and one suite are decorated in tranquil earthy tones, with elegant wrought iron beds, yet each is one of a kind, with hand-picked antique wardrobes and dressers. All rooms have modern en suite bathrooms with bathtubs or showers, air-conditioning and free wi fi.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

We stayed at Hotel Angelo d'Oro for 4 nights in September 2022 and would stay here again in a heartbeat. We arrived to Rovinj via ferry from Venice and were picked up from the ferry terminal in a golf buggy for a short ride back to the hotel. We were warmly greeted by Adriano at Reception who set the benchmark for the exceptional care and help that we experienced during our entire stay by all the staff at Reception. The Reception team answered all our questions with thoughtfulness, and looked up information for us so we could catch local buses to various towns, they booked us into restaurants and went above and beyond with all our queries. Morana was particularly helpful too and clearly loves helping guests. Our room on the top floor and overlooking the water was spacious, well furnished and the bathroom was refreshed daily including mopping of the bathroom floor each day. The Oliva del Mediterraneo toiletries offered were the nicest we experienced during our time in Croatia (staying at 4 other places). The location in old town was perfect for enjoying the old town and was a simple walk to the bus station, boats and markets. The hotel has produced a detailed map including useful restaurant recommendations. The breakfast buffet had a decadent range with lots of different meat, fish, cheese, bread, cereal, salad and fruit options, and desserts. They have a delightful courtyard to enjoy breakfast too. We were extremely impressed by the professionalism but also warm and personable staff - Hotel Angelo d'Oro was our favourite place we stayed at in Croatia.

Right from the start the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location in the old town was quiet and relaxing (the parking lot outside the old city was a challenge to find - don't be shy to call for assistance from the hotel). The old town is easy to walk around with a bell tower at the summit with a spectacular view (beware of the bells ringing while you're up there). The hotel itself was charming with separate lobby sitting room and dining room. The room was clean, spacious and the bathroom had modern furnishings.

We were actually quite nervous to book this hotel from a distance. I thought it might be small, uncomfortable and that the parking would be a pain. I wanted to stay a night in the old Rovinj though, so we took a chance for one night. We wish we had stayed three. The staff was friendly, the parking system took a bit but was good, the breakfast was good and the location could not be beat. When staying in a heritage location like this, there will be some quirks like I had to watch my head in the top floor room with rafters, but that is also part of the charm. We will come back and hopefully stay much longer. This hotel is a great experiece.

Lovely stay at Hotel Angelo d'Oro in Rovinj. We were in a 4th floor apartment accessible only by stairs, but the hotel carried our bags up and down. The stairs were a workout, but we had a lovely view from our room. The location of the hotel is very convenient, and the property is charming with an interior courtyard/terrace where breakfast is served and where guests can relax. Clean room, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The breakfast was also very good.

What a wonderful discovery! We stayed for two nights in the Trevisol Apartment (separate from the hotel by a 15-minute walk), in a third-floor room with a view of the sea and Santa Katarina island. The apartment was comfortable and furnished with everything we might need; it was quiet and centrally located, with lots of restaurants and boat tours just a short stroll away. The only (very minor) drawback was that it lacked a lift, and after full days of walking the hilly streets it was challenging to face an additional 60 or so stairs to our third floor apartment.
The hotel maintains a separate parking lot, and offers free shuttle service between the lot and the hotel properties. The driver met us promptly upon our arrival and ferried us to the apartment, offering a good tour of Rovinj in the process. On the day of our departure the shuttle showed up promptly at the scheduled time to return us to our car.
This was a wonderful base from which to explore the lovely town of Rovinj. I highly recommend it for privacy, value, and location. It's a gem!

Stayed two nights on a biking holiday. Very impressed with this hotel which is in a historic building in the centre of old Rovinj within easy walking distance of all the main bars and restaurants. Lovely helpful staff, outstanding breakfasts and large comfortable room which appeared freshly renovated. Only disadvantage is that, being an old building, soundproofing was poor between rooms, it sounded like elephants were staying in the room above and from our first floor room you could hear the TV in room next door and the music played in the ground floor public areas. Get a top floor room and should be fine. Hotel should avoid playing music given the above.

Located in the heart of the Old Town. A historical and small modern hotel with generous rooms, very comfortable bed and pillows, with modern bathrooms, a great breakfast and friendly staff. We were a family of 7 and had 3 rooms: one family room which comfortably had 4 adults with space to spare and two comfort double rooms, both generous in size. Would highly recommend the hotel, it is a short walk to the ocean and restaurants, beautiful cobblestone street, friendly staff, car parking available off site with a free shuttle service from the car park to the hotel. If we're back in Rovinj we will definitely be staying at Hotel Angelo d'Oro

Very nice and newly renovated hotel that also scores points with its good location. There is a large private car park, from where you can be taken to the hotel with a hassle-free free shuttle service. The staff is generally very friendly. The breakfast is very good and there is plenty of choice. I would spend my vacation in this hotel again at any time.

Unfortunately, I was only there for 3 days for the first time and I don't regret it. Modern rooms, friendly staff and an inner courtyard that invites you to linger. Breakfast varied, a great apple strudel and everything else fresh and varied. The in-house parking spaces are also generous and the pick-up and drop-off service is perfect.

Historical and modern hotel with very nice rooms and great terraces and friendly staff in the city of Rovinj. Only 2 minutes to go to the sea and all the Restaurants. You can take place on the terraces without ordering a drink and just bring your own food.
