Transformed from a place to sleep into a place for dreamers, Hotel Adriatic is an intimate space bringing together curious minded travellers and local art inspired by the hotel's 100 year old heritage - a place where fantasy and reality intertwine.

The hotel is located in the historic / old part of Rovinj. Despite the hotel building being old, the insides are modern and up to date. Modern art is featured in many spaces. The rooms and en-suites are clean, large and attended to by caring room service staff.
Despite no parking on site, the reserved parking is within walking distance, or if you prefer, a golf cart which is a 5 minute ride from the hotel.
Generally the staff are attentive and service oriented which is not always the case in Croatia. Special mention must however be made of Andrea, who went the extra mile each time he was on duty.
The town has many eat out options - which we tried. That said, we agreed that the Brasserie in the hotel for dinner was the best choice. The a la Carte breakfast was fantastic.
Maistra Group has another more spectacular hotel on the hill overlooking the old town (which we also visited) containing almost every luxury you could ask for, but Hotel Adriatic was on the water and amongst all the attractions. Hotel Adriatic comes across as less pretentious even though it does not have all the amenities.
This was my first stay at an Maistra Group hotel. Excellent value for money. Looking forward to a return.

This hotel is an old building but renovated with a modern luxurious interior overlooking the sea front (approx 10m from the shoreline) and yachts. It is located within the car-less old town like most Croatian cities old town. The hotel provides free, locked designated car park outside the town. 30 min before arrival, call the hotel at 00385 5280 3512 informing them you are coming. On google map, just type “Obala palih boraca, Rovinj” which will lead you to a roundabout just before the gantry which is the meeting place. Please park by the road side temporarily until the hotel buggy arrives (within 10 min) and directs you to their locked designated carpark then the staff will help to unload your luggage into the buggy (all the way to the hotel room) and transport the guests to the hotel. Likewise during check out. Waiting time for buggy is pretty fast in Nov. Anyway, the hotel has less than 20 rooms. Lobby is small. Room is beautiful decorated, modern, posh with the best toiletries including 3 perfume fragrance mist for room and bed like a boutique hotel room. Room has a separate living room with a divider between the bed and sofa. WiFi is strong. Complimentary bottle of mineral water and snacks welcome the guests even with a personalized hand written note from the chamber maid. The service is personalized and top notch. You may use the bigger sister hotel (Grand Park Hotel Rovinj by Maistra collection) spa for free which is about 23 min walk but you may ask for a buggy service to transport you there even for fine dining with a view. Restaurant at the Adriatic hotel serves delicious Croatian, French and Mediterranean cuisine and needs reservation for dinner esp. during high season. The duck confit and grilled fish is really good. Highly recommended.
The only down side : during my stay, there was a renovation by the hotel side. It’s unsightly although quiet but it was the last 2 days before the hotel closes until re-opening in spring 2024.

We got off to a bad start sorting out the parking which was probably mostly our fault. See a previous review where they give good instructions of what to do if arriving by car. Wish I'd read that before we arrived!! Parking is a 10 minute buggy ride away and is very secure. Once we'd got over that, we loved every minute of our stay at the Adriatic. Staff are very professional but not at all stuffy. Room was a very good size. Water replenished every day. Personal note from room maid every day too. We'd opted for breakfast to be included in the price and it was extensive and delicious. We ate ours every day out the front the hotel. There is construction work going on next to the hotel but this didn't bother us at all. You can use the facilities at their sister hotel Grand Park which is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute boat ride away. We didn't except to have a drink on the Grand Park's terrace which has spectacular views over Rovinj. We didn't want to leave the Adriatic or Rovinj. Would return to both without hesitation!!

Our first time in Croatia and we chose the Adriatic to look after us, and that is exactly what they did!
The room was spacious and clean. The decor was calm and the art both interesting and a lovely touch. The whole team were helpful, approachable and always available to answer any questions.
Although we were aware of the ability to use the other Maistra hotels nearby, the opportunity to explore some of the islands and the luxury of the Grand Hotel was a massive bonus. The team at the Adriatic were great in arranging the transfers making it simple and easy (although once we found our bearings a pleasant walk to the Grand)
A big thank you to both the hotel restaurant team and room maid service. The breakfasts were delicious and the rooms always cleaned and prepared to welcome us back from our day trips (we loved the little messages left by Mina every day)
Overall, we will be visiting again (after the outside square building work completes) and we both thank you for helping make this a truly memorable holiday

An 18-room luxury boutique hotel located on the seafront in old town Rovinj. We stayed for 3 nights in mid September in room 14 with expansive sea views. The room itself was very large with a segregated seating area, king bed and large modern bathroom with both a freestanding soaking tub as well as a yummy rain shower.
Our room featured a mix of old and modern touches with walls of glass and a stark white interior which contrasts with the halls which are dark (painted black) with modern art installations. The building dates from 1913 but has been brought up to modern standards.
I liked the bed and spacious room as well as the twice daily housekeeping. Towels were big and lush and toiletries of spa caliber.
Breakfast was included in our rate but there’s no buffet-instead you order from a constant somewhat limited menu daily in the first floor space. The hotel is located in a car free zone but they do offer free parking a 5 minute walk just outside the zone and they will shuttle you in an electric golf cart along with your luggage. This was our only challenge with our stay-they could do better at explaining this on their website.
Tip: if using GPS the closest landmark to the dedicated lot if Bar & Cafe Aquarius in Rovinj.
Staff was helpful and friendly. Definitely a great spot from which to explore Rovinj and the surrounding area.

Wanted to give a full 5 stars to this amazing property because the quality of the rooms, service and location is amazing but the massive construction next to the hotel and with the caterpillar excavator starting at 0800 is a real let down. The room we stayed was €500 and for the construction works to disrupt the experience so severely without the hotel giving advance notice beyond a short note on the website that the terrace will be closed due to the construction is not good business ethics. I expected better from the Maistra Collection. Those who booked for the summer should take note. Caveat emptor.
I want to commend the hotel staff especially Andreas who was superb in his service and has the makings of a great hospitality professional. I would hire him for my property.

We enjoyed our stay at hotel Adriatic because you simply can’t beat the location. Roberto at the front desk was very kind and helpful to us throughout our two night stay. We enjoyed eating breakfast outside each morning right in the mix of the action of town. The room we stayed in was big and well appointed. The only things I fault was the room was too hot at night and the bed pillows weren’t the most comfortable - I did not talk to the hotel about either of these things so I really can’t fault them for it. We took the ferry in from Venice and the hotel offered to pick us up, they also gave us a ride to their sister property that we were staying at next. With all that said, I would recommend this hotel. You just have to consider that there’s really no outdoor area to lounge in other than the dinning tables but again, you can’t beat the location.

We arrived at Hotel Adriatic from Trieste,Italy via car & were somewhat apprehensive since this was our first trip to Rovinj. But, everything was outstanding ! Our room was very nice with a view of the Adriatic .Breakfast was included with our room & was “ over the top”…..fresh squeezed OJ,basket of various breads ,plate of fruit , & anything on the breakfast menu. Breakfast was so good we skipped lunch one day. We ate dinner one night on the patio which was great “ people watching “. The food was delicious & reasonably priced; the suggested Croatian wines were also pleasing. On the other dinners we ate at restaurants recommended by the concierge & all were excellent. All of the employees were nice as well of speaking excellent English. Do take the complimentary boat ride to the hotel’s sister resort on an island a few miles away. We spent a few hours exploring on the various walking paths.

We loved everything about this hotel. The size of the hotel was small but our room was quite large (stayed in Piazza room). Our room overlooked the Adriatic and the square. The room was very quiet and the accommodation were beautifully furnished. The front desk was very accommodating providing us towels and tickets to go the beach at St. Andrew’s Island. They had all the extra touches that really indicated their customer service, welcome dessert, parting gift and nighttime cookies. Breakfast was very well done. Don’t hesitate on this one!

Although we had visited Slovenia 5 times, this trip was our first visit to Croatia . After reviewing a number of hotels,we decided to stay in Hotel Adriatic because of its location on the sea & Old Town. What a great surprise ….Hotel Adriatic was fabulous & as was Rovinj .Hotel Adriatic is not large( 14 rooms & 4 suites) ; we had views of the sea & Old Town as well as a very nice room. The hotel has a very nice restaurant with a great view of the marina as well as an outdoor bar area with a view of the marina & Old Town. The included breakfast was one of the best anywhere ,opens at 7 am & runs through 1 pm. One can order anything on an extensive breakfast menu as well as fresh squeezed orange juice.Since we prefer to just have coffee & juice early, we had our coffee & juice at 9 am . Afterwards, we strolled Old Town and the Marina area for over 1 hour for breakfast at 11:30;hence,we did not eat lunch. We ate at the restaurant one night & was not disappointed with an excellent sea bass. At the suggestion of the concierge ,we took the complimentary boat to their sister resort on a small island about 2-3 miles offshore . Since the sister resort has the entire island, there were several nice hiking trails. The resort was obviously very nice plus a well equipped marina with complementary water toys & appeared to be family oriented . Staff was excellent ,spoke good English, & provided superb recommendations for dinner.Great stay with no negatives ….all surprises were good one !

judinewyork,
Regarding access to beaches in Rovinj, all beaches are public beaches – so there are no restrictions. As a guest of Hotel Adriatic you can take a ferry for free to nearby islands of Katarina and St Andrews which are Maistras property and enjoy beaches on them.
Regarding pools, during winter and spring time they are not shared due to COVID-19, in summer they will open again to sister hotels.
Kind regards
It will be nice during the day, but cool at night. I recommend a windbreaker and to dress in layers. Bring an umbrella. You can walk to everything you need. The Hotel arranged our tours, and it was awesome. We drove to Brioni Islands and Pula. October there is no need to book before you go, it is off season.
There are more places to choose from in the Rovinj area.
