We booked last minute and were unable to get the hotel of our choice so we booked the Dehuimen at 500RMB per night. At this price we expected something reasonable. However we got a smelly room with dirty carpets, a tired bathroom and a view of the car-park out back. The beds were hard (although the sheets were clean). Breakfast was a farce. It was located in another building near by and consisted of dried up Chinese food on metal trays that hadn't been washed probably. There was no coffee or tea or any drinks available, and when I asked for a drink I was stared at like it was the strangest thing in the world to ask at a hotel. No English spoken despite the International look to the reception with the world clocks. They didn't recognise a Visa card either.
