We visited the Purelax Mountain Hotel in August for four nights. We had the most relaxing stay thanks to the incredible mountainside scenery, the amazing room, and the wonderful hospitality of the staff. All the rooms are suites and they are HUGE! It’s the biggest suite we’ve ever stayed in and we didn’t want to leave. Each suite has a living room area, a massive balcony with a view of the mountain, a tub with a TV, a walk-in closet, and more. It doesn’t get much better than having coffee on the balcony in the morning with a view of the mountain.
It’s a great hotel to just hang out in and relax. There’s a nice game room and a piano that guests were using quite a bit. We made full use of the facilities and even used the spa which was really good (but a bit expensive). I did feel like there was a lot of space in the hotel that could have been utilized in other ways, but I suppose that’s just nitpicking.
The restaurant was good for breakfast, not great. The best thing on the menu for dinner is the yak hotpot. It was my wife’s birthday and I was scrambling to find a cake. The restaurant originally said they didn’t have any cake, but a member of the staff named Lucy was able to get a birthday cake in time. A special thanks to her for making it an even better stay!

We booked a twin room but got upgraded to deluxe mountain executive room. The staff was super polite and very caring. We did arrive earlier and got early check in! There are so many activities to do, we did tie dye, wa Mao (clay cat) and also went on trekking which was a beautiful experience. Curry was exceptional, he was very patient of us even our daughter was struggling to climb.
The highlight was a paid activity, which is star gazing. Even though it’s in mandarin? The family enjoyed it so much. This hotel is busy but very well run. There is also afternoon lounge for all guest, which they service wine and beer.
Amazing hotel views and care by the hotel staff,

This is one of the most beautiful resort i have ever been to. Service is top notch from serving staff at the breakfast area, your buggy chauffeurs, to the on-duty manager, Galen. The view is breath-taking, the Sunrise scene is Not to be missed. The overall service quality, design & layout of the premise amongst all should have it classified as Park Hyatt instead, to my mind. The hotel's website has both Grand Hyatt Lijiang & Mountain Lodge bundled together though & so i thought they are sort-of nearby to each other but only with a different settings of rooms & Style & views. Hence I had myself booked 1 night at Lijiang and 3 nights at the Mountain Lodge.

This property is 20 minutes away from the city( you will enter the park area) Your views will be at the foot of the mountain making it breathtaking. Even walking from room to spa/lobby/restaurant will be beautiful. However, what puts this property over all other hotels in Lijiang is the exceptional staff. From check in to check out every tiny detail, sometimes even before I made a request, were met. Cindy made sure every day we felt welcomed and were enjoying ourselves- as if we were her personal guests. Housekeeping-the design of the room is beautiful and practical, the cleanliness is outstanding. I have never seen Maintenance fix a TV issue (connection to English channels) faster in any other hotel in any other part of the world. Due to a city wide event we transferred our last night to the Hyatt in the city. Upon leaving we left our wallet in the safe. We did not realise this till we were headed to the airport the next morning. Roads in Lijiang were blocked off by police due to a marathon. I was travelling back to Hong Kong and my id (along with everything else!)was in my wallet making entry far more troublesome. Julia raced to my room upon receiving my desperate phone call for help. She retrieved my wallet in enough time to hand it over to the hotel shuttle staff who were just leaving for the city. The shuttle had to travel out of their way due to road closures to locate my driver. Gratefully my wallet was placed back in my hands. This would not have been possible had Julia not been above standards in her service. The hotel shuttle staff acted outside their typical duties to ensure 1 guest did not have a disastrous return home. So yes, the views are beautiful, but the greatest asset this property has is it's exceptional staff!

Have email to Jojo Qian from Grand Hyatt Lijiang to book for this hotel. Stayed for 3 nights and it's simply amazing. Situated at the foothill of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Lijiang. The one and only 5 star hotel. Hotel consist of 89 rooms only. Assume all rooms face the Snow Mountain. My room 6033 was exactly shown in their website. Booked their Mercedes Viano to fetch us from the airport which takes approximately 1hour and 20 minutes to reach hotel. Stayed at the hotel will provide pass in order to pass through check point at the foothill Jade Snow mountain. Check-in was quick and will provide buggy to drive us to room. Once entered room there is a walk-in closet, living room, bathtub, toilet, bathroom all separated. Coffee nespresso machine provided. They do provide oo long, jasmine tea, earl grey. After finish two jasmine tea bags with no replacement. Did not need to use our international adaptor as the hole exactly fit our charger. Two oxygen tank were placed in room as the hotel is 3100m above sea level whereby air might be thin. Every morning woke up with the excellent view of the snow mountain. Air is simply fresh. Even their only restaurant is facing the snow mountain. The hotel is very big and spacious and hardly see other guests which is an added bonus for the serene environment. Golf course is nearby and hotel will drive us to the golf course. As it was quite windy thus my husband unable to play. Advisable by hotel that during April or May would be suitable as grass will be green. Went to fitness centre they provide a hand rubber lock to be worn on wrist. Inside locker has rubber slippers and bathrobe. Towels and water bottles were everywhere within the fitness vacinity . No swimming pool but there is a heated 4 individual pools. Must inform hotel staff 4 hours before you may use pool as they need to heat up the pool. There is a yoga room facing directly to mountain. Try not to do strenuous exercise on first or second day as the air is thin. Breakfast, lunch and dinner held at the only restaurant. Limited menus and breakfast isn't of vast varieties. As high altitude we do not have great appetite hence fruits and vegetables is sufficient for us. High tea was provided too. Driver pick us up from airport and to Leap Tiger leaping Gorge was very informative. He is a very efficient driver and he would drive with cautious with no speeding. Li Ping conceirge was helpful by pre-arranged Lijiang Impression show for us. He normally drove us back to room. When nightfall he will make sure my husband and me to zip up our jacket before we board the buggy due the night fall and morning are extremely cold. He also inform his colleague to send us to the Lijiang impression show and also pick us up after the show has ended... All the restaurant staffs and front desks and conceirges are very helpful even their English is not that profound however they do make their best effort to assist us in order to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you Jojo Qian and all staffs including housekeeping in decorating our bed with rose petals by wishing my husband on his birthday and a small cake was provided which was delicious. It was a memorable stay for us.. Highly recommended if anybody wish to have peacefulness and lots of pampering from hotel. It was not necessary to go to the peak of the mountain as we have been facing the mountain everyday and the nearness to it is more than sufficient... Simply blissfulness....

I stayed at this place when it was still Grand Hyatt and there could be some changes since it seems like the management has been changed. Its hardware was excellent and the service was above par. However, the best thing about this hotel is its view and atmosphere. The view from the room (well…from anywhere at the hotel) was amazing and surreal. I will never forget the view. One thing you need to consider is that this hotel is located at high mountain and you can get mountain sickness due to lack of oxygen. When I went (which was almost 2 years ago), there was a bottled oxygen in the room and it was quite useful. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience a mountain lodge.

Fantastic view and architecture in old YunNan style villas - rooms are mostly suites - however seems fixtures sometimes runs into problem - hot water pipe broke in my room and another colleague had problem with the fuse box. Good stay for 2-3 nights to experience the snow mountain

Confirmed by the front desk... The mountain lodge is no longer a Hyatt - so don’t even try to book with Hyatt if you want to stay in the mountain property. I had a good stay in Lijiang Hyatt though.
