The Eden Hotel by Maistra Collection has garnered praise for its serene atmosphere, with guests appreciating the attractive balconies and beautiful pool area. Cleanliness is a highlight, with very clean facilities and rooms often mentioned. While the hotel's amenities, including the large pool and proximity to the beach, are popular, some guests feel the food and evening entertainment fall short.
Service quality appears to vary, and the cost of food and drinks, along with the half-board options, have led to some concerns regarding value. Rooms are typically seen as clean and comfortable, despite being somewhat small for a few travelers. The location near Ravinj and scenic coves is well-liked, but mixed feedback on whether to return suggests that overall experiences may differ.

The hotel had an excellent location, pool was ok but cold. The grounds were fabulous and the availability of loungers was plentiful. The hotel had it own section of beach where the sun loungers were free. The evening entertainment was sparse and there was nowhere to sit inside, 20 seats max. There is a large seating bar which could seat 70 people with a bar and stage but it has not been opened for over a year, very puzzling. The hotel staff were efficient but not particularly friendly or cheerful. I generally found them cold, little attempt at conversation, you feel much more welcome in Greece or Spain. The housekeeping service was excellent, cleaned daily. The buffet was very crowded unless you went in off peak hours, queuing was the norm. The food was Ok in the the main but a bit bland and repetitive, my wife is a vegetarian and there was very little cooked food for her. I found the hotel bar and food prices quite expense $5.80 for a small glass of wine, $7.20 for 500ml of local beer. The location, 20 minutes walk to the beautiful town of Ravinj was excellent, with pretty coves and bays nearly, beautiful. The hotel has its own bike hire hut which was a bonus as the riding is very easy and there are loads of easy paths to use. $30 euros for the day. If asked would I go there again it would be 50/50, they were some excellent aspects location/pool/beach and location to Ravinj, but the lack of evening entertainment/seating and the coldness of the staff coupled with an average very crowded buffet would make me think twice.

The Hotel Eden is set in woods which go down to the Pebble beach. The grounds are immaculate with plenty of sunbeds in the wooded areas just slightly away from the pool. The surrounding area is clean and we did not see any rubbish lying around. The grounds have a children's play area, also you can hire bikes from the sports shack. If you go on one of the Hotels advertised bike or kayak trips these are INCLUDED in the price of your holiday so it is worth booking a trip with them. They also have a daytime activity program, Also within the grounds you have an a la carte restaurant and an open area where they have live evening entertainment if the weather is ok. The pebble beach has lots of sunbeds and sunshades, as does the pool area. We did not see any rush to get these as you do in other places. The beach sunbeds are free to use for hotel guests But other people from other hotels can hire them as do all the other hotels along the front into Rovinj. You can walk all the way to Rovinj which only take 20 / 30 mins . The Reception was welcoming. We did find the female receptionists friendlier, Our room was not ready we still had lunch and found sunbeds in the woods. As we arrived about lunchtime and were tired we plumped for a lunch at the a la carte. The food was really good and the Croatian wine was good, the only thing was the cost. Lunch, wine and bottle of water 60 euros. The price rises are also hitting the Croatians. You would have to look around to find cheaper BUT a lot of the restaurants are the same price. The inside of the Hotel is very well looked after with lots of chrome, glass with black, grey and white walls carpets etc. Our bedroom had a small balcony but size wise was ok, a free safe, comfortable bed, bathroom with walk in shower, good size room with everything you need. Breakfast and Dinner Restaurant was ok, not as many tables for 2, loads for 6+. The food was good with lots of choices and staff were always refilling where needed. There was lots of fresh fruit and different juices as well as the normal styles of breakfast. At dinner you could either pay for the wine and water at the table or put it on your room as was the case with food and drink at the a la carte restaurant. By the pool there is also a snack and ice cream bar .
A word to the wise if you want to use the spa, steam room etc you do have to be naked no clothing allowed. Indoor pool ok.
Would we go to the Hotel Eden again YES ,
We are Glad that we went to Rovinj rather than Pula or Porec as there seemed to be more to do for us.

We have just returned from one week half board at Hotel Eden and are missing it already! The hotel itself is immaculate, I've never stayed in a cleaner space. The grounds are exceedingly well kept and all areas inside and outside are spotless. The cleaning and maintenance team do an excellent job. The room was cleaned and tidied each day and the beds were soooo comfy! Towels were also pristine and fluffy.
The welcome at reception was friendly and informative, and all staff from reception to spa to restaurant and bar are polite, pleasant and helpful.
We spent each day on the beach and the set up was fantastic. Beds are in great condition and most importantly, are comfortable! Each pair of beds has an umbrella which was a god send in 35 degree + heat. The beach bar staff were fabulous and very speedy, however the toilets often had a line and needed toilet paper top up - which is to be expected at a bustling beachside location, so cannot grumble.
There were plenty of options at the restaurant buffet for breakfast and dinner, you'd be extremely hard pressed to not find anything to your liking! Food stations were well managed and regularly topped up. Wait staff were efficient even though they were clearly rushed off their feet - they maintained professionalism.
We had a wonderful massage in the spa and took the guided bike tour through the park - we'd recommend both.
All in all we had a magical time at Hotel Eden and will be back in the future. Thank you!

We had a two week family here and we all loved it! The hotel is modern and clean with a good selection of food at breakfast and dinner buffets. There are a couple of on-site bars/restaurants where you can get an la carte lunch too.
The rooms are comfortable and cleaned promptly each day. We had a lovely walk in shower in our room; some toiletries are provided along with hair dryer, fluffy robes and slippers, which is a nice touch.
The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient and we encountered no issues during our stay.
We made the most of the morning fitness classes (yoga, pilates, SUP yoga) and there are afternoon sessions which are more energetic, plus a well equipped gym. We also hired bikes and e scooters to have a look along the southern coastline.
The hotel is quite strict on people reserving sun loungers, which is really refreshing. Lovely to have hotel towels to use on the loungers too, with the ability to change them often. We never struggled to get loungers, although we were down by 10am each day. I also indulged in the spa and enjoyed two fabulous massages with Monika!
The walk into beautiful Rovinj is only 20 minutes and if you time it for sunset you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular sunset every time. Plenty to do, see and eat in Rovinj if you fancy a change and you can check out the yachts at the Marina on the way!
There is entertainment every night, some acts better than others, but it’s a nice place to sit and relax (ends at 11pm).
My teenagers said they’d like to go back!

Staying at the Eden Hotel was a truly pleasant experience for those who love a sporty and active environment. The sports facilities offered, including well-maintained tennis courts and swimming pools, made the stay very fun and dynamic. Outdoor enthusiasts will find a paradise here.
A strong point of the hotel is certainly the parking. The presence of a large and safe car park made it very convenient to move around the area and explore the surroundings without worrying about parking. This was particularly appreciated, ensuring tranquility and comfort throughout the stay.
In general, I would recommend the Eden Hotel to those looking for an active and sporting holiday, without neglecting comfort and practicality. The combination of a welcoming and inspiring environment together with excellent parking management makes it an excellent choice for travelers looking for a healthy holiday in Rovinj

A great holiday, even though the hotel does not state it caters for disability, I found it very accommodating, there are slopes/ramps if stairs are an issue. The hotel gave me a room with a walk in shower and placed a stool in the shower. The room looked newly renovated and was very clean. The very large pool area is shared with the sister hotel next door. I was not able to use the sun beds as they’re too low but the staff kindly placed a patio chair wherever I wanted, there is plenty of trees and grass areas as well as the umbrellas around the pool for shade. The pool is salt water. The beach (pebbles) and sea is a few hundred yards past the pool. We chose bed and breakfast and pleased we did because we found the evening buffet not to our liking so my friends and I chose to eat at the Oleanders restaurant, which is open air and in the grounds of the hotel, they have a nice variety of meals, we also visited the town of Rovinj for shopping and food, a very small town but has plenty of restaurants. It was approximately a twenty minute walk along the coastline/harbour or a five minute taxi ride. The taxi was less than €10.

Checkin very easy and very friendly staff. Modern double room, nice bathroom, good air conditioning as well as good facilities such as minibar (for a fee), hairdryer, large TV with many German programs, plenty of storage space. Pool area very nicely landscaped with many shade possibilities and lots of park or greenery. There is a poolside bar, a beachside bar and the Oleander restaurant in the middle in between halfway between the pool and the beach. The beach is small and very narrow with close occupancy in terms of sunbeds and umbrellas. The park adjoining the complex/beach is nice for walking, cycling, sunbathing or small hike incl. small beach bar Paradiso which is public or private. The promenade that starts in front of the complex and leads to the port and old town is really very nice. The food is really very good with great choice for every taste both at breakfast and dinner. However, the beverage prices are increased e.g. Aperol Spritz 9€. The guests are colorfully mixed with the majority being nice over 50 or over 60. We really liked it even if we didn't use everything like SPA or massages. There is ample parking which is really not far away on foot.

We had the worst experience ever at this hotel which resulted in us returning home 10 days earlier than we should have done due to the appalling treatment we received from hotel staff. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were noticeably treated differently to other guests. We were not welcomed on arrival, offered help with our luggage and blatantly ignored. The front desk staff were dismissive and rude towards us whilst other guests around us had a much more friendly reception. We continued to experience a frosty reception from other hotel staff in the restaurant, around the pool and at the hotel bar to the extent we found ourselves avoiding interaction. As the only non white family on resort we started to feel very uncomfortable. The behaviour we experienced can only be described as racially driven micro aggressions against my family. We have travelled all over the world but never have we been made to feel as uncomfortable and discriminated against as we did here. I am sad that our two young teenage daughters have had to experience this type of behaviour whilst on holiday and am disappointed that the situation has not been acknowledged or taken seriously by the hotel or TUI (we booked the holiday as a package via them) despite numerous phone calls, e mails and formal complaints being submitted. The whole experience has been extremely upsetting and stressful. This is not OK - as a family we spent a significant amount of money for this holiday which was ruined by the institutional racism of the Maistra hotel group. Something needs to happen to ensure no other family has to go through the experience and behaviour that we were subjected to as a family.

This is a lovely hotel situated in gorgeous surroundings, grounds are beautiful and the Hotel is surrounded by greenery. Very clean, hotel rooms are comfortable, beds and bedding high quality. Hotel is a good 25 minute walk into Rovinj, walk is very flat and by the coast which is pleasant. Breakfast has loads to offer and a good quality, we were Half board and had 1 meal in restaurant which had loads of variety, we personally prefer to eat out on holiday. Hotel is on a lovely beach with its own loungers both on the beach and in the gardens, nice pool area too. Excellent gym, indoor pool with jacuzzi and spa treatments (at extra cost which you would expect). Drinks in the hotel are very expensive in comparison to town but suppose you are a captive audience. 1 down side was the lack of air conditioning, temperature at the moment is over 20 degrees, the hotel decided to turn air con off after a few cooler days last last week, this makes it difficult to sleep, we and others I. The hotel have complained but the staff apparently can’t go anything to help, the heat makes it difficult to sleep. Overall a nice experience and would recommend it x
