It was perfect place for stay in old town in Lijiang. Just at the verge of the old town it is close enough to the main road so thatyou do not have to walk far with your luggage, and just next to the heart of the old town which makes all great places within walking distance.
The guesthouse is prepred with high attention to details, very nicely decorated. The hotel service is prsent all the time and always eager to share with you cup of tea and stories. Typical Chinese breakfast but very tasty (especially mixian!) Very nic small garden in the middle of the house.
If I was to find any kind of negative thing about the hotel it would be the pond from which you can hear the sound of falling water very clearly in your room. But there were some guests who didn't like the sound and when asked hotel service did turn off the water in the night.
What is more the prices are very reasonable in the place and you can easily connect with the owner on Wechat before your arrival. They also offer services of arranging for you airport transportation, local guide, one day trips etc.

We stayed 3 nights in this small hotel in the old town of Lijiang. Amy was very friendly and helpful, and provided service with a smile. The hotel is conveniently located with easy walking distance of all the sites, shops, and restaurants. We highly recommend both Lijiang and Jun Bo Xuan.

An excellent boutique hotel with splendid furnishings, great location, beautiful views of the city canals, a peaceful and meditative water garden, and wonderful service from the most friendly hotel caretakers - all at a reasonable price. Would definitely stay at this property again

This beautiful family owned and operated guest house is beautiful. The family are accommodating in every way. The room we had was huge, extremely clean and overlooked the river running through the picturesque Old Town of Lijiang

The best thing for me at Jun Bo was not the great location, nor the scenic courtyard, nor the great staff, nor the tasty breakfast. It was the amazing quality of the bedding. I think I had never slept before in such a plush comfortable bed, even at home!
They arranged for my luggage to be taken from and back to my car, organized my laundry with a local business... I stayed 3 nights and given the chance, I loved Lijiang so much that I could have stayed a week. Highly recommended.

We are a mixed couple (Chinese and American).
There were someone there who could speak English, but most often they chose to speak Chinese. However, I was able to communicate with the staff. c-Trip messed up my reservation, but the hotel upgraded my room at no extra charge. However, it took some time for this to happen. I would avoid using cTrip, their confirmation system was confusing and I ended up talking to them on the phone (actually my girlfriend did who is Chinese). Even with the phone call, things got mixed up. Even though it is the cheaper of the option, I would probably pay more and use booking.com instead. Anyway,....
The hotel is in a good spot. It is in the old town, but not too close to all of the nightlife. The rooms are large and spacious, There was no complimentary coffee in the room. (water was provided free and there was a heating pot). The bed was unusually soft for a Chinese hotel. (if you travel in China you know the beds are like concrete sometimes). They serve western breakfast, but I only received toast. I was promised scrambled eggs, but that never materialized and we had to run to catch the train. The Chinese breakfast is ok. If you never traveled to China they essentially eat lunch for breakfast. It tasted good, but they seem to serve the same thing on the two days we had the breakfast. You also have to let them know. It is a small hotel, so this was not an unreasonable request.
They will offer to take you to YuLong Mountain for 300 RMB. Do NOT take this offer. There is a tourist information booth that offer to take you for 40 RMB. The total price for everything (all the tickets) will cost about 300 RMB.
The Hotel will offer (for free) to pick you up and bring you to the airport. However, for some reason, they do not bring you to the train station even though it is a lot closer. On plus note, they did help us to get a ride for 50 RMB. So, I guess there is no complaints with that.
Overall, the rooms were clean and the staff were very nice. We went in December, so it was bit on the cool side. A visit in the spring, summer and fall would be a good time to enjoy yourself.

This was the most beautiful stay for us in Lijiang ancient town. You will not regret staying at this 5 star home. The owners/host treated us like family and made us feel very comfortable and appreciated. We sat and had tea and could not stop chatting. The three sisters were very Kind, professional and their uncle, always smiling and humble . We got there very late at night and they were all up waiting for us. Breakfast was amazing and the view was spectacular. This place and the host made you forget time as it stood still. It’s a place that rejuvenates you and make you feel calm. They are located along side the river, peaceful and tranquil. We will always remember the time spent there, especially with the most beautiful, warm hearted sisters. Thank you from Dinesh and Mark, Trinidad & Tobago. See you guys soon.

The owner and staff (Ann and Amy especially) at this guesthouse are brilliant! The property is located in a convenient and beautiful spot. Our room was very large, full of charm and had nice views of the adjacent river. But it was the way that we were treated that made this a very enjoyable stay. The family own a tea business and the result is that they are happy to offer you a variety of teas all day long! They sit with you and explain the different tea types. You also get to meet the other guests this way. And in the evenings we were treated to their own plum wine. We were really made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was substantial and was delicious! Staying at this property was a unique experience! Highly recommended!

A well thought out converted old family home that keeps the charm but is stylishly modernized. In spite of the language barrier the family who run it could not be more helpful. It is near the south gate of the old town so it is a 10 min walk to the main sq, but it is tranquil and lovely. You will fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the tinkling spirit bells and the gurgling of the stream.

We loved our stay here. This is a family run hotel which really care about their guests. They greet you with their own tea everytime you enter the hotel and they are very keen to ensure you enjoy exploring Lijiang.

The room was very well appointed and was extremely comfortable. We even discovered that the digital box has movies on demand, and although the navigation menu is entirely in Chinese most western films are in English with Chinese subtitles... A great restbite from watching Chinese TV!

Breakfast here is excellent, a great way to start the day!

While we were here my girlfriend was ill for a couple of days and we had to change our plans and stay an extra night. The hotel were excellent in arranging this and made sure we didn't have to change room. They even allowed us to have breakfast in our room and made sure we were well stocked with freshly made tea which certainly speeded recovery!

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lijiang.

Thank you for a great stay!

The hotel does not have a business email but I did ask one of the owners for her personal email address. Unfortunately, Trip Advisor does not allow contact info to be posted online. I called them the night before my arrival to arrange the airport pickup. You won't be able to find the hotel on your own.
